K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	February Filers CSC, NSC, TSC	No, it will be 30 days on the 11th, and no, I think I will wait on using the big guns, cos ya never know when you will REALLY need them. For something like this, I will just have to wait and see what their next move will be, then try to figure out some battle plan, I guess. On the flip side, I already told them to submit the request. I would hope they did and did not screw THAT up , too. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	February Filers CSC, NSC, TSC	I have a question for the forum. I am getting conflicting information from what my lawyer is telling me versus what the NVC representative is telling me. I received an email from CSC saying that my I-129F was sent to the NVC on the 23rd of May. From what I read on the FAQ and K3 guide in VJ, once the NVC receives the petition it is assigned a case number and then forwarded directly to the embassy. My lawyer is telling me that is not true. She said once the NVC assigns a case number, it is sent back to us with a packet that we have to complete (AOS) and send back to the NVC and then they forward to the embassy. My situation has another twist. I have also filed for the I-130 and the NVC sent us the bar coded packet with the DS-230 and I-864 on 5/22 (we still havent received it). My primary goal is to bring my wife here as quickly as possible since she is 5 months pregnant. In my opinion, the K3 will be received in Venezuela before the I-130, but my lawyer thinks otherwise. If the information in the FAQ is correct that the NVC directly forward to the emabssy, the I-129 petition can be there as early as next week. Since we still havent received the I-130 packet yet, I am predicting it can take up to anotjer 4-6 weeks before the I-130 gets to Venezuela. Can somebody help clarify? They have had our RFE now for two weeks, and still don't even have record of it. So, I hopped my little butt in gear and emailed one of my local representatives and Senator Boxer as well. Hopefully will hear back from them and maybe get some help. Will let you all know what happens. But I don't drink. hey that reminds me, I was coming home from Mexico last night from seeing my sweetie and i got pulled over by the State Trooper because my light over my license plate is out. He asked how much I had to drink and I said nothing. He asked me to get out of the car and walk to the back of the car. He then did the 'follow my pen with your eyes' thing and he did it forever and finally I just started laughing and he asked why. I said I have honestly not had anything stronger than Mexican bottled water to drink and I have never done a field sobriety test. (all the while thinking to myself about clumsy I am and if he asks me to stand on one foot...I'm gonna wobble and then he's gonna take me to jail for being drunk driving...and I haven't even drank anything.) My family had a good laugh when I got home. The irony. You have to keep having faith, if not you will go whacko...I know one day, I felt like driving to CSC and doing it myself...I could have even made it back for work the next day...keep your head up... K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	February Filers CSC, NSC, TSC	Wait a minute, it says on the guide is should send the NOA2 to my fiancee to take to the interview?? That's a problem if they never send it. But why should they need the NOA2, they already have the paperwork and everything. I think I have everything I need, my employer and bank statements...I'll fill out the affadavits of support, add some updated evidence of ongoing relationship and new letter of intent to marry, plus all the old stuff from the original application and mail it to her, that should be all she needs, right? I guess I can harrass uscis about the noa2 if necessary... The embassy wont need the NOA2, they wont even see a petition unless its approved. So showing them a copy of the NOA2 is not necessary. You can include a copy of it, if it makes you feel better, but don't let it slow you down. But when you do get it, you need to keep it, a copy of it is required in filing for AOS. From form I-485: Attach a copy of the fiancé(e) petition approval notice, a copy of your marriage certificate and your Form 1-94. We were approved the on the 8th, we finally got our NOA2 in the mail today. So you should see it soon, hopefully. I think this computer error and hardcopy of NOA2 is dependent on which adjucator that ends up with your packet...I received email notice the day of and three days or so later a hard copy of the NOA2...I really think their entire operating procedure needs to be revamped...maybe after the Army, I will go manage the CSC...	hmm1	Male	South Korea	2007-05-20 12:16:00

The lady she talked to was nice and told her that it takes about 2 weeks to enter the RFE information and update it to my account. The lady told her to call back next Friday for more info. Perhaps there is still hope for me! lol I imagine that was the standard CSC response, just like the website for the processing times. We have a couple red flags that may cause RFE, but we'll see. I think we have sent enough evidence to cover all the bases, but we'll wait and see. 1. We have a 16 year age difference (I am older). 2. We filed only a few days after my divorce was final. I think I read these things can be questioned. I don't think they are big deals, but it would not suprise me if they are questioned. I tried the change of address menu yesterday and got a guy that would not tell me a thing. Using the RFE menu, I got connected to California. A very nice woman verified they have the correct address. Then she said that said my case is "ready to process", "in transit to an officer" and will be ready "soon." When I pressed further, she said "give it another 30 to 60 days" but I detected a wink in her voice like she was giving the standard cover your butt required answer. I told her in a very nice way that this was sooooo difficult for my fiancee and myself, and she repeated "don't worry it is ready to process" and we are "almost there." She was very kind. At least I verified they have the correct mailing address, but other than that I don't think I know anything. At least I spoke with a human worker at CSC. That's great news...I hope it comes soon man... And congrats to all of the approvals that came today...	hmm1	Male	South Korea	2007-05-17 18:11:00

Though Dan told me about the approval, I still insisted to hear it by myself. However, I was so nervous to speak with the person, that when he asked what my name was, I answered, " I'm calling from Indonesia..". He did it on the 2nd try and got a different guy to tell him about the approval. The operator who handles RFE section might hold a better info.
