PhilippinesCan my USC husband have dual citizenship?

Weird, they've let my husband and me go through the USC line together every single time with him just being a tourist. Last time, too, and that was in December. The first time we actually assumed that we had to split up, but the ladies at the passport check told us both to go through the USC line since we were married.

i was talking about the immigration in the philippines.
the tourist lines are the longest... :crying:

immigration line that is

PhilippinesCan my USC husband have dual citizenship?

I agree..... Off topic a bit, in a couple weeks heading to the PI with the wife.. Are we allowed to hit either immigration line now? Pick the shortest?? Haha

Nope.
If you have hold a foreign passport you still have to line up with the "tourists".
that is what had happened with my son (usc through crba and holding a us and pi passport) and i during our last trip - oct 2012.
such a pain....

PhilippinesCENOMAR, DS-157, EVIDENCE
almost done with the medical and on to the interview... i have some questions with form d-157, cenomar and evidence...

D-157 - List all educational institutions you attend or have attended. Date of attendance format (MM-DD-YYY. I can't remember the exact days when I have attended school. How should I go about with the dates?

CENOMAR - My cenomar was requested by my dad (busy at work and he offered) so on the document his name was typed in as the requester with the reason being passport/travel. will that be an issue?

EVIDENCE - my fiance and I have a son so he sometimes sends me money to help out (not scheudled..). I've read that money remmitances would usually not put a positive tone on my evidence. should i leave it? i was thinking it will not turn as a disadvantage/negative since we have a son together which he would have to support. need your thoughts.

thanks for your responses in advance.

Will there be an issue if I dont have a recently signed LOI to Marry within 90 days? All I have is my fiance's initial LOI but I can def sign a new one for myself.

My fiance forgot about the LOI when he mailed the support docs as he was working on his taxes...

We have all other docs such as my boarding tix going to the US and passport stamps from both of us.

Your thoughts?

Thanks!

PhilippinesDS-156 questions

1. We put Manila for Province

2. K-1 visa

3. Just say NO for now it doesn't matter.

4. For you YES, never lie. Then list the tourist and work visa info they ask for.

1. Province = METRO MANILAA. Manila is not a province but a city. (ie Manila, Metro Manila)

Philippinesneedr answer urgent to all filipina members pls...

They are IR.CR-1 the process is different, most documents are sent to NVC. But she will need a current NBI for the embassy.

Giod catch! Thanks!!! As always! :)

Philippinesneedr answer urgent to all filipina members pls...
Yes to the NBI clearance (green form - VISA USA).
Unless youve lived out of the PI for about 1 year *correct me if its less** you wont need the police clearance.

You don't need to give anything to the lawyer (docs wise) as you will be the one presenting all these on your interview.
Check the pinned topic on the PI forum "Some Useful link" and you'll gain a lot of info there (just go to the last page).

:)

PhilippinesSt. Lukes Medical Experience
I did mine last April 3.
I am still debating as wether its easier to doing an online form or just filling it up there.
I did the online registration but those who just filled up their forms in the facility got their numbers called first.
The whole process is easy - just a lot of waiting.
Bring a good book to read. I wouldn't recommend listening to music as they call people thru a paging system.
Bring a lot of patience and some crackers.

PhilippinesUSEM & Direction Following MNL Number

You are one of the rare ones to get a letter from the embassy.

I guess I was. Glad that I did not wait for it tho. Been reading a lot from this forum. The moment we received our NOA2, I bugged the fiance to contact NVC. Once we have the MNL#, I paid the visa and scheduled the interview.

I got the letter from the embassy a day before I went to the SLEC.

Isn't the Instruction Letter the one that can be found online at the below link?

http://photos.state....3__rtf2_005.pdf

Techinally that is the instruction letter.
They were asking for the letter that has the MNL number.
But if you dont have it... like me.
Just tell them. They will still process her.

PhilippinesUSEM & Direction Following MNL Number
I got a letter from the embassy. :)
anyway, that is not what they need. they wanted the instruction letter and will insist on getting one.
just have your love tell them that she hasn't received anything (1st day)
on the second day they will still insist for it and tell them the same thing. :)
upon the end of the 2nd day they wont be asking for it...

PhilippinesPregnant
Just like what Hank said, if the kid is your child then no visa needed. CRBA is the answer.

for breastfeeding q's - i suggest to have her bfeed as much as she could. breast is best. when she needs to travel he can pump and store the milk in the fridge. if bmilk is frozen it can last for 6 months. just make sure that when she tries the bottle for her baby she's no where near so the baby wont be asking for her. babies can smell bmilk. :)

when i did half/half for my kid i never mixed it inside the bottle. (ou shouldn't). i gave my son 2 oz of formula then bmilk after...

PhilippinesEmigrating with Infant

ECC for daughter - have you thought of getting your daughter a passport. it should only take ~1 week or so for a rush passport - no need to pay for exit fees and your duaghter has documentation for being dual citizen.
Emmgration fee - 1650(is this included with delta airfare for a 1-way ticket?) - not always. when you purchase the tix did you use their PI website? Check for your receipt it has travel tax that says around $40 or so dollars it will be covered.
Airport Tax - 550(does the baby also have to pay this if she will be traveling infant-in-arms and does not have her own ticket?) The baby will have her own ticket (10% of the adult fare) the baby's boarding pass will be released together with your wife's. I don't remember paying for my son when I traveled last year.
Airport Tax - 550(for my wife, I know she pays this)

PhilippinesSt Luke's and K2 Passport??? URGENT

Isn't their more test done on your fiancee than the child under 15 or 17 years of age? I wonder if that has something to do with it, maybe the clinic has to review some things of your fiancee yet and the childs medical is completed?

Hope all things go smooth!

The fiancee was given the shots, which is suppose to be the determining factor whether you are good to go for interview or now..

SLEC didnt return her passport. Did she ask why?
I noticed that at the US embassy they asked for the appointment letter, the ds forms. checked thed passport with the SLEC stamp. So I'm wondering why they didnt return your fiance's passport and just your stepkid's.

off topic
i wish there's a tagging option on forums... lol

PhilippinesSt Luke's and K2 Passport??? URGENT
Just went to SLEC last April 3rd and they on my 2nd day my passport was returned to me. April 11 was my interview date. Idk if the interview date has to play a role.

At the embassy, they checked for the appointment letter and the passports.

I am no of great help but sharing my recent experience.

had the same "problem" before.
at the interview - they never asked for an updated letter of intent.

PhilippinesVisa on Hand
be at the CFO place around 5am for the 9AM session. eat a heavy breakfast. they will start letting people in at around 6-630AM.
bring 2 valid ids and photocopies of both. do the registration online to save you from filling up the registration form.
when advised to go to the 3rd floor (GCPP area) take the stairs - elevator is small and slow. get the form and fill it up.

do know your husband's mother's maiden name.
use the philippine format when writing your husband's name - which is first name (with his middle name) then middle name- mother's maiden name then last name. (EX. William Bradley Smith - his mom's Maiden name is Evalyn Robinson so you will put in his name as First Name: William Bradley/Maiden Name: Robinson (from the mom) Last Name: Smith). **reason behind - you are using a PI form thus you should follow how we do it in the PI.

do know your husband's college course specially when he graduted college.

for those who are divorced make sure that you bring the complete divorce decree.

also dont forget to plug in the zip code for all addresses.

the people at cfo can HOLD the paper whenever they feel so.. make sure that you dont make them feel the need to.
they may ask you about the immigration process ie whats the next step when you get there... make sure you know..

they were bragging about holding their clients until they feel that its okay to give them the sticker.

also a ticket is not an assurance they will give you the sticker..

Oh and Congrats! Goodluck!! :)

PhilippinesTaxi from Malolos Bulacan to Ermita

Thanks...I probably wouldn't hesiitate if it was for me but I think I will stick with the other two references you gave me for Joan. Worst case scenario is that she can take a bus to the SM SuperMall and get a taxi to the hotel...not my favorite option, but she took the bus to get her passport. I am really surprised that the hotel has not responded--or the two taxi companies for that mattter!

Thanks. She might do that...she took the bus to get her passport with no problem.

Good Job! Malolos is not that far from manila specially if we are refering to SM North EDSA.

My personal opinion, since she did it with her passport (kudos to her) she should just do the same.

Don't "baby" her too much as the US is not going to "baby" her. (Meant that in all the good way possible)

BTW - im the benefeciary. :)

PhilippinesTaxi from Malolos Bulacan to Ermita

have her take a bus. its not that far.

ive taken a bus in and out of bulacan (even with my son at 7 months old) and never had a problem.

also she can take some UV Express vans going to SM North Edsa then she take a cab from there going to Ermita.

It might seem forever. Got at the area around 5:45PM, my schedule was for 7 I think. I got out around 11AM or around 12PM.

I'm wondering if my USC husband can submit my SSN application forms together with the supporting documents.

Thanks for your insights.

PhilippinesStupid, some might say. St.Luke's CD with Medical Data...

That CD should be for yours to keep. They have another copy on packet you've turned over at POE. A copy of DS-3025 is what you'll need for AOS stage

That's a relief. However, if the CD is mine to keep why was it sealed?

PhilippinesStupid, some might say. St.Luke's CD with Medical Data...
So I'm wondering when and where should I be giving/sending this CD. I think I have read somewhere that it should be submitted at my POE. Careless and stupid I might say, I wasn't able to give mine. Actually it is still with me. The officer never asked for it and due to jet lag I forgot about. I just recently remembered it since I'm working on my AOS package and dealing with DS3025. The CD has never been opened. Can I still send it to them? How and what will I tell them? Thanks.
