Hello Aisha The date that is given for the adjucation is just an estimate that VJ does with all the input that people put in their timeline. I know it is hard to wait but you will get your NOA2 soon!! Yes, they usually push the I-129f through with the I-130 approval so that way they will both leave the USCIS at the same time. It will be up to you whether you want to persue the K3 or not. I heard somewhere on here that they are doing away with the K3 visa since the CR1 has picked up in the timing. It's a better route to go anyways!! K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	is it true k3 visa is gone now?	His friend is full of doesn't know what he's talkig about. You guiys can get a CR-1 and if married more than 2 years you'll get a IR-1 . Both take the same time. Most are taking from 8 to 12 months now. Depends on how fast and how you submit the paperwork at NVC. Use Ling Che's NVC shortcuts. s yes but thats the 8 month thing when u start at the begining , not when u get to nvc cause with the short cuts u do ti much faster now, and thats what i told my husband ,, god help my husband, but this guy keeps telling him years and its just crazy!	aishahossam	Female	Egypt	2010-02-19 09:51:00
K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	is it true k3 visa is gone now?	The K3 has to adjust status which cost $1010 + $131 visas application fee. Have to go thru the cost and hassles of getting a I-693 also. K3 normally has to do biometrics and have a AOS interview. Time off from work cost the petitioner. PLUS the hassles of submitting the paperwork and going for the interview. Tain’t fun.. Especially if denied or questioned. Ever done a Stokes interview? That’s the second interview if they are in doubt of your relationship. Also a possibility of being deported. Yeah doesn’t happen much but it happens. K3 has to wait about 90 days after they file to get EAD or GC so they can get SSN and be able to work. CR-1 can work as soon as they get the GC and SS card in the mail. Normally with 6 weeks.
