Yes, from what I've seen here, after they process your RFE, assuming all is correct, you will be seeing an approval very very soon! dancin5hr.gif

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresIs there a better time to send in I-130?

Hmmm, lol,  seems to me since the wait long is long enough, the sooner the better...Regardless...

We just got transferred from the NBC to Nebraska last week. It's been almost 8 months since our NOA1, hopefully this will all be over soon!

United KingdomWhen to make travel plans

We finally got our interview date! And a lot faster than we expected, considering how awful and drawn out the rest of this process has been. My husband will be interviewing in London on June 24th. We've been living apart now for almost two years now so of course we are anxious to be back together as soon as possible.

I live in Hawaii, so the plane ticket is going to be painfully expensive no matter when we book it but I feel like the longer we wait the worse it's going to be.

So my question is how long did it take for you fellow UKers to get your visa after the interview (assuming all went well)? What day do you think we could book his flight over for? Obviously I'm going to pay for cancellation insurance just in case something terrible happens.

Thanks!

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresPrepping for NVC help

Ive been waiting since Jan. 2013 for my I130 and its seems that the approvals had been all over the place! Meaning that, others has filed after me and are getting approved. I wish us all the best of luck but I wish there could be some consistency in this thing because some people are still waiting to be approved since last year! As far a your co sponsor Im not sure so I want elaborate on that question.

Yeah, there really isn't any consistency! I know two months would be a pretty fast acceptance if it happens, but I'd rather be as prepared as possible. Good luck to you too!

for a two person household

total assets for someone who is not working is just under 60 thousand

total annual earnings necessary just under 20 thousand

your father's money can only be combined with yours if you live at the same address, otherwise one of you will have to qualify individually

Oh really? I am a resident of Hawaii (which I know has a higher required income) and my Dad is in Missouri. When filing the forms would I be filing it saying I have a household of 2 (anticipating my husband) or is it just one? My Dad can still be a joint sponsor right? He just has to file a separate I-864 right? Thanks for your help!

So we are still in the holding pattern with the NBC waiting to hear about our I-130 decision. Monday is the two month mark for waiting, and from the look of Igor's list, we could hear any day now (or next December, I guess you never really know until it happens). I'm trying to get everything ready to go so we can get through the NVC process as smoothly and quickly as possible.

Some background:

I am a graduate student and a part time employee of the federal government. I don't know what the cut off is, but I'm sure my wages don't cross whatever the threshold is to look like I'm able to support my husband.

So I'm sure I'll need a co-sponsor. Natural choice would be my father (my mother is deceased). However, he is retired and is living off his savings/pension/social security, which is also not a huge amount.

So what do I do? Will my father and I be adequate proof that my husband won't become a burden to the state? That's what makes this so frustrating, my husband will definitely be the main wage earner until I graduate. He's had several good offers here in the past, he just can't accept them until this is over!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresRFE, Divorce Decree from Japan

Yes, I did submit another document with the initial packet.  The document is called "Koseki Tohon" in Japanese.  In English, I think it's called Family Register.  I even attached a document called "Joseki Tohon", a certificate to prove my removal from my ex's family register.  But we got an RFE.  So I submitted a copy of Certificate of Acceptance as a response to the RFE, with a letter from my lawyer to explain it is an official document to prove divorce in Japan.  Soon after we got NOA2.

I'm not a lawyer so I'm not sure if the document would satisfy your case, but that's what I submitted.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresRFE, Divorce Decree from Japan

Hi, I'm a Japanese citizen (beneficiary) and we got an RFE for "the complete and final divorce decree" for my previous marriage.  I submitted the same document as a reply to the RFE.  I don't know what other documents your fiancee is required in Philippines, but that's the document I submitted (different prefecture, though).  I hope this helps :)
