Canada	NVC IVR	Darryl - because you filed DCF, your case was never at the NVC, so it makes sense that they have no record of it. I guess you could try calling USCIS since I believe that's where DCF petitions were sent back to. Good luck! I called the NVC (603-334-0700) spoke with an operator - they said they had nothing on file for our case #....We have been assigned a case # months back MTLXXXXXXXX - is this normal that they wouldn't have any reference of our case #? When they approved my I-130, NVC SENT THE AGENT OF CHOICE FORM TO ME AND ALSO MY FIANCEE IN NIGERIA. SOMETIME LATE LAST MONTH MY WIFE CALLED ME ONE DAY THAT HER DAD RECEIVED SOME DOCUMENT FROM NATIONAL VISA CENTER, THAT ACCORDING TO HER DAD,THE FORMS SAYS "YOUR HUSBAND IS NOT ELIGIBLE TO FILE FOR YOU THAT HE SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN A LAWYER TO FILE YOUR PETITION. HE WENT ON TO SAY THE REASON WHY IT IS TAKING SO LONG FOR HER TO COME TO US IS BECAUSE YOUR HUSBAND DID THE FILING HIMSELF. Okay, just wanted to bump this up to the top in case someone had been approved and forgotten to post!! Hi Dip stick hows case going?? Domini, nothing yet. No news at all. I feel bumed becuase almost every one with my same time line has gone to the next step. All the touches were so missleading. We got so many for the past month and well now its been a little over a month and not even a lil touch a peek or nothing. I cant even sleep or relax as my mind is always thinking about the approval. The lawyer just tells me what I already know, that cuttently USCIS is working on the April I-130 applications .and that the I 129f take 60-180 day before approval. We barely made 60 days so far on the I129F and about 4 months on the I-130. I really miss my husband. Wonder what ever happened to zimba ?He never told us if he contacted uscis about his progress. When my citizenship was approved the only notice I had was the approval letter I really hope you (and everyone else waiting) get approved soon! well , according to the 5 emails I got tonight .......it's official , make us a red line please. K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Confused	You definitely do not need to file the I824 if your only goal is to be together as soon as possible. The I824 looks like it is taking about 6 months to process, then you would have to add the additional processing time at the NVC and then the wait for the interview. If you do not file the I824, the beneficiary will go through the shorter K3 process and then come to the U.S. Once they are here, they can file for adjustment of status and will not have to return to Colombia. I concur with the previous poster except to emphasize (not that the opposite was said) - that she should answer all questions completely honestly. If they ask her about you she should admit that you are married. But definitely have evidence that she is going back. Enjoy your visit! It's a good thing because you will be together! Having/using a visitor visa has no impact on the petition process. But keep in mind that she should be well-armed with evidence to prove her ties to her country and her intent to return in the event she is questioned about this at the POE. US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	K3 Forwarded to London	I have always heard that if a consulate already has the IR/CR1, or receives it after the K3, then it will terminate the K3 process. You also could just not follow up on the K3 at all and keep working on the CR1 - there are steps that would still have to be done for the K3, and without that the consulate definitely wouldn't be able to pursue it. I don't know how long it usually takes but I can say that my K-3 Visa was transferred to London back in February, but on the 10th of February my I-130 was approved so we decided to wait on that instead. At the moment though we're still waiting on confirmation that our case is complete and they're going to forward that on to London so it may be months before I get to be with my wife again unless I visit her again. If I'd known it would have taken this much longer I think I'd have stuck with the K-3 but as we've spent the time and money on the CR-1 route now we're seeing it through. Every case varies though so I guess yours could whizz through the system, but according to a lot of the stuff I've read the processing times for my case has been pretty fast	riblet	Female	Canada	2006-10-10 20:35:00
US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	Interview Help	well, based on what the consulate said, it doesn't sound like they need the NOA2 for the I130 --- and realistically it doesn't make any sense at all that the I130 NOA2 would be needed for a K3 interview, because the K3 was specifically invented to bring spouses to the U.S. while they were waiting for the I130 to be approved.
