K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	March 2013 Filers K1	Wow, more n more Jan filers being approved last nite and this morning!!!! Its almost out turn guys!! i am so happy CSC is moving again!!!! At this rate some of us March Filers could b adjudicated in June!! And the rest in July!!! Lets keep praying!! Also, i read that the time of the year u file is a factor? Idk the validity of this, but from what i understood the 3-4 months before Christmas is the slowest, and then the 3-4 months after Christmas is when speed picks up. I was told Febuary is the best month to file but i couldnt get ours out that quickly so March it was! But hey, im thinking us March filers wont have an issue. Im praying anyways!! I feel so bad for the filers in July, aug, sept, oct & november that seemed to have been left behind i wish it was a more uniformed process! Predictions would b much easier also.. Any ways!! My fiance called them today and they said that due to the unexpected high volume of I-129 forms, there's a longer wait period of 3 to 4 weeks http://static-forums...MO_DIR#/sad.gif They better speed up...good luck to us all! It just does not make any sense.. Especially since they claim to adjudicate in the order received! Its bs! Im happy for those people but yet so sadened for the ones still waiting that should b done with this part of the process... K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	OMG, OMG, OMG!!!!! :D	I am soooo excited....I checked the USCIS website about an hour ago and i couldn't belive my eyes...My case is approved guys!!! I cannot describe the level of gratitud and happines i felt, God is good!!.....i prayed everyday, i wrote to the congresswoman, i wrote to the senator, i called all the time, i lost sleep, i cried almost everynight but it is finally here.   After 7 months exactly i can finally do my happy dance...woohoo!!!!!!       Thank you all for the words of encouragement, for all the answers and all the advices...i have been waiting for this day for so long!    Thank you God! Even being pregnant or suicidally depressed are not considered good enough reasons! Some reasons expedites are granted are that there is a war going on in the immigrant's home country, or the immigrant is a child left without care, or a relative in the US requires the care of the immigrant and care cannot be given any other way. It is hard to prove and is often denied. "I miss my sweetie" is definitely not a good enough reason.   Fortunately you are allowed to visit each other while the process is happening. The immigrant must have a proper visitor visa (or qualify under the Visa Waiver Program if available in their country). There are other constraints. You should search the forum for "visiting during process" for more information. You can always visit the immigrant in their country, or you can both visit a third country. You and the immigrant must be available for any interview or other appointments you may be notified of if you decide to be away.   Also, please correct your details; your local office is not Chicago if you live in New York. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	cr1 visa	ok, presently i study here in the caribbean and she visited in Dec 2012 and just last week she visited me again in the caribbean, we have proof with engagement pictures when i propose to her. am returning back home and she coming to and we gonna get married in few weeks. everything is plan. and she gonna stay with me 2months after our wedding. do you think i have a chance to visit her? U can certainly try to get a visitor visa but keep in mind the fees are non refundable and it will b very difficult for u to get a visitor visa to here... You file & wait and the USC visits Nigeria. The visa for there is simple for a USC to retain. Everyone has to wait n go thru the process and its not always 6-9 month waits. U mite get lucky. Average wait times from start to finish is around 1 year... Good luck & find things to keep u occupied during waiting... People to talk to help... I just found I am in need of a Visa and we are stuck!	ok well heres the thing if you are broke how will be able to pay for the fees.and im sorry to say this but u might have to leave her for a while because if she does get a tourist visa it wont last forever aqnd if u file for just a regular visa for her to come to the us it might take months and even year or more. so if you want to apply for her and stay in france u might have to keep renewing ur passport and if that isnt allowed in france then u might have to go back to the u.s and apply for her and get a job and wait until everything is all done. and u might wanna look for a job because u gonna need it for ur affidavit of support or alteast have a friend or family member who has good taxs and they want to help u. good luck hope everything goes well   He said he had a job in the US, just not in France. Ok so, my fiancee has been sent to a village basically and is stranded there forced to live with no electricity *at all* no running water, no kitchen and means to prepare food, very limited funds, no sleeping arrangments. Im worried sick and i just want to know if we shuld file for an expedite? I understand we can at any time, but the success rate is BLAH and to me this is an emergency to get him home but wether or not the USCIS gives a crud is another issue.. my question is, if i request and expedite and send supporting documents, will it slow my case down if its denied? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	K1 Fiance Visa	yes i have some advice... DO hire an attorney... Do not try to file independantly!! Yes the cost is around $500-$1,000 for the fee and then of course the costs to the USCIS for filing and all the other costs that go along with a petition but i have been reading VJ for about 2 months now every night to stay updated and the info i gathered (someone correct me if im wrong) is this....... most applicants if not all that are represented by an attorney have less wait times and their journey is much smoother. I have yet to see anyone represented by a law firm or attorney get an RFE, slowing their petition down. I also have observed many many filers waiting 10-12 months before being adjudicated without an RFE but the ones reperesented do not wait more the 8 months tops! I asked USCIS today while speaking to a tier II rep, why this happens. She laughed a little and responded by saying the petitions are much better put together by lawyers!! She also indicated that the chance of one's petition being looked at by an ajudicator is greater if the file is correctly prepared. If they see the slighest of error (not even large enought for an RFE) they set it back down and move on to a better prepared petition. This is why the petitions do not come out in the same order they are recieved. I have used the easy fiance visa attorneys and im impressed with their dedication and they are in contact with USCIS weekly! They are from California and even have personal relationships with employees. not that they give preference to their clients but they dont set a file down from them once they open it. They prepare the petitions very well and just the way an adjudicator likes to see them making their job easier and faster. Most attorneys, much like the Easy fiance law firm, also guarantee processing times to be withing an 8 month time frame.. and approval.... or your money back in full! and they stand by it! They are more then helpful and certainly help to ease any stress. They answer questions USCIS wont, and they assign one attorney to you for the entire process so your not talking to different people.. you get to know them on more of a personal level. i would highly recommend anyone to get an attorney. and if the fee of $795 is to high, how will you support your fiancee anyways? idk y more people dont get an attorney or legal represenative. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	expedite request	This only means that you have been acknowledged.... your next step will b after they request supporting info for the circumstances in which u feel ur petition shuld b expedited, to send what ever documentation you have to support your request and then they take around 30 days to approve or deny the request. what are your circumstances? under what grounds are u requesting an expedite? im interested to know becus i recently inquired about an expedite to a tier II USCIS supervisor and her answers were direct and after talking to her i felt it may be risky to request an expedite for the simply fact that they take ur case off the shelf then place it back in line but not til they recieve your info on the expedite and make the decision so if its not approved for expedite it may slow your case down. i was afraid of denial and chose not to request expedite. plus i asked on here and others advised against it. still i am curious as to what a legit reason for expedite would b.. good luck on your journey plz keep us posted on how well this request goes...	yorubaqueen13	Not Telling	Nigeria	2013-05-04 22:03:00

A friend can not sign as your legal guardian unless they actually are your legal guardian on the legal document signed by the Judge. Guardianship is a legally binding document appointing a competant adult over the age of 18 to be financially and legally responsible for all decisions including medical, for a minor or impaired person. who ever is listed as your legal guardian on such documents would ned to sign (if required) Any other persons trying to impersonate your legal guardian would be committing fraud and if your aware of such activity you would also be committing fraud. Just outta curiosity, why do u need the signature of a legal guardian for a fiancee visa? Read these POE reviews http://www.visajourney.com/reviews/ Sometimes people write that they came across an officer who wasn't familiar (hadn't dealt) with K1 visa before and wasn't sure what to do and had to call on their supervisor. But I'd assume this may happen at any Port of entry. It's rather logical to choose the airport the closest to your USC fiance(e)'s dwelling place This is actually what prompted me to ask. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	port of entry question	I am not booking any flights this early in the stages, however i have been tracking flights for September-November just to keep sight on ticket prices. I am wondering if there is a "prefered" port of entry or possibly one is better then another? I have been looking into flights from my fiancees country into Chicago O'Hare. Anyone experience this port of entry? One can assume any where you first enter the US would be no different then the rest but you know what happens with assumptions.. lol... so any advice or experiences would be helpful when making our travel plans after we recieve the visa. Also, does it help at port of entry if the USC accompanies the visa holder, or is there no difference?
