US Citizenship General Discussion	Citizenship after I601approved!	Hi to everyone , I just saw a new post and I feel like I'm in the same situation...I got my gc for ten years after my I601got approved,so now,after 3years I filled for citizenship ...(I was sure they issued the 10years one because I was married for 3years). So I never filled for removal of condition,since I never got a 2years one... Did someone experience this before ?is there a mistake from their side or its normal since I've been thru the waiver process? Failure for an alien to update their address with USCIS is a misdemeanor under federal law, punishable by up to 30 days imprisonment and / or a fine of up to $200.   Provided that your friend's lack of filing an AR-11 (change of address form) was not willful then they will probably be ok.   It's possible, but unlikely, that they'll bring this up at the interview. yes,none of them change their drivers license... she actually had a lease on her name ,but in a different state...which she didnt list it also,because she rent that place for her business partner,and that was used as a business adress as well!!! Can pls someone advice me in this confused situation? my friend just fille for naturalization,based on a 3years rule...during filling N400,she did not report one adress where they use to live(her husband had a lease there),because for that year they provide a lease from a different adress...I really dont know what should I advice her,because she dont want to mention ab that adress,and they never changed their drivers license for that place... Still didn't hear nothing from them...last time I called them,they just asked me to give a call back when the 5months period is up! I can't go back,and I already submit the form for change of adress with uscis online!!! At this point,I hope I'll not get my interview letter pretty soon,so I'll have some more time spend in IL state! I guess being a citizen it's not an easy process!!!! I have deportation orders under an old alien no...I obtain the gc after I601 was approved,got the gc for 10years... Now all the naturalization file is under the new alien no that they issued me... Im very confused what is going to happen,since my lawyer doesnt give me a right answer,and all she advices me to do is to wait and see whats going to happen at the citizenship interview!!!! She cant explain why they change my alien no,and she thinks it was a mistake from their side! I need to take a trip outside the US,and i hope ill be fine when ill be back!!1 I travel many times before... If someone can give me an idea,Ill appreciate a lot!!! She also told me that if they made a mistake,they will take my gc away!!! So  the fact that I went on my own back to my country,without knowing ab these deportation orders,and got a request to file for I601,got approved doesnt mean nothing?
