K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresAn interesting "why" question...

We all talk about this a lot but has anyone done any research or even written the service centers or their congressman/woman about this? I would like to know the reson behind why there are people on the east sending their petitions out here to cali. slowing down our process when we could all be getting our NOA2s in just over a month if everything was evened out ya know?? Its all out of whack and someone needs to get their ###### together. I think I'll write a letter for us and find out what the damn deal is. This seems to be the longest waiting process for some of us and relationships suffer for it just because they cant get it right. After all....WE ARE PAYING FOR THIS.

Where are you planning to write to? To the USCIS in Cali? I think it's a great idea, and would like to do the same, I would think if more people wrote letter's maybe it could do something...OBVIOUSLY calling them won't tell us anything, since those people only know what they have written in front of them for the most part...I'd also like to know why people on the east have to send their petitions to Cali! They really do need to get their ##### together!

Yes I wrote a letter to the UCSIC in Cali. asking if they were planning on hiring before or after the proposed fee increase and why the heck all the petitions are shipped to Cali. instead of dispursed evenly between Cali. and Vermont. I also asked if at anytime they foresee Vermont forwarding petitions to Cali. as well. I also wondered why these petitions are forwarded instead of just the Cali. address given on the instruction forms. Its fricken ridiculous and makes no sense and I want some kind of answer.

HI PPL, well, i to am a vermont feb filer, but still no noa2 for us yet!!!!!!!! we can only but wonder the hows and wherefors to the reason some of us get our noa2 quicker than the rest. I am really worried that this might be a rfe in the making but bryan says im worring for nothing LIFES A ###### AND ITS PROBABLY ONE WHO IS DEALING WITH MY FILE LOL!!!!!!! :crying: :crying:

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresHELP AGAIN

  :innocent: HELLO AGAIN its the mad scottish wummin lol just been reading the nvc site
can you tell me what is an agent of choice???????? when they send you packet 3 do i need one ???????an agent that is!!!!!

:help: :help:

Strictly speaking, the Agent of Choice is a person here in the US, that will receive information regarding a pending petiton....have the "power of attorney" so to speak to mail in form/fees/ and documentation. The agent of choice is designated at some point in the petition process, and then tha person takes over....and is notified w/ any progress on the petiton in question.

But if your petition is a K1, you don't have to worry about this. For the K-1 visa you do not have the "agent of choice" option.

Thank you for your quick response to my question guys    aggyxxx

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresOut of the Blue.....

Well I guess this is a goodbye from me to all of you.

On Tuesday my fiancee sent me an email with a letter attachment telling me she can't marry me because she no longer loves me.

We have been together for almost two years, been through so much ####### together and just when everything was starting to fall into place she does this completely out of the blue.

Everything I have done in my life for the last 14 months has been geared towards finally being with her and now she has flipped my world upside down and left me nothing but a shell of a man with no idea what to do next.

I firmly believe that everything in life happens for a reason, i think this reason is going to take me a life time to understand

To everyone who has helped me on this forum, I thank you. To everyone on the journey I was on, good luck....

Andrew (Formally Myrna's Man)

I AM SORRY BUT UR RIGHT EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON TAKE CARE AND GOOD LUCK

United KingdomMarriage certificate

It's pretty obvious if you have a divorce decree that you were originally married.

You'd think. But, there are still some Consulates that require the previous marriage certificate + the divorce decree from that marriage.

HI GUYS i called london embassy this morning asking if i needed previous marriage certificate. HE SAID YES!!!!! seems a bit daft to me if you have divorce papers to prove its done and dusted . seems like more paper work for nothing not to mention cost of getting a replacement like i have to get doh!!!! HAPPHY EASTER

I have no idea why it gets sent that way. The mind boggles :)

I got an e-mail from the NVC saying it was sent on the 15th, and then 2 actual letters, one saying the 16th and then another saying the 17th!

The first tracking number that fitted my criteria (London) was on the 18th... I got the 'packet 3' 10 days after that was delivered :)

Congratulations!!!   I've been wanting to post that all day but I've been stuck in a conference... Yay!!!

Just out of curiosity...who was the person who was denied...?

Thanks again for all the comments :)

I read somewhere in the archive about a couple, the lady was the USC and her partner had I think had accepted a caution for having a small amount of marijuana in his pocket while going abroad....I think that was the gist of the story!!

Oh yes, I do vaguely remember that. We're just starting to get paranoid in the run-up to the interview (starting? hah! more like continuing!).

United KingdomI NEED HELP

DOS/USCIS don't care about traffic violations. I take it you weren't arrested for this? If you just got a fine and points on your license its a non issue.

no was,nt arrested iwent to police and told them my situation. the officer said he would have to charge me with the offence. only got a fine and points on my licence nearly died when i read THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS HELD IN THE FOLLOWING CATAGORY...SCOTTISH CRIMINAL RECORDS OFFICE COMPUTER

IT FREAKED ME OUT I CAN TELL YOU :crying: :crying:

United KingdomI NEED HELP

I think you're panicking for nothing. It's a motoring offense, not really a serious one at that, and I don't think not having insurance is even an arrestable offense here or there.

I do not see that this is a CIMT and I think you're making a mountain out of a molehill. Read this for clarification:

http://foia.state.go...m/0940021aN.pdf

HI AND THANKS.... HAD A LOOK AT THAT SITE BUT WILL STILL BE PANICKING OVER THIS thats just me........ i,m paying the price for my procrastination    will worry till my interview and then i,ll find something else to worry about

I thought that minor traffic violations weren't taken into account. Do you mind saying what the violation was?

Might be time to call the Visa Extortion Line up in Scotland for clarification on this.

United KingdomGuess what? I'm getting a divorce.

My husband chose this morning to drop the bomb on me that he's been faking it these last couple of years and he's been lying to me about loving me.

So we're getting a divorce.

I will be coming to America on Sunday, but he won't be. The weird thing is...I'm not even really upset. I'm just angry about having wasted the last six years of my life on such a fcuking coward.

:o :o :o :o :o :o
now that is the last thing i expected you to say.

*shrug* What can I say. Now that he's shown his true colors, I can see what a loser he really is. I just feel like an idiot for marrying him in the first place.

OMG HA, so shocked by this news :crying: have been watching your journey like so many, now this GOOD LUCK TO YOU GIRL   GOOD RIDDANCE TO BAD RUBBISH i say,

United KingdomFYI

is it the Camel -- formerly known as Liquid Blue? I'm trying to google pubs on Duke Street and that's what I'm getting so far....

I can't vouch for Agnes, but I know it definitely wasn't the Camel -- been there a few times in the past. Liquid Blue? What an awful name! No wonder they changed it...not that the Camel is that great....

Hi morning   ok sorry i cant remember the name of the pub...my detective work is #######  but ... if you walk through park heading down duke st on the left hand side, you go past a big hotel.. well. just past that is the pub... first pub you come to has tables and chairs outside.. hope that helps oh and a couple of pubs down i saw ppl outside with wot appears to a liitle hash smoking goin on     they had wot looked like those" bong thingys" Told my son about this when i got home his reply was " u sure u werent in amsterdam" children eh.....

:    HELLO all you nice ppl,

well thats me home, got the overnight bus and arrived back in glasgow at 6.30 ........ still cant believe it i have my visa, well not in hand but hopefully soon.

just thought id share some stuff with you lot still going to london..... on oxford st there is a very fancy loo, its called WC1 just passed bond st underground. for £1 you can go in and freshen up, have a wash and use their smelly stuff. for£5 you can get a mini make over or a hand massage.... just the thing to ease the tension dont know if u guys can get in, but i dont see why not. give it a try, its great. A couple of doors down there is a place that does passport fotos, to the exact requirements for the US embassy. I forgot to take mine   and went in there very nice and it only took minutes Price £10. 95 for 2.

when i came out of embassy i came back down duke st, there is nice pub on the corner cant remember name   where i treated myself to lunch and a glass of wine   great club sandwich so give it a go.....

hope this is useful happy 4th july

United KingdomHELP ... AGAIN

I must apologise for my misleading answer to the OP.

Indeed the Scottish and English/Welsh legal systems are different but all the convictions from both are on the PNC.

When I saw the question I believed that to be the case but then couldn't recall ever seeing Scottish convictions on the PNC when I had done checks on it, so I decided to check and see. Unfortuantely I decided to e-mail an ex colleague and friend when he had had a rather too many drams and thought it would be quite funny to give me wrong information.

Again sorry if I have given anyone undue cause for concern.

Phew! I thought that didn't make sense -- glad you cleared that up so quickly, and I'm sure Agnes (RGNSCOT) is too!
