I feel quite lost right now. I got a 221g during my interview and had to submit extra documents. I did so last week and I am still under Administrative Processing. My CEAC status got updated March 6th but it's still on administrative processing... should I be getting worried? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	September 2013 Filers	From what I understand, after you submit the required documents it goes relatively quickly. A girl from the UK forum was denied because her birth certificate was tatty and her bio page in her passport was peeling. She got a new copy of her birth certificate and a rushed new passport and was approved within days. Depending on how quickly you get the documents and get them to them.   I'm so sorry to hear this happened to you as it's something completely out of your hands. Do you not have a birth certificate after your adoption? My son was adopted and his original birth certificate was destroyed and he was issued a new one with his new name and mine and my ex husband's name. This was in the US, so it may not be the same process where you're from. Nonetheless, I hope things work out for you and quickly.    Thanks for the info... In Korea, they do not issue birth certificates at the hospital but rather when you register your child. In my case, I was never registered. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	September 2013 Filers	Tough day today as I waited over 5 hours and got a refusal because I don't have a birth certificate I was adopted from Korea and babies only got birth certificates when they were registered by their parents. Now I have to get a letter from the Korean Embassy.    Anyways else get denied and then have to send things in with your passport? Visa Journey has really been a pillar to my patience, my hope and my support system as I continue through the process. I wanted to thank everyone for that!   Congrats to everyone who is finally done!!!!!! And for those of you who are still waiting, this is the last stretch!!   I do have a question for anyone who can answer Once your visa is approved and you receive it in the mail, is there is specific port of entry that you must travel through? Does the consulate tell you which one is mandatory or does that matter? Also, is there a specific amount of time you have to wait before traveling? My VISA appointment is on Feb 26th.... K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	September 2013 Filers	HI! So we received an RFE notification this morning at 8:30am PST. Has anyone here received an RFE and what are they usually for? From what I hear they act pretty quickly once they receive the evidence.   Any advice is appreciated.     Hello!   I received a RFE and after I handed it in, everything was quite quick afterwards. They just want evidence that you two are in an ongoing relationship. Mt fiance and I handed in all Skype logs, pictures of us together, flight itineraries, screen shots of facebook comments of our engagement announcement, pictures of each other with our families, and more screen shots. we also sent in receipts of hotels, the engagement ring etc.   be very thorough with this. have a cover page, label as much as you can as well. you don't want them to send another RFE so make sure its detailed. USCIS Service Centers	Is this normal???	This whole process is so crazy random!!! Its just so unorganized.. I confess I feel blessed, less the 4 weeks at USCIS, after approval NVC received case in less then 2 weeks which was july 24th and its now being sent to Embassy... So from start to Embassy its less then 5 months.... But I feel so terrible for others that experience such long waits yet did nothing different then we did... I really pray for everyone... Theres no rhyme or reason these procedures are so spiratic.... Its not even explainable... U can only average the processing times.. Its never ever predictable!! National Visa Center (Dept of State)	NVC has idiots working	Its Not a dig at the immigrants..Its just a state ment so people UNDERSTAN when you have a certified copy..its what it IS..and the supervisor could NOT seem to understand what a certified stamp seal is...Im just fed up with this..I cannot believe this is so HARD to get thru NVC..I have another certified copy of it IN MY HANDS...I guess Ill just send away to the courthouse for them to stamp EVERY page and have the Commisioner write a letterhead paper on TOP to say...THIS IS A TRUE XCOPY....
