Middle East and North Africa	went to Embassy	Hi everyone, My wife and I went to the embassy today during a walk in clinic. We were lucky enough to have a nice consul lady who at least listened to us. She said that my name came back as a "hit" on ICE that I was deported for drugs. She said that if it was a small amount of drugs we could file a waiver. We said yes but this isn't true I was never arrested or charged or deported or even told that I was being deported for drugs. She said well if you want to expunge your record you will have to hire an attorney. So either route for us is going to be a long one. I can't believe it. She also said that it could have been a clerical error that they hit the wrong thing on the drop down menu and that she would look into it as much as she could and try to find out. Middle East and North Africa	truth is here	Hi Guys, Its been a long time but i was waiting for the embassy and here it is.... USCIS files show nothing about me being deported for drugs just like i told them iam so happy finally that the truth is here so now the embassy will remove the hit from their system and they have requested ICE to do the same so now we are just waiting again once they do all this they will process the visa. My case was reaffirmed on 2-2-2010 by the USCIS and they sent me a letter stating that and they said that i should contact the DOS if i called the DOS 3 dayes ago and they said that my case still pending under AP i asked them if they got anything from the USCIS they said no i told them that the uscis reaffirmed it but they said they didnt get anything yet so what should i do please????? I dont want anyone here on visa j to lose hope, even if you think that its over for you and you wont get it. just get up on your feet and have faith. we had times that my wife and I lost hope but cause we love each other we knew that one day we will get it.my case was on hold cause of a mistake clerical mistake (Names) so I paid the price for nothing 4 years out of our life for nothing but you know what we still have a whole life ahead of us to enjoy with our 5 year old son so be good be strong thanks visa j family and special thanks and a good luck to (((((Illnevergetit)))) and i hope you will get it soon thanks for the support all along my journey. Middle East and North Africa	life in the usa	Its hard to start.... for me I am Jordanian and my wife is american we have moved from Jordan to America 6 months ago it was hard for me cause my wife is from Idaho American falls, it is a small town but when I came after one month I applied for a job and i got it as an assistant manager so it kept me busy..... IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	reaffirmed approval after return to uscis	Hi, How are you i hope things work out with you is there any update on your case cause iam going through the same herre i dont know how long after the reaffirming approval the embss will contact me Hi Indianheart, Mine and my fiance's case was re-affirmed as well this past June, and our new interview date is on Oct. 29th. Search high and low and you'll barely find a thing about this re-affirmation process. It's very frustrating, I know. The only thing I can tell you about 'time frame' is that the re-affirmed petitions are treated like the first time around, so just look at the timelines and you'll get a pretty good idea. Mine though in particular took a month longer to get to 'this point' we're at now compared to last year. I don't know if this has to do with the embassy being bogged down, or if that it's a re-affirmed case. If your case is like that our ours, I can tell you too that they will assign you a new case number to replace the original. You may not find this out though until you get the first email about your case from the embassy. Though my letter from the NVC gave the original, the Embassy kept replying to my emails with a new one. After my two or three emails to them asking them to explain this new number, they replied that once a case has been sent back to USCIS, they cannot use the same case number even if they wanted to and thus the reason for new one. No more explanation was given other than this. There's one other member I've found here at VJ who's going through the same thing we are. She and her fiance already had their second interview this past Sept. and were again placed on AP. They're now waiting for them (the embassy) to complete some name check or something. As far as I know, they weren't asked to submit any more doc's. I know it's frustrating with all this waitng and waiting, you're not alone, but know too that it's also a positive outcome on your case and gives hope again with the re-affirmation. Since my fiance is Filipina they said they will allow her to stay in the hotel with me and rent a double for 28 JD. They have internet, breakfast, and a shuttle(costs extra) to and from the airport. They just told us we both will need our passports and she will need her residence visa. Which she can only get the visa since her passport is at the hospital. They said that is fine just bring the visa. you always got choices you can rent an apartment with fernture for both of you guys it's nice and may be cheaper and you can rent it daily or weekly over here if you want to go to a hotel with a woman she should to be only ur wife mother or sister and you have to have approve to let you stay in the same room	mark75	Male	Jordan	2011-03-05 22:46:00
