PhilippinesHeartbroken and deceived---need help/advice

she cheated on him. And your right maybe she felt lonely and she maybe felt like she cant relate and talk to anybody but only to her family and friends online. Some people are eager to go here but sometimes once they get here they see that its really different here. Not if you make friends but still most of the time your friends get busy too so at the end of the day they will think of how nice to be with thier family and friends in the Philippines.

Nobody is perfect and neither of us here. You cant really judge a person immediately by what she has done. There is always a space in our heart to learn how to forgive and forget. And maybe give another chance unless they dont want to. And besides shes only been here for how many weeks. Some people are weak to get tempted to be unfaithful and unfortunately shes one of those people. God bless to you OP.

Ummm heres an Idea shes only been here a few weeks and shes already lonely/cheating...what will she do within the next year??? not exactly a great start!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsOver - Whelming sense of jealousy!!
Yes I think a lot of people do get "that Feeling" from time to time, You have to remember what you are going through and how your feelings are totally normal. You must also remember that one day you will be "that Couple", you will have dinner together, movies and make people like us jealous! The journey is always worth the end result. I have had moments where I feel that exact way as though it is unfair that people get to just Be together and we don't. How some people seem to think this is such an easy process and how people always forget how lucky they are to be with that one person! I cannot wait to be "home" for good and I truly hope that your journey through this will come an end soon! Good luck

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reportshow to wait patiently & positively

not TMI in my book :D the more info the merrier!
i totally have thought the same thing about the shaving legs business.

in any case--i like your point about making something fun to look forward to. that's so important. and tonight that's exactly what i'll be doing--seeing harry potter! :D

thanks for your response. you make waiting sound almost fun!

We use to text a few times a day, talk every night, watch videos together while sitting on messenger (that was fun a virtual movie), we played games together, sent emails and cards. We use to do the countdown of our next visit. I didn't have a lot to do so I mostly focused on the whole process and paperwork, friends and family, the future.

Most of all, just hang in there. The end result is the most amazing thing. Smile :)

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsCant Wait Any More
To the Op.. I agree with most of these people in saying that there is not much you can do about it unless you are past the 5-6 month period.
I also agree that different people will react different to posts, Almost everyone has gone through having to wait at some point, some went the AOS way and might have not had to wait as long but they did have to stay put for awhile.

I went through the noa-1/noa-2 very quickly but then went through NVC and waiting for the interview for many months. We all hate the wait , we all wish it was simplier but there is not any other way so we wait it out.

I kind of take offense to what someone said about "us", the people who are finally where we are meant to be, forgetting what it was like to be in "your" position. I do not think that anyone who has gone through the journey will ever forgot what we went through to get where we are. We fought to be here just as hard as anyone else. SOme people will however move on and live their wonderful lives together as one and try to think of the times that were hard that are now over with.

Back to topic..

Op hang in there and once it is over you will feel like the journey and time apart was always worth it.
Cheer up, always express yourself and be around family and friends. You will get through it :)

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsLuck of Willpower
I have to agree with above posters.

1) I am sorry to hear you two are calling it quits.

2) Everyone in this situation gets tired of waiting but If its meant to be then what is this small amount of time? when you have a lifetime together.

3) It is better to end it now then to be together and realize its not right.

Good luck in the future :)

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresMarriage without full-blow wedding

Hi everyone,
My girlfriend lives in the USA and she has hinted that we have to get married as the 'long distance relationship' is not good for her (she is questioning my commitment....). The issue is I cannot afford a fullblown wedding - reception, limos, etc as most of money is for travel to the US and for supporting the family (kids from ex-boyfriend; I dont mind looking after them). Can she file I-130 for me without wedding photos? Only marriage cert and may be a few photos with friends. I have promised her a reception when all this is out of the way. Please advise. Is other 'evidence of relationship'without wedding OK?

That does not sound like the best reason to rush getting married however I do know that it is hard to be away from the one you love and distance can make a persons mind and soul go crazy (people sometimes start questioning commitment etc)

My husband and I got married at a Court house, The only other person in the room was my son and the court lady. We asked her If she could take a Picture of us and she did one of us kissing after our vows, then we went outside and took a few pictures of us by some flowers (we put the camera ontop of our car and ran for the 10 second countdown. We then went out for lunch as MR&Mrs...Oh and we rented a sports car for a day (It was AWESOME)

You could do the same thing, Go to a Court house and bring a few friends to celebrate with you, ask them to take pictures and take them out for lunch to enjoy the day with you. You can have a inexpensive but yet awesome day.

We sent in some pictures with our i130 but You cant really tell they are wedding pictures as I am not wearing a wedding dress, we just look dressed up. It would be nice to have a few though.

They are going to want to see evidence of on going relationship, chat logs, emails, phone records, travel records, flight tickets etc.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresAPPLICATIONS FOR MY KIDS

In my experience, the officer interviewing me paid very close attention to my custody documents. My son is almost 18 years old, our visa interview was when he was 16. I have had custody of him since he was born, but my custody documents did NOT indicate the word SOLE. In fact, I had to go back to family court and get my documents reworded so they specifically indicated that: 1) My ex had no parental rights & that I had sole physical custody 2) That my son was allowed to live outside Canada.

Good luck!

To be honest, They didnt give me much of a hassle at all and didnt pay much attention to any of my court documents. However I do have sole custody with visitation to be agreed upon (Never) and I went back to court during NVC stage to get a second court order giving me the right to move him to the states without his sperm donors permission.

Maybe it was because I covered all my bases.

I had my fingerprints done at the local police station (In PA) then sent the forms to the rcmp in canada. From the time I sent the forms to the time I got the police certificate was 60 days.

I suggest you wait a little while but knowing where to go and who to send it to would be a good thing to know

Ok Quick Question... somewhat complex.
I am in United states Visiting my husband. When we get to the NVC stage they are going to want My Bio page of my passport. I have yet to change my passport as my other identification took a while to get back to me. Most of my Identification is Now in my married name but my passport is in my maiden name still. I was planning on doing the passport application before I came here for the holidays but as I said Other ID took more time than expected.
I do however have the application form, pictures and almost all that I need to change it. But I will not be in canada for a few months now, will changing my passport after The NVC but before Interview cause problems Or Should I Send my passport through the mail to canada Change it and get it send back to me and Pray that it doesnt get lost in the mail.

Any advice ?

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresFinancial evidence for CR1 I-130
Hello,
I am the ben not the pen. My husband put me on his bank account at wachovia they didnt need a SSN to do that. I can also advise that you look into maybe opening a paypal account with her on your account. My husband just did his taxes last week and he put me on his taxes..he filed married filing jointly however we did send a W-7 Itin form along with his tax papers so that they would be a ITIN number on his taxes. If you visit her maybe she could open an account and put you as a joint owner. As it always helps to be in person when opening an account with someone. I can give you some more info on the ITIN if needed.
Good luck and all the best.

I don't have a job, I'm Unemployed till i get my Visa and ssn to work in USA.
When I visit I just bring everything I can think of, Last years taxes, Phone bills in my name, anything in her name, appointment letters, letter from my landlord stating i will be back, anything from immigration, don't over pack, Never lie.
I have never had a problem getting in, most officers realize that when you are in a relationship you will visit your significant other but it is always good to bring stuff along and be prepared for the worst case.
Have return is always good too
