IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresMedical exam and Biometrics Questions
I we just got our NOA2, and i was wondering when we could go get his medical exam done. Also, My husband (Irish citizen) has a medical card, so his GP visits are free, would his medical card work for this Medical exam also?
I was also wondering when we should expect any contact about the biometrics, or do we have to figure that out on our own and call somewhere to make an appointment?

thank you!

U need the number to pay the bill. Either call and get the number or wait for the email to get it. I would really suggest waiting for the email. I got mine within 3 days. I spoke to around 10 people who all told me to wait for the email and we havn't had an issue. a couple more days really wont make that much of a difference and nothing will be valid until it's paid anyways.

Did you talk to an operator and give them your email addresses? If not, you need to do that, then they will email you within a few days. After that you can email them back the DS 3032, and pay your bill. I was told to wait until I received the email before doing anything, so that everything is properly in the system.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresBonifide relationship questions
I just got mine approved and for my evidence I had...
10 pictures (with descriptions and dates on the back) throughout our relationship
3 affidavits from people who had witnessed our relationship and attended our wedding (and no they are not LAME, they help and I have had many people advise me to ge 3 of them)
Copies of flight summaries (emails) of tickets of trips that we made together and to visit each other (and no it doesn't have to be an actual boarding pass)
A copy of a statement with our joint bank account in America and an investment I added his name too (it was very easy to put his name on my account)

Plus all the information required in the I130 packet. This INCLUDES the marriage certificate, so I don;t think it is bonafied evidence of your relationship, as all it states is that your married, nothing more, nothing less.

Yes she does make over 125% for her household size plus my husband, and she has had a steady job for the past 30 years. Do you think the forclosure will hurt us, even though she fits all the requirements?

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresDS 230 questions before sending in.
We have everything to send in the DS 230, but have a few questions about the form.

1. Are questions 19 and 24 refering to the beneficieries parents?

2. Question 30. is that all residences AFTER age 16 or can he list them from birth since he lived in the same house until 17?

3. Question 32. if there are gaps in employment do we have to explain why? and he is only 22 so he doesn't have 10 years of employment history. Also it asks what occupation he intends to work in the US, does that mean specific job or industry?

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresA few I864 Questions
I already checked, and I didn't make enough overseas to have to file. So, I don't have tax returns for 08 or 09, what do I put for question 25? Just 07 with an explanation as to why I didn't file for 08 or 09? and do you think this will effect things, even though we have a co-sponsor?

thanks

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresA few I864 Questions
I have a few I864 Questions. I am 24 years old and have only filed tax returns for 06 and 07 beacse those are the only 2 years which I have worked. Last year (09) I worked but it was in Australia. So, how do I fill out Question 25? And will I have to type out an explanation as too why I have only filed for the two years? I have a cosponsor, will this still effect the visa?

also, for question 21 C, It states to put 1 if you are married, yet I have already claimed my husband above, do I still put 1 or do I put 0 there?

Thanks!

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresPlease update your timelines and not just your profle "signature."
I went to that link (http://www.visajourn...tion=2&sortby=2) and my NOA2 date should be on it as I've always kept my timeline up to date and was approved a couple weeks ago, but it isn't. Maybe there are also some technical glitches?

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresThe best way to send pictures in?
I printed out 10 pictures of us in various different places and a few of our wedding. I labeled them with brief descriptions and dates on the back, put them in a baggy and paper clipped it to a piece of paper. That worked fine for me! good luck

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresWill I have to start over? :(
Errrrrr I HATE the USA!!!! This entire ###### visa process makes me never want to come back! I was able to just go to the Garda station in Ireland with our marriage certificate and within 10 minutes I had a visa to stay because we're married. I understand that the USA is a different country and has to have harder regulations to get in but my god the entire process is ridiculous. I know it could be worse, we could have children or whatnot and I know thousands of people are going through this but, this entire process is very frustrating. All the rules and caviates, it makes it so hard to live a normal life ;( We just want to be together. The USA makes it seem like a crime to love and marry someone who isn't from the US.
Sorry for the rant, I'm just very frusterated (as I'm sure anyone reading this can tell)

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresWill I have to start over? :(
I chose medical school in the Caribbean because I graduated with my BS 2 years ago, took the MCATS in September, didn't do that well, and will retake it the end of January, Medical schools in the Caribbean have lots of agreements with hospitals in the USA and as long as I go to an accredited school it's a little less competitive and can be slightly cheaper.
So there lies my question, would my partner be able to live with me in the Caribbean if we end up going through the entire process?

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresWill I have to start over? :(
So, I have a couple questions. Here is my situation.
My husband is from Ireland and I decided to move to Ireland to be with him while the visa process was taking place. Our NOA2 was approved April 29, and all of our bills have been paid. The only thing we haven’t sent in yet is our I-864 packet. We have been waiting because since I’ve been here, He has gotten his old job back, which is a really good job, so it was more logical to stay here while at least one of us was employed.
So my questions are these….
Do we have turn the I-864 package in before April 29, 2011 (a year after we were approved) or will we have to start the process over again if we wait any longer?
Also, I’m thinking about going to medical school in the Caribbean in September, if I do this and we have already gotten everything approved will he be able to go with me, or will he have to stay in the States?

Any answers would be very much appreciated! Thank you

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresWhat happends after Interview?
I googled it and found many different answers. Nothing seems up to date, or everything that does seem up to date is different than other things I've read. Some things state that the you can't leave the country for more than 6 months, some say a year, and nothing says how long these conditions last for.

Hi, I'm just trying to figure some stuff out. After the interview and everything is approved. what are the conditions? or where can I find that information (I've been looking and can't find it anywhere)
For example.....
how long do we have until we have to go back to the states after the interview?
How long to we have to stay in the states for, for a consecutive period of time?
in terms of paperwork where do we begin (is it called AOS?)

Thank you :)

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Proceduresi-864 Question
Hi, In the next week I'm going to send in my I-864 with my co-sponsors I-864, but I was wondering if we will need the tax returns for 2010 for this or if 07, 08, 09 will be fine. Also, I only have my tax returns for 07, 08 because I traveled the entire year of 09 and never worked and our accountant said I didn't need to file. Will I get an RFE for this?

Thank you

It's better to send it, than not. It's not like they're hard to come by. Better to be safe than sorry! I sent them in and we had no problems at all. Also, I'm not sure if you can send a personal check in it might have to be a cashiers check... might want to check that.
