We complied to all the requirements, we should be fine but long wait is killing us..  so anxious....   Rgds, D     Our situation is similar, we needed to drop off additional documents, as we did... We were told twice that the case was completed  and they took passport and no visa.  Still waiting as more work needs to be done on their side.  We have been put on AP for 10 months now, and still waiting, and the after turning in the paperwork it's been 8 months of waiting.  All we can do is set back and wait. US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	Received appointment letter with the interview date and packet-4, but no packet-3	Thank you! You should be getting the combined packets 3/4 any day, which will include an appointment letter with her interview date. What I did was I went to Almaty 2 weeks before my interview date, had my medical and went back home. I called the clinic a week later to find out if the results were ok. I went back to Almaty the day before the interview to picked up my medical results. The visa should be ready the next day after the interview at 16.00. However, when I went to pick it up, they told me to come back in the morning since my visa wasn't ready yet. US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	Received appointment letter with the interview date and packet-4, but no packet-3	Hi everyone! I haven’t received packet-3 by mail, but my fiancée (petitioner) received an email from the US Embassy in Kazakhstan - Appointment letter with my interview date and packet-4 with: 1. Interview instructions 2. Medical examination instructions 3. Checklist 4. DS230 5. I-134 6. DS-156K 7. Instructions to fill out DS-156 There is no instruction to send anything back by mail. As far as I understood, I just need to gather my paperwork, fill out the forms, get my medical done and go to the interview with all my paperwork. Does it sound weird that we skipped the whole packet-3 process and jumped straight to packet-4? I'm assuming they combined Packet 3 and 4. Has anyone had a similar situation? Caribbean	Fees	I hope im not asking a question that has been answered a million times before!! I did look and couldn't find exactly what i needed.       I have found several conflicting info on how and where to pay fees for visa DHL and application fee. Is the DHL and app fee seperate?  Does my fiance have to go to bank to pay visa fee or is it done on day of interview. Finally is it allowed for me to pay for these fees here and just make sure he has copies of recepts to take to interview? Any step by step instructions would be fantastic!!!   I would really appreciate all responses. This process seems like it is never ending and i feel like im really messing things up so close to the end. We haven't gotten our packet and i feel lost. No one from the embassy is returning our emails. Im so scared and worried that they are just going to keep ignoring us. Again thank you for all your replys. Caribbean	Jamaican Embassy... please help	OK so me and my fiance have been working on getting the paperwork and our interview at the Jamaican Embassy since end of June. So far we have not recieved a single piece of mail and have compleatly given up on ever getting it. We went ahead and filled out the DS-230 and sent them a signed copy via email over two weeks ago and then requested an interview date and the compleat packet to be emailed to me. So Far no reply and its been the stated 5 days.  We are feeling very stressed out and panicked. What else can we do? Has anyone else had issues like these?  Any ideas what kind of steps we should make to get thier attention. They seem to be compleatly ignoring all our emails. Has anyone gone to the embassy themselves to pick up the packet and request  an interview date? We are willing to do anything. This process has been going on since November 12 for us. We have an appointment to get packet 3, since to this day, after multiple requests they are just now acknowledging that we haven't recieved it. We sent a request a month ago for him to come get this packet and they never replied. So we have been going on everyones help here on VJ and filling out the forms and things that we know they need. Caribbean	Appointment to pick up Packet 3	Ok so me and my fiance have been going thru this whole process since nov 2012. The Embassy at Kingston got our K1 packet june 12. We have sent several emails and phone calls to DOS we finally got an email response that stated my fiance needed to make an appointment to pick up packet 3. DOS said they sent original packet june 19. We have been emailing them since June 25. We have already sent them the DS-230 and requested the paperwork via email.  We did as the email requested and he has an appointment ont 19th next monday to pick up packet 3. Has anyone else every had to go to the embassy to pick up the packet? I feel like they are trying to make our lives as difficult as possible. I am beyond frustrated and have been crying far to long. Caribbean	Medical in Jamaica	Ok so my fiance was a little stubborn and would not make his medical appointment untill he had the interview letter in his hands. Now that he got it and made an appointment its really close to the interview. Medical scheduled for Sept 18 with an appointment on Sept 23 to pick up. His interview is scheduled for the 24th. Does anyone have experience on how long it really takes to get the medical done? If they say the packet will be ready on the 23rd do you think it will be? I dont remember which one he made the appointment with its one of the ones in Kingston.  Im so stressed that we will be missing something or something will slow this process down. Caribbean	Still no packet 3 & 4 as of yet. Nothing from the jamaican embassy :(	I understand your frustration. Our packet was received at the embassy on June 29th and i took us untill Sept 24th to get an interview. It was partly our fault because we kept waiting to get the packet 3 in the mail or some kind of notification. Dont sit and wait. Ask the embassy to email you the packets. Caribbean	Email	We are do close to the end, but we seem to keep hitting bumps along the way. Our interview was 9/24 and we were approved!!      However, this weekend my fiance was locked out of his email account. He has tried everything but can not access it, and has now had to start a new account. My question is when his visa is ready for pick up will they call and let him know, or do we somehow need to let the embassy know his email address has changed. If we need to change the address with the embassy how do we go about doing that?  I'm hoping everything will be good, but I'm a bit of a worrier. Thanks everyone!! Much love!! Caribbean	Scheduling medical in Jamaica	Have you already recieved your interview date and letter? If so you are the one to schedule the appointment not embassy. If not then you need to have an interview date before they will allow you to schedule the medical. U do not need to wait for the letter, u just need to make sure your fiance has it in hand for the actual medical. Don't wait to long before the interview it takes atleast a week to get results back! Caribbean	K-1 Visa Embassy Appointment Dominican Republic	thanks for the replies! I am a little worried about not having enough time together/ not enough visits to convince those guys down in DR. I have a couple of red flags. First, i have only been there ONCE, and second, our relationship is very new. What i guess we do have going for us is the fact that we are both the same age. Also, i just booked a flight to go down there in january which i am sure will help at the DR interview. That is of course if the first trip evidence is enough to get me through the USCIS and NVC. I just sent my I-129F packet to USCIS yesterday and i am so glad to have that out of my hands for at least a little while. Fiancee lives in DR, i am a US citizen. By the way, thank you everyone who has posted their stories here on this site, and for the forms and examples here - all VERY helpful!   I know it is a long wait before she will be asked in for an interview in Santo Domingo. However, when the time comes, will I (the petitioner) be REQUIRED to go to the appointment with her? No updates except for the "alien registration number has been changed" update. I agree this is very frustrating to have to wait - and to wonder why it isn't first come first serve - or seem to have any rhyme or reason whatsoever.    I understand Philippines, but there are others getting approved and now i am beyond the VJ projected waiting period... Should have had NOA2 by Feb 9th from what that says. That said, people ARE getting approved because the average time isn't getting pushed out. Sorry, you picked the wrong country! What's the holdup!? in the last 100 NOA2's (regardless of service center) there has never been a gap of over a month until now. Caribbean	Why does I-797 (NOA2) say "forwarded to consulate"	In 2 weeks you can call nvc to know your case number. About your expiration date , dont worry your interview can be after that without problem. My expiration date was february and I had my interview on march, so the expiration date doesnt matter. Once you know your case number you can check your status on ceac check visa status and know if your papers arrive to the consulate.   Thank you that clears that up! My case says "Ready" on CEAC but i am currently waiting on the cita date. I called today but was too early. i will give it at least another week and call again. NVC does not really touch it at all. COngrats again   Thank you. And another question related to the NOA2 paper: the expiration date is in October, does this insure that my interview will be before that or will i have to re-apply after the expiration date if, say, my appointment falls after that date?
