Yup very glad we made it! Wish we could have seen each other and talked while waiting. I got out around 8:30 and was also with the last batch that got interviewed late. But i think i did see you...were you asked by someone at SLEC if you just got immunized? I think that was you...hahaha...

Well, good luck on our interview! kicking.gif

I was wearing sleeveless...yellow gold tongue.gif nobody from SLEC asked me if i was immunized coz i was just waiting at the immunization area for my doctors go signal for VACCINE interview.....and i think i was the last person that was being interviewed because that was already 6:30 when the young doctor called me. She interviewed sooo fast laughing.gif then, directed me to the vaccines.Even if im sooo tired coz i was there at SLEC 2pm, I was called by Window B, I greeted him good evening with enthusiasm laughing.gif , he just asked me few questions and give me some instructions about the Xray film, it lasted 2 minutes and was out before 7:30. There are almost 30 - 40 people inside. If i guess it right you are that pretty lady who wear maong jacket hehehe....just guessing tongue.gif GOODLUCK ON YOUR INTERVIEW good.gif

Hey guys thanks for the quick response! I got my X-Ray results yesterday despite the very long wait (was nervous all the time!)! So looks like im negative! Yipee! The word negative never sounded so good now! Hahaha! biggrin.gif

Now, can i do my dance of joy now? Hahaha! kicking.gif kicking.gif kicking.gif

11 days to interview... good.gif

kicking.gif kicking.gif kicking.gif kicking.gif Good thing is YOU PASSED. Glad WE made it. I was there too. I was scared also because the nurse took my BP twice 140/100 and im 36 smile.gif and im PAYAT... smile.gif very high for my age. So, i was directed to go to my PE and the doctor in room#8 told me to relax and i waited for another 30 minutes each time and it caused delay. A total of 4x and my BP didnt go down sad.gif so, the doctor advised me to present a medical certificate the next day ohmy.gif stating that i will now have my medication. Ultimately, i was one of the last 10 persons who was given the immunization last Feb.29. ohmy.gif ohmy.gif it scared me a lot considering its almost 7pm. Thank God that the results are good.gif good.gif good.gif

PhilippinesPost “Approval”, Administrative Review/Document Verification Nightmare
QUOTE
[*]Do not be in to much of a rush to get documents to far in advance before the interview as they expire. When other unforeseen stuff happens you will want documents with expiration dates as far out as possible so get them as close to the scheduled interview as you can. Some take time to get so make sure to factor that into your timing.
[*]Follow the “updated” process for the Document Verification fee. Send the text, send the fax, call and email Delbros for verification of payment. Also, do this as soon as you get a record number from the Embassy and an interview date. You want this to be completed by the day of your interview. This is especially important if some of your fiancée’s documents are from a more remote Province where Document Verification will take even longer to process. Fortunately Delbros is pretty responsive with feedback.
[*]DO NOT schedule flights until your fiancé has the visa in hand, or at least please understand it could be a huge risk.
[*]Also do not expect too much from Grace or others that answer to the phone at the Embassy. They are not in any position of power or control. They can not get anything expedited, even if it was due to their or Delbros’ mistake. They have standard answers they give out, especially if your file is labeled “Administrative Review” in the computer. They will not supply anything concerning timing that you can plan your life around.
[/list] Thanks for listening and certainly Thank God for VJ. I can not imagine ever going through this process without VJ and the VJ community for help and support.

innocent.gif THANKS FOR THAT REMINDERS. Now i am worried about my fee in delbros... sad.gif im gonna call them on Monday if they got my fee last feb 1. I hope. Goodluck to you. I pray for the speedy delivery of your visa. GOD BLESS.

Hi Amy! Congratulations! God is soo goooodddd! Im glad you got your visa fast. I actually just posted a query on how fast does the passport and the visa arrive from the date of interview. Was counting yours and it only took 4 business for your passport and visa to arrive.! Yeah, that was fast!

May I know where it was mailed. I want to purchase my flight ticket already for Mar 21st and im just thinking maybe it might be too early for the delivery.. but considering the time of your delivery, it should only take about 4 days... so I should be receiving mine by thsi friday or worse, Monday, March 17..

Share me your thoughts on this one...

Considering that you live in Manila, you could probably received it very good.gif quickly but , there is no guarantee that you will. Its up to you if you will take the RISK. And , if the ticket you purchased has an option to change your departure date and costs normally $75 , it would be okay to buy your ticket. In our case, we agreed to have it after receiving the visa. At this moment, we are purchasing ticket via CONTINENTAL AIRLINES....

The key question here is how long was the H1-B overstay? If it was under 180 days you can apply for another H1-B (specialty occupation), B1/B2 (tourist / business), K1 (fiancee), and CR-1 (marriage). However, if it was over 180 days and under 360 days you have a 3 year ban on re-entry and a 10 year ban if over 360 days. That being said if you are facing a ban you are limited to a K1 or CR-1, at the cost of a successfully approved I-601 hardship waiver. Also the overstay is measured based on your I-94 and not the visa itself. See:

OK, in true Russia Forum style, it's time to take this thread off topic.....

Did you and your buddy "search the earth" together to find foreign wives, or was it just one of those things where you just happened to have a wife from the PI and he just happened to find his "true love" while she was here in the U.S. and since you had a foreign wife already he started asking you about his options?

(Not trying to get too personal here, just raising some points.)

First question: "SEARCH THE EARTH"? OUTCH.. headbonk.gif ..but, my answer is NOPE. no0pb.gif
Second question: I just happen to have an AMERICAN HUSBAND who happen to have a friend, who happen to find his "TRUE LOVE" as you quoted...hmmm...while she is working in the same company that they work for. tongue.gif
Third question: Since I am the foreigner here, he happen to ask me that question. yes.gif
And since, I always refer my inquiry in this site, I might as well, ask that topic here, knowing other VJ Family are kind enough to share what they knew based from experience.

Anyways, the bottom line of why I post my query is that to know what option the VJ Family can suggest. As you can read the thread, I should not be posting it in Russian Forum coz Ukranian has its own Immigration Law. offtopic45vn.gif but, i hope i answered your points. innocent.gif

Asia: East and PacificMY POE
Hello VJ Family,
kicking.gif kicking.gif kicking.gif I arrived Florida last Friday thru Continental Airlines whistling.gif . Its a long travel but very laughing.gif enjoyable, yes.gif exciting and for me its a new adventure. It is my first international travel and I am alone yes.gif.

I leave Manila at 10:55pm....at the airport, I paid 1620 at 6pm ahead of time coz CONTINENTAL did not open yet. I was so early coz i just wanted to be there early to avoid the hussle of unpredicted events. Around 7:30 as it opens, i was 3rd in the line and i made friends with some elderly who travels to Houston so, we agreed to meet at the exit to be together all the time. biggrin.gif

I got my boarding pass at the airport, I showed my passport and they ask me the purpose of my travel, heading to what state and ask me about my checked baggage. Then, proceed to the immigration area for security check up , I gave my passport and the boarding pass then, ask by the officer the address of my destination. Then, head to my gate. If you wanted to bring liquid like WATER, you can buy inside but ask for receipt coz at the gate, they will look for it . If you cant show them, you will have to drink it all or, leave it .

Im seated with 2 tourist couple. The flight is very nice and relaxing. My POE is GUAM. We went directly to the Immigration, I gave my passport and showed him my boarding passes and he asked me questions and asked for my packet and took me pictures then, directed me to a room. In there, they open up my packet and asked me questions and stamped my passport with a 90days duration. They staple the half of my I-94 form, {ASK THE 1-94 WHILE YOU ARE ON THE PLANE}, sometimes they forgot to give it . It was so easy and they are all nice and very accommodating and very friendly. There are Filipinos in the Immigration area, nothing to worry. Then, I proceed to the security area of inspection, then, on to the gate.

I arrived in HAWAII very relax . We go directly to the baggage area and got our baggage and checked it again and they told me that i can get that checked baggage in Florida. At the gate, they got my DECLARATION FORM which the airline attendant gave. We pass security check up again and got in the next connecting flight. Our flight from guam was delayed so, they hold our flight to HOUSTON. Everything went smoothly. Thank God.

In Houston, the airport is big...a little confusing but, just follow the arrow where you are heading. As i looked at the board, it shows flights and i looked for ORLANDO, got my gate 17....so far....i have to walk fast to catch up my flight boarding in 30mins. There are airport cars if you hate to walk but, i choose to walk though. When, i reached my gate, I am the only FILIPINO tongue.gif and i dont see familiar faces i have in my 3flights...i said bye to some of them along the way. I even helped some directed to their gates...Its really fun biggrin.gif .

I arrived in ORLANDO and Ronald meet me at the gate and got me a bouquet of flowers ....yes...at the gate. He got a pass since he worked in the airport yes.gif He is with a friend who worked in DELTA airlines...At the airport alone, my gosh...their friends welcome me....i have so many hugs already laughing.gif laughing.gif laughing.gif Thats it....I am now in the USA...thank GOD...VJ Family has really helped me a lot , and so, my turn to helped others as well on their journey that i have been.GOD BLESS YOU ALL.

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresCertificate of Employment

QUOTE (timcass_12 @ Mar 31 2008, 12:02 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Hi Everyone -

My husband's company doesn't provide a print out or hard copy of their employees Certificate of Employment. Hence, he's unable to provide me with one. He told me that at the time he requested for a copy of his COE, their HR just sent him an email that includes a contact number and company code to which the inquiry on employment verification can be done / requested.

My worry is if the print-out copy of this email will be accepted by USEM if in case they require me to present his COE. Along with this, my husband also sent me a copy of his Compensation Worksheet Management that reflects his immediate manager's name, his designation, the department he's assigned to and his annual compensation with additional details on the benefits he's getting. This is printed out using their company letterhead. I also have here the copies of his W2s from November 2007 to January 2008 plus his ITRs from 2005 - 2007.

Do you think this documents are enough to prove his employment? Your insights on this will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

timcass_12 star_smile.gif

For me that will be okay. Ronald got his Certificate of Employment In USCIS website coz the company wont give any also. Those things you mentioned are enough evidence that he is really working. Just be familiar with all his information though if in case the consul ask about his employment status. good.gif Goodluck.
