IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Name change in Passport?	I dont know if this helps at all but im the petitioner and I changed my passport after I got back from Morocco. All they did was amend the back of it to says name change from this to this. It only took three weeks pretty fast here and i didnt even have to pay for the name change. I think the main reason for this is you might find an out dated version on the internet or something of this sort. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	How long do we wait now?	This what I was told the embassy will not recieve your case until a interview date is set. Ive been told its about a month before the interview date that they recieve information from the embassy with further instructions. The letter does not include an appointment already made for you. But does tell you where you can try and go and then you can make your own appointment. I had my local represenatives call the NVC and they got alot more out of them then I could! It helped alot you know more where your standing at. And the NVC operators lie!! Just email them and say you have missplaced it and cant find it and who would like to elect as your agent. Ive heard it works and saves time usually. So Im thinking about just sending them to my husband incase. This way incase they ask we dont have to worry. I have my taxes done too but they are no where near the required amount since I didnt work all year. But I did make a fairly large income for the year considering I hadnt worked all year. Thats what I was thinking they have the 2004 taxes for the joint sponor but since the guidelines went up their employment letter looks like they only meet the guidelines by $50 (new guidelines). IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	HELP!	Sorry to hear about this but the NVC is not to good when it comes to losing things. The mail had lost one of my checklist letters and finally found it. But when I called the NVC and told them this it was already 3 weeks I was waiting for it they told me I had to wait another month then they would remail it. Come on a month to mail a peice of paper its not that hard. They can be a little hard to work with at times and the operators can be really snatty. You have to wait about 10 minutes when they say they are transfering you to a operator. Then you can do the automated system press 5 for operator and it works faster. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	What do I do next?	You can still go on with the I-130 and still do the K3. See the I-130 has to catch up with the K3 which probably wont happen. The I-130 spends alot of time at the National Visa Center filling out forms and paper work then you have to wait for another interview date so you probably dont need to worry. I mean your husband or wife is an immediate relative so why have two different names? What if this by the time we get his interview it will be close to our two year anniversary. And he will come in July most likely but what if its almost our two years but not quite? Which type do you get? Or is it still CR-1? I bet I sound confusing!
