I specifically asked if our case was assigned.  Its almost like if you don't ask specific questions, you get the generic form letter.  I'm so happy I didn't get the " processing times are 6 months from the date of this notice"  I think I would have just died

I wonder how long its been assigned?  Recently or a month ago?  Give me an inch, I want the whole YARD.  I wanna know every detail.

I just told my husband and he still thinks he'll be here in 5 years.  LOL

Yeh, I guess I will shoot off another email to ask the specific questions.  The last touch of mine was 3 DEC.  Is that what yours says when logging in ti the USCIS acct site?  Maybe that's what they conside assigned. lol   Also I just called to hear the good old recording, which stated I'm going through the standard processing, blah...blah, blah...  and of course the blurb at the end that says please don't request further information until 180 days after the transfer.  ugh!!!

Thanks !!

I hope we get approved the same day ! That would be cool

I was all happy .  then the doubt popped in my head...

How many files do you think each person gest assigned?  Do they assign a batch of files to each person , like a batch of 200? or do they assign a box of 50 at a time to each person?    I could be the last file at the bottom of the batch or I could be the next in line....

You'd think I could just be happy with knowing we are assigned to an agent....  I have to analyze every detail....

I'm still waiting to hear from my congresswomens rep.  So no clue if I have been assigned or not.  Looking at Igors list, seems they skipped us along with the 17th somewhere.  so our particular adjudicator probably took vacation for the holidays! To spend some nice relaxing time with their loved ones.  Isn't that sweet  (or ironic)? lol

YAY ! I just received a response from the Senators office JUST NOW. I sent her a message last night when I was feeling so sad and depressed.

Jennifer,

I did get an update on your pending I-130.  It was transferred to the Texas Service Center.  The TSC provided the following update to our office:

This I130 has been assigned to an officer.  A decision or some type of action will be made within the next 30 business days.

Thank you,

Rachel

Prayers and wishes with you Tico's lady!  And to myself.....I have the same NOA1, Tranfer date, and place of transfer as you.....My congresswomans representative name is even the same (Rachael). lol  That's gotta be a good omen!!!

I think the transfers messed all that up... it depends on the transfer date. I doubt very much someone took the time to file them all by receipt date.

The vision in my head  is that they are all in boxes by transfer date. Shirley Adjudicator walks into a huge file/storage room and grabs whatever box is closest because her ankles are swollen and she is due for a coffee break in 5 minutes.    Then the holiday party, then Lunch, then BSing with the co-workers... Then a mandatory meeting for everyone and then another 15 minute break and then  MAYBE, JUST MAYBE she will adjudicate 3 or 4 files before she goes home at 4 on the nose. Not one minute after.    Add in several  bathroom breaks... and conversations here and there by passerbys....

We're all screwed.

And when they come back from Holiday vacation... the countless conversations about what they got for Christmas ...

It was only wishful thinking.  Although watching the government folks around me, not much been getting done for a week already.

love my tico,

iam at NSC

8 months today  crying.gif crying.gif crying.gif crying.gif

8 months 7 days here!  same as Tico's Lady!  and at Texas.  I just sent a copy of the letter circulating to my congresswoman, along with some other information about my case, but speaking of all of us involved.

I doubt I will see anything until after the New Year from them, but I always put in the sob-story things, (which are true) about being separated during the holidays, costs for flights, and using vacations, among other things.

Incredible!!!  I just called the automated number to USCIS, just to see what my case status was showng, since I have not called for awhile.  So it tells me the standard "it's been transferred, and going through normal processing", then the recording goes on to say "please allow 180 days from transfer date for any inquiries".  There needs to be a whole revamp of the USCIS!!!!I guess another thing to bug my congresswoman about....as if it will help!!!

The plan is to get my approval today and then win the Mega Millions jackpot later tonight.   HEE HEE

Nice!!!!  So my wife arrived last Friday from Germany, POE Seattle, to visit for a month.  Thank goodness she has that much time built up for her vacation time.  She had no issues what-so-ever with the border immigration folks.  In fact they joked around a bit about how many people he has to talk to in a day.  She told him he needs to drink alot of water.  He said sometimes he is sick of hearing his own voice.  At least my wife is here for Christmas, I really hope we get the approval this week!!!  It is getting quite expensive trying to fly each way every few months.  let alone, using up all my vacation hours.....

I just sent this fax to TSC....

All I want for
Christmas is
my I-130 APPROVAL!!

There are many of us that were transferred from the National Benefits Center to your office in November. We are all suffering extended processing times. Please grant us all a Christmas wish and process as many of the transferred files as quickly as possible. As you spend the holidays with your families, please remember that we have been apart from ours for almost a year and some even longer. The California Service Center is approving at a great pace. As a Texan, I know that we can?t let ourselves be outdone by them! Thank you for your efforts to make this holiday miracle happen for us! Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas!

It had some holiday graphics...I didn't put my name on it...not sure how it would be received. Hopefully, it helps kick start them into action!

I also got the 3rd e-mail and the hard-copy notice of transfer today.  Our case is now at the California Service Center - it looks like they've been moving relatively quickly, so I'm hoping we'll hear an approval before Christmas.

And husband and I get to see each other in person in 2 weeks - maybe we'll get the NOA2 while we're actually together.  Wouldn't that be lovely?

Ours being at the Texas center, andf they are getting a  huge ice storm as I type.  250,000 people out of power.  The center is located at Mesquite, Texas, east of Dallas which is getting the brunt of the storm.  I'm afraid it will be another delay until next week.  :(

Just found out i was transferred to Texas Service Center . I was hoping for California. Dang it !! Oh well, just thankful my file isn't lost

How did you find out it was transferred to Texas??? I have the below listed emails (four to be exact), but none state where the paperwork is:

1.  Arrived 27 Nov.   ...On November 27, 2013, we transferred this case I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN to another office for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action. ...

2. Arrived 29 Nov.   ...On November 29, 2013, we transferred your I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN, to  your local USCIS Office for further processing.  The new office has jurisdiction over your case and will send you a decision as soon as processing is complete or you will be notified if further information or action is needed. ...

3.  Arrived 2 Dec. ...On November 27, 2013, we transferred this case I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN to another office for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action.  ....

4.  Arrived 3 Dec.(a few hours ago)...The I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office.

Kind of funny.  maybe they just pass it around in circles for awhile.  So when somebody enters a key into their computer, it flags a messege.  Hopefully the last one means it is now on a DESK!!! with a REAL PERSON!!!!

Hope your enjoying your time!!!

Just received the third transfer email at 10am EST. I HOPE THIS MOVES ALONG . I won't get the hard copy until I'm home. I'm hoping for CSC. From what I read, they seem the fastest. But, knowing my luck, my file will get there and the processing will come to a screaming halt.

Received all three emails as well.  My PD is April 12th like LoveMyTico, transfer dates are exactly the same as TICO's girl.

I'm waiting on a call-back from a tier 2 just so I can clarify what the status change this morning is all about. Maybe my case is assigned to someone.  My lawyer said they are probably working on my case

Unfortunately the nature of my work does not allow for a call that can take along time to get through, and by the end of my day (hawaii time)  everythings closed in the mainland. I am still waiting word from my congresswomans rep, as she called my two weeks ago so I could give her the total scoop on all of us, and even gave her a copy of the letter we all sent out.  (I gave it a few days before the official was sent).  She said she would be back with me the next week, but....nothing!  I'm taking tomorrow and Friday off to have a long weekend.  At least my sister is here, and makes time fly before my wife "attempts" her Christmas visit.

Ok, so I just checked cases between MSC*******694 andMSC*******770 (my case is MSC*******724).

From MSC*******694 to MSC*******712 they're all I90 cases  (don't even know what that is lol).

After that only 1 case has been approved and only 1 case has been transferred. All they other cases are still on initial review, no transfer, no nothing.

Just sharing... I'm beyond tired of waiting, but somehow VJ helps me relax.

April 12th PD.  still initial review, no rhyme or reason!  This week folks...this week!!!!

Do you have a link to that order? My husband is supposed to visit me in December, and I have been really nervous about proving that he's going to return to his country. Each time I fly back, I ask the immigration officer about what we need to do to prove this. Each time they say that we just need to be convincing enough and recommend having a copy of the paperwork showing that we have already filed to follow the legal process. He's not working or going to school right now because we thought that we would be nearing the end by this point in the year.

That order actually makes me more nervous that they will think he is a potential overstay. (Even though he has NEVER overstayed on any of his visits.)

http://www.military....?ESRC=army-a.nl    You can also google it and read the artical from several newspaper sources.  Quite interesting.

I-601... (SIGH)

Ohh, I'm not in that boat.  I wish the best for you.  Perhaps those cases along with special circumstances stay at the MSC center.  The only thing out of the norm for me is that my ex-wife was from another country.  But she gained her citizitionship several years ago, and has been married for 10 years to another guy.  So perhaps they have to investigate if I had her fraudulantly. lol  Who knows, but it is fun seeing everybody come up with hypotheses.  Especially now that there is a sort of movement!

Well  I do think we are in the same dusty box.      Keep me posted and I'll do the same    I have this gut feeling I won't be transferred.

I contact my Senator's office on a monthly basis and they are sick of me.  They don't even want to inquire for me anymore... Which is #######.. That is their job...  I asked the mayor of my town who is the next step up from the RUDE Senator advocates and she gave me  the number for the White House... no lie...  just last night.   LOL

I hope we get approved soon.

I still have a long road after the interview.

Do you think the transfers are interfering with the other forms that are processed at TSC and NSC?  I hope they aren't dropping one form to process the others.  When we file our waiver, I don't want them to tell me there is a backlog due to transfers from the NBC...  ya know? We already waited sooo long. Its just a shame that this part of the journey ended up being so long.  If we already had our interview and were just waiting on the waiver, I'd feel much better but we didn't even get to the NVC yet.... (SIGH)

What waiver are you referring to?   What I am afraid of is there will end up being a backlog at the NVC.   Now...if they (USCIS) are playing this the way it should be, they would be approving forms, not telling the person until it came up in the que. so they cud basically look like they are approved in order, minus some RFE and expedite cases.  ;-)

Heh Tico's lady!  I am the same PD as you, April 12, and have not been transferred.  Either we are in a box together,  Or we are not being transferred and will be approved soon as well.  I did write to my congresswoman and her rep called asking for more information a few weeks back.  I told her our situation, what we are seeing on these forums, and even sent a copy of the letter that was being sent out to the President on down.  My congresswoman here in Hawaii is on one of the chairs for homeland security.  I really believe all of our voices are finally starting to be heard.  President Obama just put out (a few days back) an order that allows the wives kids and spouses of military members, vets and retirees who have in fact  overstayed their visas,  will NOT be deported but allowed to stay in country until they are adjudicated.  My wife is visiting me in the US from mid December thru mid January, hopefully that will have more of an influence as to the immigration officer letting her into the country.  Regardless,  I have a goofd feeling that You and I will have approvals in the very near future. dancin5hr.gif

I also sent the copy of the letter that is being sent to the justice department in the near future.  Just to let the congress folks know what all of us are going through.

My wife will be visiting mid december thru Mid january, so hopefully the POE dude won't have a bad day and send her back.  Incidently I also mentioned this possibility to my congresswoman. idea9dv.gif

I would say yes. Too many i30 approved will create backlog at NVC.
We should see approvals once the new facilitie opens up in Kansas in 26 days. So in October
We should see approvals. But this is wait is reiducilas.

yep, so with NBC giving many approvals, then backlog at the National Visa Center...I guess that means we'll be right in the same boat when NVC gets the approved I-130.  Another 4-8 month wait!!! Incredible.  Of course by then the "undocumented" already illegally in the country will probably be allowed to process, so.....Need I say more?

We need to find a National News Network to check out what's happening.  FOX perhaps?
