The timeline mentioned is a written description that can be titled "Evolution of Our Relationship" and it can serve to tie together the evidence that you submit.   Just because you email with a person, or visit them a lot or even sign a letter stating an intent to marry, none of that can prove that your have a legitimate relationship where the two intend to marry and live together and not commit visa fraud.   The letter is more for the interview but many Embassies / countries seem to like or even need some front loading of the petition and then maybe more for the interview.	baron555	Male	Russia	2014-02-18 16:14:00

We sent our response almost 3 weeks ago so I start to worry that something is wrong. Also my US fiancé is 25y older than me and I am wondering whether this is a red flag for them and they want to make it difficult for us. Could they deny us on that basis (would be quite discriminatory though)? Thanks   USCIS would not deny a petition on age reasons....they'd leave that for the Embassy.   USCIS will approve your petition based on the completeness of the documentation and required attachments,evidence of meeting in person and successfully passing all background checks..  The Embassy will determine if you have a legitimate relationship not entered into to circumvent immigration laws or commit visa fraud.  Age differences can enter into the decision; those are largely country-specific.	baron555	Male	Russia	2014-02-25 09:39:00

Leave it blank, if you write in None, the her middle name will be None.     2) Residency of last five years....first one does not have a street or number of street for address its just a "****University" name, is this ok to put say "Duke University"  Yes   3) Current address will most likely change by the time the embassy can send the package, is there an address that is not mine I can get the package mailed to? How would I write that in there for them to know? Yes   4) Last five years residence. If first residence lasted for 4 years (university) but only last two would fit within the 5 year timeframe. Should I write the dates all the way back from when i started to live at that address making it 7 years of residence or just cutoff and make it a perfect 5 years.  Yes, 7 years is fine.   5) Does her printed name in last bolded box need to be printed in pen or typed?  Either   6) If one parent is deceased in the row for her parent residence would we write last residence or "deceased" Deceased.   Not for this form but in general, is a birth certificate needed at any point in the process from getting the visa to becoming a citizen? She does not have a birth certificate? She will NEED one for the interview.  No BC, no visa.   Also should she breakup her first name and make one a first and one a middle name for her passport and visa forms? On the top of the letter it states...   *All foreign language documents must be submitted with complete word-for-word English translations. The translator must certify that the translation is complete and accurate, and that he or she is competent to translate. Do not submit the English translation without the foreign language document.     my question is does he need to do a letter of intent in his native language or can he just do it in English. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Declaration of how you met	I disagree that the question asks about meeting in person only, and here is why.   In the world before the internet, when people met it was always in person.  Now, so many people meet online I think they get confused about this.  If you met online, and someone asks you how you met your fiance, you wouldn't reply "Jacques picked me up at the airport in Paris."  It just makes no sense.  Why would he pick you up? How did he know you were there?   I think meeting on the internet is changing how people respond to this question.     It is in close proximity to a question about satisfying the 2-year in person requirement, but I think it is a slightly different question.  I do think they want to know how you came to know each other.  Just like Girl from Celebes said, they put "met online" and it was approved.   I don't want to argue the point, because the wording is confusing, but I am just putting my take, out there.  Take from it what you want.   USCIS does not make a determination of the validity of the relationship, that is left up to the Embassy......so the how you met is only in reference to how you met in person.  It's very clear.   Two sentences is all it took for us with no RFEs.	baron555	Male	Russia	2014-02-28 09:44:00

Some people say to keep it simple but I have seen some have written ""lots and lots of details" (as quoted).  With that statement, I already imagined a couple of pages. So, what was your actual number of pages? Will the beneficiary write this one too?
