Well we lived together for 3 months in Morocco together. But werent married just trying took that long, so never really married and living together that long. I just hope they did it right. I was shocked how dumb they were at H & Block I went there cause i thought they were tax experts instead totally opposite. I could have did what they did all they did was will in a computer screen that told them what and where to put it!

This makes me wounder about my taxes and if they were done right. I went to H & R Block and I honestly couldnt believe how no one knew anything at all in there.


They are tax experts, not immigration experts.

Talk to an Immigration atty., he will tell you what and how to file under.

Then go back to H & R Block.


They might not be immigration experts but still they should know about how to file and what you need. Its their job to help you and others probably have came in and did this type before.

My husband Called the NVC today to make a follow-up on our case. The operator said that they mailed my documents already yesterday, March 2, to the US Embassy in Manila. I am wondering if that means I will be given a schedule already once the embassy receives it. Any ideas?

That means you should already have a scheduled date. Just keep updated. You can check at Manila embassy website. They will post there 2nd week of this month the schedules for April. Good luck. :thumbs:

You wouldn't believe it but I called the Embassy today to ask if I do have a schedule already. The operator was talking sooo slow(probably deliberately for the PLDT to earn more!). She asked several times the spelling of my last name, 1st name and my middle name. When I gave my middle name, she asked if thats my only middle name. What the heck??!! So anyway, there I was being held to wait and when she finally came back, she said they don't have any records of my case yet and to call on April 2 to make a follow-up! And here's the catch, she said that right now they are only prioritizing family and employment based status. Hello? So what does that make us?? Im so frustrated with this passing on of info from the NVC and Embassy. Its like they couldn't give out direct answers to your questions.

Im trying now to find a way be at his interview if its even possible, but id need a date first of course. Right now the only thing I think they cany deny us on is we have proof of our relationship as just friend then more from 2001 to current but knew eachother since 2000. And to make things worse they have this horrible women doing the interviews in Morocco if you get her you know your not having good luck! What about evidence from your wedding....photos etc. Congratulatory cards, letters etc from family members etc. I dont know about your living arrangements or the requirements in the US....but can you put your husband on the lease etc. Just some thoughts.



Well we have pictures of our wedding party it took us a long time to get married. So thats what we have pictures each of us really only had one close family there me my mother and him his brother. Thats its none of my other family has met him before. And theres a video of the party also. I dont think I can add my husband to my lease here since he would have to sign it.

Thanks Yamsam! Well Ive tried to have as much patience as I can. But its even been way to long since my husband I last seen eachother. I hope we get scheduled this month but for some reason I dont think it will happen. Right now were thinking about me going there somehow I want to be there for the interview incase it will help some. And im so sick of waiting just to see him again. What gets me is how the immigration people are so rude and inconsiderate. You know what? I know exactly how you feel.:( Each month that goes by it feels like you're never gonna get an interview. I'm sorry about the rude people. My husband and I dealt with them too. The ones who seem almost annoyed that you want to know what's going on. It's absurd!

Thanks Chicken little but I dont know I feel weird. I want a date but Im worried what the consular will say or accuse us of. There is so many people going through Morocco with denials even married people. And my husband is almost to nice for his own good Im worried he will just take it and not defend him self or our relationship. Alot of the people are so rude in this process id just love to give them a peice of my mind once. Only a few times do I get nice or caring people to talk to.. Im thinking about calling tonight again to see if there is a interview but doudt there is. I always seem to get the same people or a guy named Jack now he is pretty decent and trys to be helpful. Have you ever tried calling Department of State 1-202-663-1225?

Coz, when my case was transffered (jan 11th)at the embassy i remember calling (jan 23rd) them in just few weeks after the case was completed (jan 4th). And the nice lady told me that my case was recently sent to the embassy and it takes approximately 2 months for my embassy to schedule the interview.

So may be they might be able to give you an approximate wait time for the interview based on your Embassy.

I really wish that you get interview scheduled next month.

Yes I call them at the Department of State and the NVC often.. I call the department of state when I get tired of calling the NVC.. LOL hoping they might be more lucky for me. They told me my case will not be transfered until a date is set. But Iim starting to get some really rude people at the department of state latley when I call. I practically get yelled at for calling cause the NVC is to schedule my interview they said. I hope we get a interview this month. But im not sure it seems Ive heard that since Morocco is on a "denial happy spree" right now that so many people are being denied that they might be behind giving second interviews to people. And all the interview spots are taken I found out a few people from early December are still waiting for interviews. But atleast now im calling the NVC so much im starting to know the names of their night staff!! Lucy and Jack to name a few (he is pretty nice get him alot) Thanks for your help Yamsam

it is unfair for us waiting for CR1?IR1. I feel cheated when i look at the embassy webpage for interview scheds. All the slots are taken by K1s & K3s & Employment-based. There are less than 10 slots given to CR1/IR1.

No offense meant to K1s & K3s...just stating my opinion.



jennie, my heart goes out to you..it has been a very long wait for you...For my husband who is in cameroon , it took only a week to schedule his appointment, he had his interview last week, just to be told to bring more proof of phone calls and emails..even thou he had a pile with him....That day there were 13 people and no one was granted visas, they all have to return tomorrow the 21st will all the same proofs...its carzy....and the interviewer was a rude american female...so much for that...

anyhow...good luck to you and your husband.....I sympathise with the long wait....

Thanks mmebitote but I dont know why I really even care about the visa interview. It wont do any good to get one. We wont be able to see eachother anyways until July cause of his job they wont let him quit and it takes forever to do. So by the time we do finally see eachother again it will be over 2 yrs. So him actually getting the visa finally will probably be even more depressing. Knowing that he finally has it and still cant come here. There is a women at the consular in Morocco who is like how you talk they say she is horrible and you dont want her for interviews!

Since they havent did anything with my case at all yet. Not even set the case to Morocco yet I contacted two congressmen. They were suprised at the least that they still havent sent the case and it hasnt been sent yet. I guess they can do more to help people if its for a really immediate relative. I dont mind waiting but they wont even tell you anything at all at the NVC they just expect you to wait.

Congratulations everyone!! They told me yesterday they were done scheduling already for everyone. That they finished early. But I dont really believe them it just seems really to early. This month began in the middle of a week so they havent even been opened a full week to schedule interviews yet. I think Ill call back next week Monday or Tuesday and pray for good news. I feel bad complaining I havent waitd that long but I cant take not seeing my husband in so long.

Sometimes I wounder if the NVC is even telling you the truth. Or they just tell you what you want to hear cause I have heard they schedule the first week of the month the 2d week and then I was told specifically the 3rd week for Morocco only. Then before I was told they schedule the last week of the month also. So when is it? I havent seen that much of a wait for Morocco most people havent waited that long for interviews unless K visas the consular isnt good to them. So I got told ill be lucky to get an April interview date. I dont know if I believe this operator its only the 6th of the month only 4 days they have actually been open on.

It kind is unfair that the K visas have interviews sooner. But I have heard alot of complaints about interviews that the consulars are bad about getting them done. Alot have to get their represenatives involved. I just called the NVC and talked to a really nice operator (not snatty rude and attuide) like the others they just give you attuide which say wait we will mail it to me. Actually told me they do all the visa scheduling for Morocco CR/IR I visas at the NVC the 3rd week of the month. And to call back then the other people just give an attuide and expect you to wait until then. He also told me that they will set a interview date then they will send it to Morocco. Sometimes I wounder how come the people on the phones at the NVC are there they dont tell you much. Im kind of glad the NVC will schedule the interview so I dont have to fight the Morocco consular for a date. The NVC isnt always perfect and nice but they much better to deal with then the USCIS I hate dealing with those people. They dont even give the right information.

Wounder which it is though I was told before first 2 weeks of the month. But just now I was told they do scheduling for Morocco third week of the month. But he was much nicer then anyone I have talked to there before so maybe he is the one to believe. His name was jack I think awaterlily also mentioned how nice he was before.

Just wondering, but will we (of different countries of origin) be receiving our notices (re: petition has been sent to the embassy) and interview dates by batches according to our timelines? or will it depend on the embassy/consulate?

I'm asking this because I just learned that for K visa, it is the embassy that sets the date, but for IR/CR, it is the NVC.

Am I right on this?




I wounder about this too Im waiting for a interview date also. I just saw some people from Morocco most only have to wait one month from time case complete to get a interview date. Unless like me mine happened in almost middle of month so I had to wait. ld assume that your interview date would be like first come first serve at your consular. Who ever had their case complete before you or had their case arrive there first. But the NVC told me they schedule interviews every month the first two weeks of the month they work on scheduling them.

Hello there Guys, After checking my case status this morning with USCIS, it was updated on 03/17/2011. As you can see My Sign, you can see when I submited my I-130, hopefully this update means that they will have a decision soon. After 1 yr of waiting we got decision of the board of immigration Appeals , The Appeal is dismissed but the good things they approve us that our marriage is legal and not fraud and they said we can apply new application .

Guys wanna a good answer about this please ; if i apply new application and still have old one , will be a problem ? or need to send a letter of withdraw case to USCIS ?

Some counties do have watermarks or other information on back side
but mostly, this is to show validity of birth certificate
I have received many offical copies of mine. 1 had an offical county stamp on the back but only 1 out of 11

Banks were closed Friday for Good Friday. Don't worry. Even my certified cashier's check took a week. Our coundtry is divided into several banking zones. If check goes within your area, it is a 3 day hold. If one of the other areas can be a 10 day hold. Just the way the system works.

the country of your US wife? the US citizen is the one who is suppose to apply so I don't understand. And yes, you will have to fix the mistakes. Send in a letter to state there are mistakes and wait, wait, wait, for answer. Or send in affidavit making the corrections. you can find a simple form to follow online just google "HOW TO CREATE AND AFFIDIVT."

the first thing you should recieve is packet with interview information. and you must wait for the application process to go thru to NVC and then to embassy

and they need home address and your Morocco phone number

They never tell anyone why they deny in Morocco

not on the paper. they deny most the first interview. It is a long process in moroc and you have to fight every step of the way.
