Hi :)

I was looking at timelines here: http://www.visajourn...6,27,28&op6=All I would choose my country in the drop down menu and just went through everyone's timelines. I made a spreadsheet for myself and saw the average times from CC to interview date assigned, from CC to interview, and from interview date assigned to interview. I had a lot of statistics :) I'm now using that link to see average times from interview to visa received on my spreadsheet. It's an amazing tool, I must say Posted Image

And thank you :) Interview is almost here finally.

Thanks Dear.

BTW, great pic :D

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresCalifornia to Texas & Texas to California - Part 2

I'm doing good. Getting anxious for my interview this Tuesday :)

It was 15 days after my case complete that an interview date got assigned to me and the day after that I received the interview package by email. From the interview date being assigned to the actual interview, it was 40 days.

But you have to remember, those timeframes are for Canada. Since you're in Mexico, it's probably going to be different timeframes. You need to look at Mexican's timelines and see what it should be for you. I don't know how busy the consulate is in Cd. Juarez, so it might be a shorter or longer wait from CC to interview.

Hi Saylin, got a stupid question

How do we know the Embassy's timeline?
Thanks and good luck with your interview

it's taken 9 months to the day but we have just got our noa2 from california. I'm not sure if we are the last couple to manage this but Saylin you can update your spreadsheet now for us and hopefully we will get through nvc quickly.

Finally   Congrats

Wish you a quick journey through NVC

I really need the appointment to be in the first or second week of June.
Has anyone ever had any succes in requesting a certain interview date?
any comments?

Hi Shawn,

Yes... 8 months is entirely too long. You need to contact USCIS. If you don't have any luck with that.... then you need to contact the USCIS Ombudsman at: OLUInquiries@dhs.gov

Boa Noite Erick,

So when is the interview?
Me I'm still strugling with NVC, they made a mistake with my girls' file again, TSC is a bad carma. Thinks went back to normal last Wed, Monday hubby will ship the packet.
This process is too long, something has got to change, they destroy people's life.

Hey, everyone, Mrs. P wanted me to tell all of you that she says hi! :) She's really busy at the moment as she's in her last week of school and dealing with NVC as well has just made her extremely busy and hectic. She says she'll return soon once the craziness of school ends. Let's all send her some good vibes Posted Image

Unbelievable. I feel so sad for you, but, remember USCIS - not EVERYTHING that you are told is true. You may yet have been approved - and your docs could be on their way. Check again, stranger things have happened....

Hi Val & Gary,

Called the US Embassy, so weird they do not give any kind of info re IV, I had to pay 14.50€ to have someone telling me they give no info.
I'm so disappointed with the US rules and regulations :crying:

:( :( :( I don't get why you were denied since your AVR changed to saying your case was sent to the consulate. Have you tried calling another operator to confirm your denial? Perhaps that operator mis-read it or something.

I'll call again tomorrow. Too sad to do it now

you said that the automated message said this when you called, right?:

Case Complete:
"... your Case was completed on ...Please allow 8 weeks for further instructions..."

Case Forwarded to Embassy:
"...The NVC has completed the case and forwarded it to the Embassy or Consulate in..."

Is that correct? If it is, then I would have to imagine your expedite was approved and now the embassy has it.

it is ultimately up to the consulate, so yes, they may not accept it. It really just depends on how strict the consulate is on expedites.

Thanks Xelance. So they may send it back to NVC for further processing. Is that correct?
Lidia & JBFemaleFrance2011-03-28 14:04:00
IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresCalifornia to Texas & Texas to California - Part 2

I'm always here ;)

Hmm, that does seem like the expedite was approved since your case was forwarded and they only forward it if either your case has been completed or an expedite was approved. The best way to know for sure though is to call an operator up.

I did call an operator, she said it was sent to the consulate and we will be notified if the expedite was approved by the consulate. Does it mean they may not accept it?

Thanks for your help

Do you know whar does it mean when they say "case forwarded to consulate, waiting for consulate reply", does it mean the expedite was approved?

Hi Lara,

You should call NVC, the operator will tell you to whom you have to address the request. And indeed you should be eligible to expedite.

Hey all, nice to be back, and it's going to take a while to catch up on what's been happening to you all! Thanks for all your kind words. Val & I had an enchanting time together in Pembrokeshire, Wales. The weather was cloudless, spring was upon us, and for a short period, all was well with the world. We're not particularly religious, but we took Holy communion in St. David's Cathedral and prayed for all of us going through this turmoil.

Mr. Badger was true to his word, and arranged for us to be expedited through London - and then the trouble started again. I applied for my UK police certificate in good time - at the end of January. The plan was, for Val to take all my documents back with her for our lawyer to send to NVC - job done.

However, my Police Cert, got LOST, and we had to apply for another. No worries we thought, Val can still take it back.

Mmm - the day that Val flew home, my Police Cert came - just 6 hours AFTER Val had flown. I rushed across to the Post Office - no time to got to UPS or Fed Ex which was 20 miles away, and mailed it on a 3 to 4 day service.

EIGHT days went by, and it FINALLY arrived at our lawyers yesterday -two whole weeks delayed - shades of TSC all over again!

Hopefully, the lawyer will get everything off to NVC TODAY!

Anyhow, congrats to all those who have made it through, and we'll be around now things are sorted!:thumbs:

I know I keep on repeating the same thing, but you 2 are so Beautiful...I missed you so much...

HEY ALL

Thanks so much for thinking of us. I had to make a quick NEW profile because I could not sign on to our old one for some reason. Everything is going well except for Gary's darn police report. That is what is holding us up....we have all the NVC paperwork ready to go and the lawyer is JUST waiting on that. I just called NVC and asked if we could send all the paperwork except that and mail that as soon as our lawyer gets it but they said no, it all has to come at once. Gary is in London right now getting his medical so it's going to be a long day for him. Hope everyone is doing well and progressing!! I was with Gary for 3 weeks and it was brutal leaving him and coming back home. He should be coming home with me.

PEACE AND LOVE TO EVERYONE
