IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresDS 230 question #2

Do you go by any other name(s) or have you changed your name before?

If yes, put other name down.

If you are female and you changed your name after marriage then you need to fill this one out with your old name. (Edited to add: Just looked at your timeline, guess this does not apply to you.)

If neither of the above is true, put none.

I guess it is none then because i have never changed my name & im a male :)

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresCivil documents to NVC already sent..then what do I bring to the interview at consulate?

Hi Everyone,

So what happens after one sends the civil documents to the NVC?

For example if I have already sent everything (all originals, translations etc. EVERYTHING an this is for my husband) to NVC is that what they sent to the consulate?

I'm confused because when I look at people's lists on here on what to bring to the consulate they all list all the civil documents again...so if the consulate already has them why would I bring them again?

Is it just in case the consulate lost them??

Anyone?

Thank you

In the interview letter says the documents you must bring with you to the consulate, for example i only have to bring the (police certificate), also you have to bring the copies all the documents you submitted to the nvc.

i hope this help.
