K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresslightly worried

Everything is indeed quite normal for your case processing, no worries! Relax and enjoy some popcorn :pop: NOA2 won't be too far off!

Good luck on your journey!

Hey can I have some popcorn? I'm running out of it :luv:

Kaitlyn, it's ok to be a worrywart and we can fully understand how you feel because we're going through the same thing with this whole process. But as long as you're within your timeframe, just relax and have some popcorn from ready4ONE.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresslightly worried

Ironically, no news is good news. Seems like peeps with no touches and RFEs get approved quite methodically. The waiting is hard. But, the VJ timelines are accurate. My timeline was off by one week. I called the USCIS Customer Service Center to tell them that a VJer had been approved that applied one week after me. Low and behold, the next day I received NOA2. I'm not saying that calling is effective, but that's how my case turned out.

I agree! Others wanted to be touched because they thought it would mean CSC is really working on their cases. Most of the VJers didn't get touches till the day they got the approval.
David-and-MaeFemalePhilippines2007-02-10 00:54:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresWhy???

At the USCIS they say that they process all the petitions and documents in the order they recieve them. I know that i have been told a thousand times that every petition is different but that is contradicting to what they say. The thing I want to know is WHY people in November have recieved their NOA2 when I turned my petition in, in OCT no touch AND NOTHING!!! This is also contradictry to what they tell you on the phone and on the internet. WHY

You ask the age old question here on VJ... Perhaps the best thread to address your question is found here:

http://www.visajourn...showtopic=30668

heisha's response to this very same question back in September of 2006 seems to me to be the best and most plausable explaination of California Service Center I have ever read.

Good luck on your journey!

You'll probably get your NOA2 anytime now...   that's exactly how it happens... let's just hope that it's not RFE  because you get touched too for that.

Thank for that info, I guess I'm just really impatient, I just can't wait till I have some sort of reply.

If you'll get impatient, the rest of the journey will surely kill you...   Try to relax and while you're here, learn to explore and read a lot. I remember, I was snapped at by many VJers when I posted something about getting impatient for NOA2 after 3 weeks of filing. I thought they'll eat me alive! That's when I learned the value of patience...

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures46% of November cases have NOA2
Let's just all be thankful that CSC is giving out NOA2s again for this week. We're not the only one in their system and they probably gave out approvals to others who are not VJers. Let's hope and pray that the rest of October filers will be given NOA2 and all November filers will pull off before Feb ends to give way to us, December filers.

Be happy and merry! A little bickering is kind of entertaining :luv: but it's really not going to help...

By the way, has anyone of you submitted an affidavit of support before you fiancee flew to US?

Affidavit of Support should be provided by the petitioner for beneficiary's interview at the consulate. It will show that the petitioner is capable of supporting the beneficiary upon entering US.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresNovember Filer Just got "touched".

Hey..I am new here...just got registered....my fiance filed the I-129F in November too...we got the NOA1 on Nov 28, 2006...we havent heard anything yet since then...according to USCIS...our case is still pending..is this true? based on what ive been seeing here..it seems that the processing with your cases are so fast...ours is in the California Service Center, although we sent it to Texas Service Center.

Do u think guys, we're almost there?

By the way, what do u mean when you say "touched"?

Goodluck to us.

The last one who received an approval has NOA1 date of Nov. 21, 2006... If you say yours is Nov. 28, I think you're pretty close. Let's just hope that you got everything in order and won't have to receive RFE. Since Nebraska and Texas don't process K1 anymore, all cases filed there are forwarded to California. As for the "touched" that's the last date they updated or checked on your case...

Hang in there... They're working on November filers so you'll probably get yours before Feb ends (I hope!)

Good luck!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresHow useful is the 'Proof of Ongoing Relationship'?

Starting my I-129F and wondering how useful the 'Proof of Ongoing Relationship' is?

I talk to her daily, but the phone cards only show a vague charge name on my credit card. Will there be a RFE that we are still involved with each other.

Should I mail a postcard just for evidence? Copy emails?

-thanks!

Pictures together will prove that you two have met prior to K1 application and of your relationship. Airline tickets, boarding passes, itineraries, stamped passport pages, hotel accomodations/receipts, etc. are the kind of proofs that you'll need to include in your I-129F packet. As for the telephone bills, letters, email and the likes, you can use them for the interview part later. Sending postcard and mail will help establish your ongoing relationship and might be of help as well.

Thought it was going to happen on Valentine's Day once we got *touched*. Nope. Now, we've been *touched* again today and still waiting (less and less patiently)!
So much for the attorney's (and I quote) "they (USCIS) go through and pick out the one's from attorney's to approve first, because they're more likely to include all pertinent docs!" GRRRRRR

Your attorney seriously told you that? They sure sold you on their services, didn't they?

Chelseafan, TracyTn, FwaGUY, and all you other november filers, I feel for you. I am however quite confident that more of you November filers will be happy by Saturday morning.

Hi everyone,

My fiance is preparing photos of us to send with his I-129F application and we are having a difficult time narrowing the number of photos down to less than 25...is it ok to submit 25 or more photos of us? or should we exclude more? How many pictures have you submitted?

I couldn't recall how many pictures we included but I think it's more than 10  and we have a lot of them for my interview in the future

No touches, nothing!!!! I hoping for no RFE. Good Luck Everyone

guys, this visa thing really need more patience. i know how everyone feels right now, especially those november filers who haven't got NOA2 yet. just 1 piece of advice, hang in there and think positive...and of course the most important PRAYERS. GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF US!

There are some October filers without NOA2 until now so don't get so worried. As long as you're in your time frame, there's no reason to fret because it won't help. Just pray, it helps a lot. Looking at your timeline and calculating others' who received their NOA2s, yours is on its way. No touches doesn't really mean they're not working on your case. Maybe your packet is too organized and have met all the requirements and no reason for USCIS to touch and RFE. Sometimes, no touches is also a sign that you did a wonderful job arranging all the documents. Good luck to all of us! December filers like me are all sweating now and very anxious because our turn is getting closer and closer and closer.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresphotos without date printed on them

With my (seemlingly stupid) Fuji digital camera, I cant seem to print the photos with date printed on them. (There is some DPOF option to write the date but for that you need DPOF compatible printers and no retail stores tartget, walmart etc know about all this). So my photo prints dont have date on them.

I am planning to write the date, place, and names on the back of each photo? Is this safe enough and acceptable?

ps:
On the other hand, these days with digital prints, you can pretty much put anything on them using the PC software. So I cant imagine this being a huge problem

I wrote down dates and a little caption at the back of our photos that didn't have date printed.

aagoes is right, it all depends on who will review your case. Don't worry about pictures too much since it's only a secondary evidence...
