Philippines	i'm just wondering.. give ur comment about this	hi, im just wondering which is more advisable thing to do i will let my fiance call the USEM to set an interview appointment for me or il be the one to call them? I just notice that wen the beneficiary is the one who cols for their appointment, the customer service in USEM will gona ask if we already received the confirmation letter from them and once they found out that we havent have that yet, they will automatically tell us "that we just call them after 2 weeks." and i also noticed that once the USC or the fiance from the US is the one calling them they will automatically entertain our fiance n give an interview appointment without any hesitation as long as the USEM received the hard copy already even without the confirmation letter yet . give me ur insights about this thing so i know wat to do... oh yah dis is my case NVC sent it june 18 and the consulate received it last june 23 9am in the morning ( i track it thru DHL) what is the best date to call dem? or im just gonna follow der policy which is wait until my confirmation arrived and one more thing they cudnt even tell me if i they have received our papers .good thing we can trace it thru DHL! any comments or suggestion will be greatly appreciated tnx! jam	Jb and Jam	Female	Philippines	2008-06-26 03:12:00

Philippines	I-864	That's many times the issue, the "waiting game" and the completeness of your paperwork. As careful as you are with the correct information and the correct documents something seems to go wrong.   Though I am confident that I can do my own paperwork, the instructions from the government agencies can cause confusion. Therefore, I have hired someone that has been doing this for years and his prices were reasonable that it made sense for me to use him. After all, we are all paying large amounts of fees to get this process complete. For me we have had little or no problems. At best, our problems have been with the Filipino Government and the archaic computer systems or lack there of.   I was lucky to have found a beautiful Filipino who told me from the beginning that the process will require patience that you have never tapped into. She was right!!! I have learned to have patience for this process. When one process is accomplished there is always another process behind it.    Good luck and Gods speed. After our wedding here, what will be the best process for me to join him in Japan? Is an approved I-130 petition required for me to get SOFA dependent status in Japan? If not, how is it done? I hope someone can help. You need to file a SOFA status visa at Japan Embassy Manila. My husband was stationed in Okinawa before. We did the same thing but mine got denied cause we weren't married when we filed SOFA. For the best answer on your question, tell your husband ask his commander. That's the easiest way for you two. Philippines	PHILIPPINES filer for CR1/CR2	Yes, it must be done thru certified translator. You can search for this on Google. Find the best price one. I google for this, and I found a company in USA, they asked me $75 USD and each extra copy $10. Plus extra for $30 if one needs faster shipping. Of course, they know what they do. After that, I did a quick research to find a certified translator in India, and I paid $50 USD for 3 copies with faster shipping. So better to try to find one in your country, and if you dont find, then let me know so I can give that US company site name. Of course, they are expensive. Like budget should be around up to $100 USD. Thank you so much for your reply. I'll try to call the embassy in the morning and ask them where can i get it translated. I'll let you know. Philippines	PHILIPPINES filer for CR1/CR2	I sent my son's DS-230 and civil documents to the NVC and i got an email from the NVC after they got the DS-230 and civil documents asking for my son's original birth certificate. I already submitted his REPORT OF BIRTH ABROAD from NSO but they said they need the original birth certificate. My son is born in Japan but he's a full Filipino citizen. I have his original birth certificate from Japan but it's in Japanese. My question is, where can I get it translated here in the Philippines?
