Philippines	Scheduling the Interview - Manila	In the online system, the UID is displayed when you register, when your scheduled time is confirmed, and it is listed in the interview confirmation PDF page. You can download the confirmation letter from the website online or have it sent to you, though mine never arrived when I requested it by email. Yes I did get a letter - i downloaded it after finishing the scheduling steps. I tried to have it sent to me when it asked for a password but it never sent it by email. I eventually figured out what password they wanted and was able to open it. Yes it is the password you create when you register to set the appointment, it just never tells you that on the website you have to guess that I called the embassy and they said I was eligible to schedule the appointment. I have been calling them every couple of days for the last couple of weeks waiting. Unfortunately the date that would have been best for me was this month no longer available so I went ahead and schedule it for next month instead. Edited by BigJohn, 07 December 2010 - 02:31 AM. Philippines	Scheduling the Interview - Manila	I just tried to schedule an appointment on that thing and it was HORRIBLE. First of all, it does give you the UID when you first sign up. But it NEVER tells you you need this information to log in again. Guess what? Without it you are screwed as there is no way to have the site send it to you if you didn't write it down. So I went through and scheduled mine. For case type number I entered my full MNL case # and it accepted it (with MNL in it). Scheduling the interview was not a problem. The problem was after it was done and I go to get the appointment letter. I downloaded it in PDF format. When i open it it asks me for a password. They NEVER gave me a password (and I looked on the site there was none). I tried entering my MNL number, passport #, etc but nothing worked. I went back and told it to email it to me figuring maybe it would send the password in the email, but have not received anything. When I tried to go back again my connection to the site got screwed up. I go back to log in, but I don't have a UID, so there is no way I can log in. i am going to call the phone # for setting appointments. I suggest you do the same. 2-982-5555 in the phillipines. When I left I had to pay an exit clearance fee. Does she have to pay some similar tax before leaving, or is she ready to go now? Philippines	is consulate asking 4 tax papers or info of spouse?	Yes, in the philippines they will frequently require the full 3 years returns. I read a message on another site recently (or maybe it was this one) that someone new was in charge in the embassy recently and they are sticklers for this type of thing and are requiring 3 years even though I believe only 1 is required by the rules of the form. As a general rule in my experience, ALWAYS take a copy of EVERY document that they could conceivably ask for when dealing with the embassy, even if they have already been provided it before. If they lose it is is your loss while they wait for you to provide it. You are responsible if they don't have it. Can't speak for non-dcf since I didn't go that route... obviously if they are required its an NVC requirement, not USEM since they don't require it for DCF I have heard they want both names as well. What we did was have them put her full combined name on the NBI and we did not have any problems with the embassy. US and filipino custom would be Mary Vargas Smith, as the maiden name usually replaces the old middle name, but in the US a woman can do it however she wants -- both names, either name. She could be Mary Ramos Vargas Smith, too. In the philippines, her old middle name is her mother's family name, so it's not a special middle name that's unique. If you want, try Enfamil Expecta but I recommend to ask your doctor first before using this. It was already at the end of my 3rd trimester when I discovered it so I wasn't able to try it If you want the fastest, easiest and reliable shipping company then try LBC. Yes, I was surprised myself why Hotel Soriente is not mentioned, when in fact it is just a few steps away from St. Luke's (only 10 meters or less away). CherryBlossoms is a walking distance away from St Luke's. Meaning, it is several meters away from St. Luke's and there's a not so well-lighted part of the road going to St. Luke's which for me is scary specially if I have to walk alone at dawn. But yes, CherryBlossoms is a few steps away from Robinson's. Another hotel that's just a few steps away from St. Luke's is the Paragon Tower Hotel, just next door to Hotel Soriente, but more expensive due to free breakfast for two (P1,900.00). Both hotels are decent. So great you post all this info on here... I'm beginning to search for hotels online, it's a great help really, though as for now we're in the "waiting and crossing our fingers stage", hehehe...but ohhhh WOW as I see your timelines---it was awesome, really FAST huh???...GLAD for you...
