K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	WHY VERMONT CENTRE IS FASTER THAN OTHERS?	Well, I'm compiling data on this egregious discrepancy and forwarding it on to my Senator. It may not do any good, but it makes no sense for California to take on nearly 3 times the case load. From the data I've gathered so far, even though they have 3 times the case load, it takes them quadruple the amount of time to process them. And, in my case, and others marrying Canadians, the same thing happens at the Department of State level, as Montreal serves a higher population, as well, and is much slower than the consulate in Vancouver. In one recent report from the Canadian forum, someone called the Montreal Consulate and was told that it would take 8-12 months to schedule an interview. Here is a list of the state senators, their addresses and phone numbers. You might want to draft a letter template and make it available for other VJ members to mail to or use to call their senator(s). If there is a concerted effort behind this, they make start to take notice. List of senators Do you hav e acopy of the letter that you sent to your congressmen(women)? Any one of us gets that NOA2 and we'll all be screaming with joy, cause the others will soon follow. Yes, wow I didn't even notice that...good stuff. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	CSC Slowdown	The estimates are only as good as the data input to generate it. I've noticed some people put the NOA1 date in the timeline as the date it was received. Others use the day it was issued. Some are still reporting sending to TSC or NSC. I am guessing this causes a slight delay if they actually mailed to wrong center. I chose to use received NOA1 dates to generate data because these are all coming from CSC now. No matter where they are sent, they should be coming from CSC. Then I took a weighted average of the timelines of the three service centers (ignoring that speedy forth one I won't mention). Right now, we are averaging about 81 days from NOA1 to NOA2 from CSC. But averages can be meaningless. Just ask people that have been waiting 160 days or more. If you like details, fwaguy has done a really nice histogram, etc. For me, I will just hope we are all close to that average timeframe. I would assume if two people put identical data in their timeline, they would get the same projected dates. So it has gone up by four days overall this week, but TODAY it went down. (I know sad, huh?) Seriously, I'm glad things are going well for them over on the East Coast, but they are NOT doing a thing for my blood pressure these days. Actually, a couple of years ago, before the visa fraud, the new laws and shift in petitions they process, petitions were getting processed in about two weeks. I hope they will speed up their process for everyone's sake. Comparing movement for Jan-filers with Nov and Dec-filers, its behind by about 40%. Nov-filers got 90%+ approval by end of Feb and Dec-filers got around 90% approvals by end of March. In comparision, Jan-filers are only at 50% approvals and its end of April already. I think this tells us that all subsequent filers might see a delay now. Only a little over half of January filers have NOA2 now (but I think that will change quickly). 90 to 120 days is a good estimate. Yes, it stinks but its real. But I have a bet with someone I'll have mine in 81 days or less! Good luck! So I took a fellow VJ'ers lead (I'm sorry I can't remember who right now) and called USCIS back for a 2nd time today. This time I followed the prompt to 'change of address'. When I got the Cust. Serv. Rep they said that they couldn't find my Receipt # (hmmmmm), to they transfered me to an OFFICER, who told me that I was APPROVED back on April 24th (day of my first touch) and that they had mailed me out an approval notice which I should get within the week. I told him my status hadn't changed online and he said he didn't know anything about that...he was very nice though. I also asked if my packet had been sent to NVC & he said it had on April 24th....(I will take this part with a grain of salt since that sounds pretty fast considering what's been happening lately). TimsDaisy, etc. Call USCIS and use the change of address prompt. This apparently is best way to find out if it's been approved but status hasn't changed online yet!! YAY! OF course, my guy has gone to sleep for the nite so I can't tell him yet! LOL. Congrats...atleast you now know that it was approved...	hmm1	Male	South Korea	2007-05-02 16:15:00
