K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresEmployment Certification
It's not important whether or not the letter shows his hourly rate, or annual rate. The employement certificate is just proof that he is currently emplyed. The most important thing is the AOS (affidavit of Support) that has been notarized, his recent ITRs ( Income tax returns), and W-2s. Also if you can secure a copy of his bank statements to show the consul. I also advice you to open a joint account at a local bank, as proof that you share financial property together. As additional proof of your relationship. Hope I helped you. Just finished my interview and now waiting anxiusly for my Visa. headbonk.gif

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Proceduresus embassy in manila issues new rules in visa applications
Uh oh, I hope you already found a solution. But if not, you can only use a PLDT landline, or let your fiance call in the US. These is the data from the US embassy website:

The Importance of Becoming “Documentarily Qualified”

All case processing for Manila, including appointment scheduling, is generally done at the National Visa Center (NVC) in the U.S. An applicant’s case number does not determine his or her position in the scheduling queue. Once a case is current, the applicant’s place in the scheduling queue will be determined by the date all the necessary, completed documents are received at NVC. Then the case becomes “documentarily qualified.”
We believe the waiting time for an appointment date is approximately three (3) to five (5) months from the date the case is “documentarily qualified.” As soon as an appointment date does become available, NVC will forward the case to Embassy Manila. NVC will also send the petitioner and/or the authorized agent/representative an appointment package.
If a case has been current for over five (5) months and there is still no appointment date in the above link, check with NVC to ascertain the status of the petition. NVC’s mailing address is 32 Rochester Avenue , Portsmouth, New Hampshire 03801-2909 , telephone number (603) 334-0700. Case inquiries can also be made by e-mail at: NVCInquiry@state.gov.

Visa Interview Appointments

If you already have a visa petition filed for you and your priority date is current or about to become current, you may check below for your appointment date. Just type your case number on the textbox and click the “Check Appointment” button.

Click here and check for your case number

If you have an interview date, but no time is indicated on your appointment letter, you should plan to appear at the Embassy at 7:30 a.m. on the date of your appointment. The database or listing is updated in the middle of each month. If you do not see an appointment date, check back after one month. Usually, this site carries appointment dates three (3) months out.

K Visa Interview Appointments

Starting March 19, 2008, those applying for K-1, K-2, K-3 and K-4 visas who have been notified by the Embassy to prepare for their interview can call 1-909-101-7878 (within the Philippines) to schedule an interview appointment at the U.S. Embassy. The cost of the 909 service is U.S. $0.98 per minute; this amount will be charged to your telephone bill.
Applicants, Agents or Petitioners calling from within the United States will also be able to use this service by calling 1-888-877-9888. The cost of the 888 service from the United States is a U.S. $18 PIN payable using a Visa or MasterCard once you have called into the service.
Applicants or their representatives must have the applicant’s Immigrant Case Number as given in the Embassy notification letter available when they call to schedule an appointment.
Callers can speak with an English or Tagalog speaking operator. The service is available to the public from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, Manila local time.

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresK3 Visa Interview Manila
I Have the same case with your wife. I was interviewed last July 18 and havent heard from Delbros nor the embassy ever since. I have a theory about whats happening. After the NVC forwarded the papers to the embassy, the embassy failed to act on it. Meaning even after we payed delbros, they still havent subjected the papers for verification. Or Delbros failed to let them know that the applicant already paid the Verification fee. That verification process is causing the delay of the release of our Visas.

I tried calling the embassy but they are hard to contact. But you should try to contact them as well, maybe you'll be lucky.

The number is 3012000 local 5184, look for Grace ( I think).

Send me a message if your successful and share some light to this, thanks!

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresANYONE DONE K3 INTERVIEW..USEM
Yes Haole, I was caught of guard with that. It was not included with the USEM preparation. They should have included it. If only I found out about this site sooner. Well things happen. Delbros is to blame. I just received an unreliable text from them.

from the Delbros hotline. Text quote:

"Pls be informed that your verification request form is not yet forwarded to Delbros by the US Embassy. We will coordinate it with the Embassy. Thank You."

What makes this unreliable?

First, before i received this text message my wife already called the US embassy. The agent told her that my case, is still under DV. Also she told her that they are still waiting for Delbros's reply before they can further process my Visa.

Second, I already personally called and talked with an NSO officer (richard) regarding my document verification from Delbros. He then checked their files and said "sent back na po". He even asked me when I payed Delbros, and stated my complete name to verify, "David ... po kayo?, sent back na po".

How can I receive this text when the above proves it not to be true. crying.gif

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresANYONE DONE K3 INTERVIEW..USEM
You may download the K3 Visa Interview preparation here: http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3238.html
It's located at the bottom of the webpage. Carefully read and study it, and be sure to bring everything in the list to your interview.

Let me share my experience lat July 18.

My interview time was 7am, I got to the embassy at 6am. I stayed on a nearby hotel so I would rush going to the embassy. Being late means having your interview reshedule on another date, specifically the next month. So come early. have breakfast a a nearby chowking. Most of the chowkings near the embassy are 24 hours. Or bring some cookies with you. Dont forget to leave your cellphone at home or the hotel. They wont allow you to enter the embassy with it. Peddlers charge P200 pesos to have your cellphones deposited to them, although to give your cellphone to a stranger? out of the question.

When I got to the embassy, there was already a long line for Tourist and working Visas. I walked from the Padre Paura side of the embassy. I noticed a lot of peopleon the sidewalk offering lots of things, like to have your picture taken and stuff. I ignore them and approach the guards of the embassy instead to ask which gate I should enter. He then pointed me to the white tent where signs are posted, "Immigrant Applicants, K1, K3...". I then fell in line, luckly it was not a very long line compared to the tourist visa line. the gurad asked me for my appointment letter, I then showed him the email sent by the cal center of the embassy. And they let me thru.

I then entered a room with an xray and metal detector, a man brought his swiss knife and was denied entrance to the embassy, some brought their cellphones and was denied too. I saw some people bringing their xray films with them, i left mine, the embassy never asked for it, so leave yours at home. Leaving the room I foolowed arrows leading to the Immigrant Visa Unit. There all the applicants were asked to sit on one of the blue chairs. Then the guard called the applicants by time of interview. When the 7am group was up, the guard asked us to fall in line to a nearby booth which asked for our DS forms and appointment letters.. Some applicants failed to answer some questions and were asked to go back in line to complete them. So I suggest you put N/A to irrelevant questions. Don't leave a question unanswered, and be sure your picture is already glued. After that they gave us a four digit number, which will be your number for the whole process.

Waited about nearly an hour before and a guy at window 16 was calling applicants names. It was my turn and window 16 scanned me for fingerprints. I went back to my seat again and after a while my number popped up and directed me to window 26. There a filipino pre screener asked various questions like:

State your full name?
Birthday?
Whats your wife's full name?
Is she a citizen?
When did you first met?
When did you get married?
How long are you married now?
Did you ever got married before?
Do you have kids?
What's your wife's birthday?
Then she asked if I have a Cenomar, Birth Certificate, Marriage Certificate, AOS, 2007 ITR, letters, pictures with my wife, phone records, bank records.

I had a short stop with that window luckily. I got sad when my other fellow applicants got shouted at, and asked various very personal questions like. When did you got intimate with your partner. Or "wala ba kayong ibang contact number na puwede nating ilagay? sa kapatid? kapitbahay?, gusto mo bang makapasa kuha talaga ng Visa o hindi?. You can hear the other pre screeners bec. they have 2 small speakers on every window. So be sure you have all complete documents and answer correctly their questions.

I then was asked to seat down again and wait for my number to show up again. I didnt even barely warmed my seat and my number flashed again. This time directing me to window 30. A kind american women consul was there. Asked me to raise my hand and swear. And then asked me somewhat same questions as the pre screener. She then said, it looks ok, while looking at her PC. I was supprised when she said that they still need to do verifications processes of their own before my visa can be further process. ( That's the problem I have know bec. I thought Delbros already did it, just to find out they still have to start with it gggrrrr).

I was asked to seat again to the blue chairs and wait for mu number to show up. I didnt even managed to seat on the chair when window 37 called my name. On the window a filipina staff asked me if I already payed delbros. I said yes (I paid Delbros a week before my interview, texted them, they confirmed), and she asked for the Metrobank Receipt of payment I made for delbros. I gave it to her. She then gave me a white paper and a pink slip. And explained that to release my Visa they still need to do some verification processes blah blah blah. Im starting to get pissed, bec I followed the instruction on paying Delbros diligently. She then asked me to pay for the delivery fee for delbros. And asked me that I can go home after paying the fee.

So that was it, and two weeks after my interview here I am still waiting for my Visa. So be sure Delbros already worked with your DV even before your interview date. So you might not suffer the same. Goodluck and God Bless. good.gif

Finally got the 2 e-mails from CRIS today at 8:15 am. They apparently approved my petitions yesterday (Sunday) ! I have to say that while our 7 month wait was not easy it was probably nothing compared to what some other people here had to go through. Thanks to everyone for their support and I will continue to post here as I go through the remaining steps of this process (while CR-1 is tempting I think we will pursue the K3 visa).

Best of luck to everyone else waiting - especially Joey (Joseph loves his wife) who's timeline is close to mine (hope you hear something soon).

Delbros delivered my Visa yesterday, 27th of August 2008. I was at work at that time....my Mom called me and went home so early to finally see my visa.

Thank you to all of you and most specially to Riza and Majorie (whom I called late in the evening just to ask instructions how to get my passport from the packet...)

God is good all the time!

Hi Jerdex! Oh really? You should have approached me at that time.....I was carrying such a heavy transparent white bag. I paid delbros last July 7, 2008. I didn't do anything to speed up my visa....I just prayed and I waited.

Don't worry you'll get your visa soon........

By the way, from where are you?

My fiancee got her medical exam results the same day, but it was in Ukraine. I worried about the interview also and so did she and it was so silly. The people were very nice, there were NO questions asked and the whole process took maybe 10 minutes (plus the waiting time) we were out of there in about an hour. Just get ALL the documents exactly as they ask for them and you will be fine.

i paid delbros for my document verification aug 4 2008 i text them and got a confirmation that they have received the payment. I sent a msg to them asking when they forward my case to nso and again i received a reply from them that they forward it last aug 6. I had my interview last aug 19 and i got a pink slip and white paper...the consul told me that they need to verify my documents and after that my visa will be approved.... it says on the white paper that WAIT TILL YOU HEAR FROM US.... i had all documents they needed and they didnt ask me for more evidence or so.... i have read from a post here that she had her interview same date with mine and her visa is on the way....that is why i told my fiance to call usem and they told him that our case is still under administrative review....

What does this mean? are they having second thoughts with our application? is my case already verified by the nso? I tried calling the number that was given here but nso number is under repair and i cant get hold of them...i also tried calling delbros for the status of my case but they told me i just have to text the hotline numbers....

i am really worried? whats happening? does anybody here have the same experience? please tell me what to do aside from waiting lol... laughing.gif

Medicals are so different and so much of it depends on the country. For information like this, it might be a good idea to either PM someone who's fiance is from China, or look on the specific forums. I'm just saying this because, being a woman, and reading threads over the past two years about female examinations, I know that they differ from country to country. Don't set her up to expect one thing when it may not be the case for your area.

All the best!

hi!

im not giving false reassurance here...im just relating what happened to me as i know its a case to case basis...but what i am certain of as 1 of the healthcare team i am sure that as a patient you have the right to request for a female doctor....that is 1 of the patients bill of rights...im not basing only on my experience and by just reading threads here ok? i have been working in different hospitals and i have had observed and experienced cases such as physical exams wherein patients asked for female doctors and it was being granted...im informing him as not all of us knows that...god bless...

USCIS Service CentersAP IN USCIS LEVEL

Yes this is a very standard response uscis will give to service requests, when you check your case status online does it still say under initial review? As a general rule, typing all in caps in considered poor Internet etiquette as it is interpreted as yelling. Therefore, in the future please refrain from posting all in caps.
If you did put in a service request, and your file still displays as under initial review, then it would probably be a good time to get your representative nvolved. Good luck!
One other possibility, just be sure they did not send you an RFE that they are waiting on a response from you. You can call and ask them of you are unsure.

thank you your reply is greatly appreciated ..sorry for the capslock( i forgot to wear my eyeglasses :() i dont mind it anyway.have a good day and thank you, your response clear some questions in my mind.:)

USCIS Service CentersAP IN USCIS LEVEL

Did you put in a service request to request status on your case? I had asked for a service request, and the result of the service request was to wait another 120 days. I think it is just a standard response.

If you did not put in a service request, then I'm not sure why you are receiving this.

yes we did that...and Thanks God its not what im think of like A.P. hope we can have our noa2 in least 120 days ..Goodluck for both journey we have.
