But they did ask for proof of how we met and how I paid for the site in my RFE. So, keep proof of that for later. I suggest to keep all emails, chats, phone calls, cards (we send 123 greetings and they let you print them ou tnow). Just be able to prove a real relationship. My fiance and I wish to marry within 2-3 months in Germany, then we wish to file the I-130 with joint Affidavit of support as I am a student and cannot support him financially. K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Is It Worth a Try??	I agree. This is one thing people can avoid with all the birth control out there. It does not support hardship. And K-3? Thought they did not use that anymore. My lawyer told me it was replaced with CR-1. There are some old cases floating around but the K-3 is called CT-1. And all of us have hardships. If you are married you only need the 130; NVC does not take long unless they reauire additional information; YOu should get letter or email if you provided an email address; also you can try each day to sign into your site on NVC; the site you signed into to pay the fees; when you get SIF and can not sign in; it means your case has gone to embassy. Send overnght for the interview. H&R Block copies are not certified. Hi everyone, I need help. My fiance's 1040 form was filed by H&R block, will the US Embassy accept this as proof for the I-134? US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	r Passport or Card Identity Main Office in Dakar???	Wow, all i did was take certified translated copies of his birth record, National ID, marriage certificate, and passport (not translated) into IRS office. and they verified and copied them and sent them in to support my application for ITIN. HOwever , they will not fill out the form as part of your taxes if you ask IRS to do your taxes. why ?? I don't know. We just went through this and the IRS rejected the notary and apostle certificates for my wife's ID, Passport and birth certificate. The document specifically says this is what you need but they wouldn't take them. When I called the IRS they said it has to be the passport notarized by the US consulate. Since we had the interview coming up, I made an appointment for my wife to get her passport notarized, but first off the consulate wouldn't let her in so without a US citizen there, the notary isn't an option and secondly, the US Consulate won't notarize a foreign passport. In the case of China, it has to be notarized by the government notary office. Then certified by the Chinese Foreign Affairs office, then the consulate would notarize this. But the woman said there were no guarantees if the IRS would even accept it then. I have no idea how people have gotten the ITIN number before because we've had roadblocks every step of the way. The upside is because we filed married and joint, even though the ITIN was rejected, as soon as we get her SSN we can file an amended return and get the balance of the refund. US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	Alien Fiance lost job	My husband (also from Morocco) quit his at my request. So, i could add him to my income taxes and he had time to take driving lessons. He has to drive here as I live so far out in the country. Lessons here are $80 an hour and he made about $90 a month. Seemed to me it was better for him to learn there to handle a car and have time for all this paperwork we have had to do. 6 days a week for a split shift of 12 hours a day really did not let us time for getting documents and learning to drive. He is nto lazy man. I have been 3 months in Morocco with him and I know his work. My Alien Fiance recently quit his job and i was wondering that since our petition is in fact a Nonimmigrant Visa type. Do u think our visa application is most likely to be denied due to his ties to his home country not being strong enough? Cuz i heard that with nonimmigrant visa applications the CO looks for that. Canada	Proof of meeting	Get proof of hotel receipts. If you stayed with family get certified statements from them showing your stay and family members in the home. i had to do this for my trip to Morocco. Show bank statemetns for the time you are in country especially if you took money out of ATM or spent any in the country. Even if morder does not stamp paspoe, they have to keep record of your crossing so you might want to check as they write license plate down. Anything else to prove your visit is good. When we filed our Petition I only sent pictures as proof, in hopes that there would be less proof needed since the Beneficiary is from Canada (WRONG). The worst part is that we don't have much of anything else even though we visited each other about twice a month. I am trying to get my bank statements for an account I closed a few months ago even though I'm not sure there will be much on it if anything. I will also be sending an application to get all of my entries and exists from the US but I don't know if that will help since my passport is not always scanned and never stamped. We have car rental receipts that show how many km he drove, and when I pull up driving directions from car rental place to my house the kilometres are close to whats on the receipt. Can this work? Canada	ITIN	I filed my returns last week and now lawyer wants certified copy for NVC. I claimed my Moroccan husband as we married in March 2010 and applied for his ITIN (individual taz payer identification number) Will this delay my return. I enclosed copy of his passport, birth certificate, National ID card and our marriage certificate translated into English. Canada	Canada Passport Renewal - Maiden Name OK?	Since it is not required to change your last name in US when you marry, there should be no problem. I am married 15 months now and have not changed my name as it requires a lot of work. Driver's license, my banking and pay checks, car title, shouse title, social secruity card, etc. and his country of Morocco the woman keeps her family name so this does not bother my husband. I've seen these types of questions searching the forum, but all of them seemed a bit more complicated than my our situation here. Anyway, so my wife had her passport for a good 10 years now (or whatever the duration is for one) and we just realized it's going to expire by the end of the month. On her passport she has her maiden name, of course, and we were wondering if she can use the Adult SIMPLIFIED RENEWAL Passport Application (Form: PPTC 054) and just renew with her maiden name again. Or would this provide issues with her CR-1? We're a bit pressed on time seeing as we just got our NOA2 about 2 months before we expected it! (Yay!! Canada	Anyone bring their car to California?	You might apply for the international driving license before you leave BC. You have AAA there I believe and if you do, can get photos and license thru them. I got mine from AAA before going to Morocco. Looking for anyone who has brought their car to cali before. I own my car and plan on driving it across, its an 05 chevy, I know I have to go to chevy and get the emissions tested as well as a sticker and letter stating that all recalls have been performed and it meets US regulations. Once I get their tho is where my questions are, my insurance agent in BC has told me that I have 30 days from once I move until I have to mail back my plates to BC?? Now, am I able to get a cali drivers license without a SSN? Can I insure the car? Would the easiest thing be to have my fiance insure the car? Any help would be appreciated. Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	Affidavit	yes, affidavit should be notarized. It is a sworn statement. Just go to your bank and ask for notary. this is not hard to do. To Whom It May Concern is the formal greeting on any standard business letter when you do not know name of receiptent. I am in disagreement here with many who state that an affidavit does not need to be notarized. The instructions for I-751 do call these affidavits and by my understanding of the definition of an affidavit is a "sworn statement of fact" witnessed by someone legally eligible to take oaths. I am not an attorney so my definition might be outdated, but to me an affidavit will require notarization. Notaries are fairly cheap and easy to find. No waiting. Unless your taxes were sent in in Apri, and have not been precessed. when did you file them? did this require you asking for ITIN for spouse? Mine took 4 months to process that way. there really is not enough information on your question for a correct answer. I sent mine in February 17th. Finally recieved my refund in June. Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	Wife left after the 1-175	Good answer I agree. well, i wouldnt report it just yet, perhaps there is more to this story then you know... but yes, its too late to think about deporting her...coz here's the thing....your friend and her entered the marriage into good faith. and like you have said, they already submitted their I-751 paperwork, which shows the co-mingling for the last 2 years of this true marriage. if you report it, the worse that will happen is, she will be called to an interview - she will have to explain what happened to the marriage and also show evidence the marriage was entered into good faith and not to circumvent immigration laws (and she has all the documents to prove this). Once interview is over, the IO will decide her status - either approve her 10-Yr GC or start removal process. And even if they go to remove her, she can appeal the process etc etc.... So... IMO i think its too late in reporting her, because she wont be deported. And then....what would happen if she and your friend got back together and could work things out? so all this reporting would damage their relationship and delay her 10-Yr GC, and potentially put them into more stress than necessary... Also, if your friend does go ahead to report her, and he also lies and says that they only got married for her to get a visa, just remember HE could get in trouble - 5 years federal prison and $100,000 fine or something like that, for lying to the government and helping someone get a visa by way of fake marriage. anyways, this is all my opinion....but hope your friend is doing ok though...sorry to hear about her leaving him. its always sad when stuff like that happens. This is required even if your records were sealed or otherwise cleared or if anyone, including a judge, law enforcement officer, or attorney, told you that you no longer have a record.” although my fiance indicated on the I-129F form that he has never been convicted of the crimes outlined on it, a government search of his records came back that he has been. does anyone has the same RFE ?? does anyone knows if bad police report affect K1 visa????
