K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	I-129F Sent!!!	Good luck!!! I would also still be sitting here scratching my head if I hadn't found this site. I sent my I-129F this week, too. Ryan I agree, I would have been completely lost and confused. The USCIS website is not very helpful and really does not have complete information. Certainly not the support and encouragement. Congratulations on beginning your journey and good luck! You guys were all lucky that you found VJ prior to I-129F application. We've already mailed ours when I joined here. I was a frequent "Guest" and "Anonymous" way back 2005 but I just love reading posts and didn't realize that one day, I will be part of this community. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	RFE!! How long until FINALLY approved?	Thanks to ya'll to try to cheer us up. Today is another day and I accepted the fact, that we have a RFE! I hope too, that we will get approved right after they receive the papers they asked for (which we don't know yet). @Froggie I don't know, if we received an e-mail?! On the USCIS page, we saw that our case was updated and that they sent the RFE out. I guess we will have it by friday. Our guessing is the birthcertificate too, since we just sent the short version in. So we are prepared for that to send the stuff right back, to not cause any more delays!!! So if you were to get a RFE, you should check on your case status, that's where you'll find it. As my fiance already stated, we just miss each other sooooooooooooo effin much, that every delay is a slap in the face and we already waited soo long. Sure we are in the time frame, that's what I keep telling my baby. But when you see other people passing by, especially the Vermont people (no offense) who filed a way after us. It just gets frustrating!!! Well....we will see, how fast we'll get approved! I just hope it will be soon, because I start getting depressed!!! I know it's just the start, but I'm relieved and thrilled and so excited about him getting here !! The notice date is February 28 ... does that make me a February Filer? Hope so. Thanks to all of you for the moral support and encouragement! Nothing like being powerless to make you a little nuts. I have an expectation of a gradual, yet distinct, mental decline after waiting 8+ months to be approved. By June, I'll be having conversations with door knobs. Anything before that would be a huge bonus. Dawn. It helps a lot if you will look forward to a later date approval instead of expecting for an early date. That way once you got approved quickly and earlier than you expected, it's going to be a big surprise. That's what I did. We expected a mid-March approval but it came last week of February. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	NOA2 Recieved	Just got my NOA2 in mail with approval of 9 Mar 07. The USCIS nevered emailed me and no status change online. So glad to have it. Yeah ! ???: So now I wait couple weeks and call NSC for new tracking number or what? What number do I call and which extension, in order to get update and new number?? USCIS online sometimes sucks so don't be surprised. Here's the link where you can find all you need to know http://www.visajourn...amp;page=k1flow and this one too What to send to your fiance(e) once the I-129F is approved (Receive NOA2): 1. A copy of the entire I-129f package (that you made when you sent the petition in) and a copy of information that you sent back due to an RFE (if you received one). 2. Send all originals of the documentary proof that you submitted for the I-129F to your fiance(e) for their interview at the embassy. 3. Send an original letter affirming your desire to marry your fiance(e) and your continued support of the K-1 Visa. Sign and date the form. This will be similar to the letter you provided with the I-129F, but dated much closer to the interview (it will have most likely been several months since you submitted your I-129F). 4. I-134 Affidavit of Support form. Ensure it is notarized (by a US Notary Public), with all required supporting evidence. Begin collecting the required information ahead of time, as it can often take several weeks to collect it all. 5. You will likely need at a minimum (for the above form) two to three of your most recent pay stubs and a signed letter from your employer listing you job title, start date, your salary, and the status (full-time) of your position. Begin collecting these ASAP after your NOA2 arrives. You will also probably want to include other evidence such as your banking information and other assets as required by the I-134. Specifically you will need at least 2 of the 4 options mentioned in Section II-Supporting Evidence of the I-134. See this FAQ for more tips and ueful information on the Affidavit of Support Form. 6. A copy of the NOA2 that you received in the mail. 7. Proof of your ongoing relationship. This needs to be taken to the interview! Include photos, travel documents, emails, etc from between the time you filed and present (NOA1 date-now). Examples: Copies of phone bills, cell phone bills, emails (you can edit personal info with a marker), letters (edit personal info also), stamps on the letters (to document the date they were sent), and other written documentary proof. Provide a reasonable amount; two to four of each type. Pick a range of dates up to and including the present. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Surprise! Surprise! Surprise!!!!!	Talked to my fiancee tonite after trying to get a hold of her for three days. I called her at work and was able to talk. She said go to YM and I will tell you what is bothering me. We meet in Ym and she tells me. " I have had a change of heart and do not want to move to USA." She says, " I am scared and do not want to follow through with it." Now bear in mind I have made plans, purchased tickets, got hotel room suite and am going to the Philippines in 25 days to see "my fiancee." Needless to say as you can see by our timeline the ####### was totally knocked out of me. Have you ever tried to cancel internet flite and hotel tickets bought thru a broker of said things? I am just floored. I simply wrote her an email and said I hope you can look your 5 y/o daughter in the eyes when she is 12-15 and tell her you did what you thought was best. Nerissa and I have been talking about this for 4 years and now she does this. I have no idea how she could do this to me. I am still going to PI in March. I saw for myself that there are millions of beautiful ladies there and who knows. End of chapter, start a new one. My life is definetly a chapter book. Kevin I'm so sorry for what happened. You have gone through a lot, both of you did, and this sudden change of heart is really surprising. Like what PW said, since you're going back here in PI this March, see her again and maybe then she will realize everything and think about it thoroughly? Let's just hope that there's no third party involve... You're really, really close and it's saddening to see that all your efforts will be wasted. Sometimes, women need reassurances too... Well, it was no mistake because I got the NOA2 in the mail today!!! It was approved, not sure how but what do I care... this is amazing and thank you all for your support. I know this will not be the last time I ask for it, so thanks in advance. WOOOHOOO... NVC and Cuba here we come... let the waiting continue. Congratulations! Then it is true too that you break the record of the fastest approval in CSC's history! That's awesome! If you're going to use it in your I-129F packet, it should be addressed to the service center where you will file the petition... My packet contained: Letter of Contents of packet I-129F Petition for Foreign Fiance, signed and dated 2 passport photos with our names written on the back 2 Letters of Consent to Marry (Me and Edgar) 2 G25a Forms (4 pages dated and signed for me and 4 pages dated and signed for Edgar) Copy of my Birth Certificate Copy of Edgar's Birth Certificate (just in case) Copy of my Final Judgement of Divorce from my x-husband 5 8X10 photos of Edgar and I Check for $170 Emails we wrote to each other Copies of Receipts Copies of Travel Itineraries Copies of Phone Records I think that pretty much covers it! I did this for 6 HOURS TODAY!!! I better not get an RFE! I won't. Wish me luck! We are so siked! Everything looks good to me... You're lucky you filed at VSC. Learn every dialect of the Chinese language. 7. Sing the Batman theme incessantly wherever you go. 8. Embroider your name on every stitch of clothing you own. 9. Try to start conversations with as many 1-800 operators as you can per day. 10. Write a book on 101 things to do while waiting on NOA2. I'm hoping you and Gemma will get the NOA2 next week... You will learn alot just being here at VJ but it's still your best judgment if you'll do the paperwork yourself or hire an immigrant lawyer. Reading the GUIDES will give you all the information you need in starting K1 and members here can give you advices and helpful tips. We thought about hiring an agency but the fact that it's still us who will fill up forms and provide necessary documents, we decided to do it on our own and so far, so good - we're almost half through the K1 journey. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	birth certificate - foreign fiance - why?	I think it all depends upon the adjudicator who will look into your case... Some cases got approved even thought they did not send a copy of it, some received RFE... Although beneficiary's BC is not really listed in I-129F's requirements, if you have it, send it in. I'm sure it won't hurt your packet as long as (for foreign language) it has a copy translated in English. We did send in our packet a copy of my BC not because I've read about it somewhere, but because I thought it would help our case. It was just a mere hunch and we're so glad we included it. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Crying!	I got so frustrated and worried during the whole visa process because it seemed taking forever. But the only time that I really shed tears was when we finally got approved. Tears of joy because everything went smoothly for us. As for being far away from my sweetheart, that's a different story. Of course we both cry every now then out of miseries and loneliness, which is a normal thing in long distance relationship... I bet I will cry again once NVC forwarded our case here in Manila consulate and then will cry again once I got the visa. TEARS OF JOY, it really feels good shedding tears when you're so happy! If you have a copy of the BC, it won't hurt if you'll send it. Just make sure that it's translated in English because even if you did include a copy of the BC but in foreign language, the chance of getting RFE is still very likely... Oh well...if we keep complaining it wont change a thing. But it still pisses me off. I am not going to send in the original ticket stubs from John, because I am not going to wait until slow ### USPS brings it to him, we might lose alot of days because of that. So we just send in copies of his tickets and pictures with date and location on it. Lucky them, now they will be able to see about 200 pictures....lol Diana PS Congrats Mae, I see they finally sent your case to NVC and you got your number!!! yayyyy Scanned evidences will do, don't worry. I hope your reply to RFE will make it to CSC on Monday. That way you won't have to wait for so long. Like I said, send them back everything that you included in your original packet plus whatever you didn't send. I'm glad to be out of NVC and have the new case number. Next stop would be calling Dept. of State to check if we have medical and interview appointments yet. Manila USE already released last Mar. 15 the May batch interviewees and I wasn't included. Since the next announcement would be not until the 15th of June (which is darn too long for me), I thought about making inquiries for our schedules. I remember, in our original I-129F packet, I included a copy of my birth certificate because we thought they might ask for it. I even included a copy of a Certificate of No Marriage just to show them that I am legal and free to marry my petitioner. They were not required too but we thought an "overkill" packet won't hurt our petition. As for the proof of meeting, just send them your pictures together (again) and write at the back the date and a little caption (that's what we did). If you have travel reciepts, itineraries, boarding passes or any documents that will show John's travel to see you, send it. Did you know that I even included in our paperwork the security check stickers on David's luggage because it showed dates and locations? Just think of all the documents that you think might help strengthen your proofs and send everything. Once you've sent back the RFE, I'm sure you'll get the NOA2 in no time. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	45 days delay, because of wrong spelling?	Diana... Am sure it's ok...I think that 45 Days thing is a standard response and doesn't take that long in reality. I changed my address (I know, not the same thing) between NOAs and the automated response was "Up To 45 days" as well - in actuality it didn't take anywhere near that long and may even have been right away...
