Hi everybody.
Please if anyone of you can help us will be welcommed.

We met in 2005 she's american and i am italian. After many travel we decided to prepare for a life together.
We do not have a clue on how to make it happen.

I am actually living in Italy and she live in the US. We would like to move together to the US.
We would like to know what is the best and easier way.

For what we read the best is the CR 1 visa.
Some questions:
- Can i go in the US on a tourist visa and marry her there then go back to my homecountry and prepare all the forms? I cannot stay in the US without work. I need an income because i am paying already a mortgage in Italy.
- Do you suggest to have a lawyer? We checked out some but they are really expensive. (300$/h).
- Is the CR 1 the best one for our situation?

More question will follow in base of the answer we get
Thanks in advance

Start with the "guides" on this site.

You may want to consider the DCF (direct consular filing) if your future wife qualified, it's the fastest way of getting you a CR-1 visa and you are able to work in US right away. But, you need to be married before you can file CR-1 the DCF way.

Try avoid having to deal with USCIS, we regretted we didn't do DCF before my husband went home and ended up being separated for a long time.

She is not living in Italy. How can we know if she qualify for the DCF?

If i could get a work permit while i am still in Italy i could have my company moving there. The problem is they do not give a sponsorship to anyone but if i have a workpermit they can find me a job in the US.
I cannot stay 90days there hoping to find a job.

I would prefere to go in the US with a work permit so i can have a job right away

If only all of us are in CSC we are 3 months away from Approval. I saw an august filer, NOA1 dated August 8, 2008., And they are already approved. Good luck to CSC filers here... Your approval is just an inch away.

CSC seem to be moving so fast. While VSC has been sleeping all this time.

We are still waiting and moreover our case is not online yet.

lets just talk about NOVEMBER FILERS here....

I 100% completely agree! If i was in NVC already I wouldn't be that NEGATIVE!

You've got a point. I'm not a November filer, so perhaps I shouldn't be raining on your parade. But my advice is what it is. It's advice.

If you were in NVC already, you'd be happy, huh? Well, if you were in NVC now, it would be because you haven't been with your spouse for a year.

We are at VSC, NOA1 received Nov 7th and we cannot see our case on line yet!!!!!

We receive this error:

You must correct the following error(s) before proceeding:
Your case can not be found at this time in Case Status Online. Please check your receipt number and try again. If you need further assistance, you can either call the National Customer Service Center at 1.800.375.5283, or you can send an e-mail to uscis.webmaster@dhs.gov.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresThe marriage in the US is it valid in my country?
We married in the US and then moved to Italy. I am italian citizen. After you get married contact the italian consulate in US and they will explain how to have your marriage registered in Italy too. In Florida they asked me for the apostille. It tooks awhile to have it but not rocket science.
The consulate will help you.
It's pretty easy

National Visa Center (Dept of State)FROM PETITIONER (Components for I-864 AOS Package)
We have been reading the lingche shortcut guide to NVC and we have some question:
Tax Transcripts, optional but may help. Call the IRS to get it FREE! 1 (800) 829-1040
- W-2s and/or 1099s
- 1040 from most recent tax year
- Pay stubs for current year (6 months should do)
- Employment letter showing your income and position.
- Co-Sponsor in same HouseHold: I-864A and all Tax information as above
- Co-Sponser NOT in same HouseHold: I-864 and all Tax information as above
- The petitioner must ALWAYS submit an I-864....even if there's zero income.

Are all the above mandatory?
If yes, we cannot provide
- Pay stubs for current year (6 months should do)
- Employment letter showing your income and position.
- Co-Sponsor in same HouseHold: I-864A and all Tax information as above
- Co-Sponser NOT in same HouseHold: I-864 and all Tax information as above.
She doesn't work anymore, that's the reason because we do not have the requested documentation.

What can we do?
