Dear vj family, Hello to you all and when i ever need help people i always find answers from you all so please if you have answer for my question help please, I have been waiting under section(AP) for allmost a year i keep sending emails to the EMB here in Amman jordan to see if there is anything they keep saying that my case still pending The case is still under administrative process. they will notify me of any update. and sometimes i ask them if there is any required dc needed they say (the file is still pending review, once completed you will be notified of needed documents if any is required). Middle East and North Africa	DOS phone number	Hi, I'v seen posts where people have said they have called DOS. Can anyone tell me where I would find the number for DOS? When you say DOS do you mean the embassy? Because our embassy refuses to give any information over the phone. So I'm just confused where to go for more info. Currently, our case was reaffirmed by USCIS on 02/02/10 and sent back to the embassy. So any ideas who I should be calling to check on where it is? Or to find out any additional information? My case was reaffirmed on 2-2-2010 by the USCIS and they sent me a letter stating that and they said that i should contact the DOS I called the DOS 3 dayes ago and they said that my case still pending under AP i asked them if they got anything from the USCIS they said no i told them that the uscis reaffirmed it but they said they didnt get anything yet so what should i do please????? Middle East and North Africa	I cant believe it	Hi vj, I cant beleive it people,the embassy here in jordan is Accusing me of something Ihave never did and i would never ever do after all the waiting and reaffirmed my case the embassy here in jordan sent me a shocing letter without even an interview that i cant have my visa cause when i was deported under section 241a b 1 controlled suvstance this is not true it is the same thing when i interviewed in 2008 the CO told me the same thing and i told here no i wasnt deported cause of that and she made me wait 3 hours to check on me through home land security and then she called me back saying that they are sorry they made a mistake with my name but they have to send it back to washington for a name check. they are dirtying my name i had nothing to do with drugs or anything and if its true why the USCIS reaffirmed my case and why the DOS and NVC sent it back again to jordan to issue a visa i called the DOS and they said they dont know anything about it she just said that the american embassy in jordan dont want to issue a visa iam going today with my wife to the american embassy and see whats going on, iam lost here and iam tired and i feel sad i dont know what do. do you have any ideas people please if you do please let me know. Middle East and North Africa	updates	So I got a phone call from that nice lady ( CO)at the embassy she told us that when she took my finger prints they came out nothing i have nothing even the FBI came out ZZZeroooooooo so basically we are ok but she said that the mistake is from 1997 That ICE made and she rquested those deportion papers cause she said that she didnt find on the system any thing it says the ammount of drugs that they are accusing me of being deported for it so she began to think that we are making sense and she allso said that its gonna be a long time until things get fixed she said that we need to fight and we might need a lawyer and she will help as much as she can i dont know why the system in america like this each dep work on their own and they dont report to each other iam so mad and now its gonna cost us more money to hire a lawyer and i know that we cant afford it right now.	samer	Male	Jordan	2010-04-14 12:00:00

Middle East and North Africa	went to Embassy	Hi Lisa, Yes, I was deported in 1997 for overstaying a visitor visa. I was never, ever ever arrested and charged with ANY crime while I was in US. Also, when I was deported for overstaying the visa, no one ever said anything about having a drug charge or being barred to enter for life or anything like that. I was given a paper that said I could re enter in 10 years but I was so upset at that time, I ripped it up. Sure wish I had that paper now. That's why I was so shocked with this outcome. I have never even seen an illegal drug so this accusation is so outrageous and dirties my name. Thank you so much for the link. My wife will contact the senator office on Monday and we will start to file the FOIA form with USCIS. I hope we can get what we need without trying to find a lawyer.
