PhilippinesOK NOW THINGS ARE GETTING FASTER
Ok i need some help. Im a married man of 19 years of age, i met my wife(shes 24 now) on facebook about 2 years ago, we dated on facebook for 10 months and then i went over to the philippines and we met and hit it off even more. We got married this january and she got pregnant, i stayed with her in her family for about 90 days. When i came back to America(alone) i started the cr1 process, ive recieved my noa2 already and have paid the ds-230 fees and the i-864 fees, as well as have completed both packages and sent them in. I called the national visa center and they said i filed the i-864 perfectly, but now they just need to review the ds-320 packet and then they will go from there. My wife is having the baby in 4 days and things have been going great, we chat on skype eevryday and everything is wonderful. My questions are, what now? Ive read many many articles on what comes next but id like to hear from some of you as to what the rest of the process is like. My wifes aunt married a canadian and she said her interview was cake, it took like 5 mins, but thats canada, the U.S. im sure is a lot stricter.

1.I know she still needs to get her medical examination, does she just call up the doctors in manila and ask for an appointment with a girl doctor for a immigrant visa examination? Will they set up the appointment hassle free?

2. is her having the baby going to set us back, we didnt mention it on the paperwork because we were told not to since the baby was not born yet, should she take the baby to the interview?

3.on the ds-230 i put that she was not going to be accompanied to the us and would go alone but i have since decided to go get her, will that be a problem?

4. how long in advance should she get her medical examination? i was told by the nvc not to set one up until we get the appointment date because the exam valitidty my expire b4 she has the interview and she would have to get another one. But what if we get the appointment letter and they are booked soilid and we cant get a exam in b4 the interview, i asked the nvc this question and they siad thats my responsibility to make sure that dosent happpen, but then they told me to wait, so what do i do?

5. she lives in southenr mindinao so its going to be costly to send her up there 2 times, do you think this can be done in one trip?

6. What if i cannot accompany her to the interview, do you think they will reject her, should she bring our professionally done wedding tape as part of evidence?

Thanks in advance!<3

PhilippinesHelp PLEASE:)
Ok me and my wife married in the Philippines and then after a couple of months i came back to the US and started filing paperwork for her visa during the time b4 i left i got her pregnant, she recently just gave birth to our babygirl<3 In December she finally has her visa interview. She applied for a passport but they would not give her one since she was married to me and had not yet attended a CFO seminar in Manila.(this was while she was still pregnant) She got a doctors note and they agreed to give her her passport early as she was pregnant and her doctor did not want her to travel. So when she passes her interview, can she just go to the CFO seminar really quick and attend the seminar then be set to leave to come to america? Where is this seminar, and do you need an appointment?

PhilippinesBirth Certificate
My baby is 2 moths old and cannot get a birth certificate till she is 3 months old. The day she turns 3 months old if my wife goes down and trys to get her a birth certificate how fast can she possibly get it.
Regan LMalePhilippines2012-12-10 21:48:00
PhilippinesA couple of very important questions!

If she was instructed to do so, then your wife should be able to get a copy right away, provided that NSO already recorded the child's birth.

Ask her if she filed for Advance Endorsement, if she did, then you have no worries.

she didnt but shes gonna in like 4 days
Regan LMalePhilippines2012-12-10 22:38:00
PhilippinesA couple of very important questions!

When a child is born at a hospital, after the mother/parent fills up the BC and the attending physician signs it, the hospital staff forwards the BC to the LCR of their area/municipality/city. The LCR stamps the BC and then forwards it to the NSO. The time between the LCR forwards it to NSO and NSO recording the birth takes 6 MONTHS. That's why I said that it will normally take 6 months before you can get your child's NSO BC.

Now, is there a way to speed up the process because you don't want to wait 6 months? Yes, you should file ADVANCE ENDORSEMENT of the child's BC at the LCR. That's what I did with my marriage certificate. I got my NSO MC in 2 months instead of the usual 6 months.

Can you still apply for Advance Endorsement now? Tell your wife to speak directly with an LCR officer if they can do something to speed up the NSO BC since you need it for CRBA.

The "online" thing you're referring to is the ordering of the NSO BC, right? If a person's BC is already registered at NSO and an NSO copy is already available, it will only take a few days to get/order a copy.

the nso told my wife to come back when the baby is 3 months old, so im confused, if she goes back when our baby is 3 months old like she said, how long will it take to get it then?

PhilippinesA couple of very important questions!
My wife lives in the Philippines, i live in America, recently her cr1 visa was approved:) they said all of her papers were good and they took her passport, early next month my wife and my 2 month old daughter will have a certificate of birth abroad appointment. My wife has all the documents needed for that appointment but im fairly sure she needs her passport for our daughters appointment but as i said b4 they took it. Also our daughter was already scheduled for a certificate of birth abroad appointment b4 but she was to young to have the NSO birth certificate she needed, she only had the one issued by the LCR(i believe thats the correct abbreviation. So they told her to make a new appointment and to come back when our baby is 3 months old and has received the NSO birth certificate. She was also planning to get her cfo stamp on her trip to manila for our daughter, how can she get that with no passport. So i have some questions. P.S. She lives at the bottom of the Philippines and i sent her to manila for the interview and i will send her back again for our daughters appointment. Also she has already attended the seminar and just needs to get the registering stamp in her passport.

1. How long does will it take for my wife to get her visa/passport by mail(she lives at the bottom of the Philippines)?

2.What if shes back in manila for our daughters appointment when her passport arrives at her house, will they give it to her brother that lives there?

3. How can she get her CFO stamp without her passport?(she has already attended the seminar and just needs to get the registering stamp in her passport)?

4. The 2nd my daughter turns 3 months old can she get her NSO birth certificate that day or is it going to take like a week or something?

5. Lastly, me and my wife were already married when she got pregnant with our daughter and we have all the required documentation asked for in regards to the certificate of birth abroad appointment, plus she now has been approved for her CR1 visa, will it be a problem if she goes alone to that appointment alone because i cannot leave work right now to attend said appointment with her?

THANK YOU TO ANYONE WHO HELPS:)

This is a repeat summary but i have a different question. My wife lives in the Philippines, i live in America, recently her cr1 visa was approved a couple of days ago:) they said all of her papers were good and they took her passport, in early january my wife and our 2 month old daughter will have a certificate of birth abroad appointment. Also she has already attended the seminar and just needs to get the registering stamp in her passport.

Im not sure if she will be able to get her passport in time so I want to reschedule her CRBA appointment so she has more time to get her passport back, the only thing thats stopping me is that during her interview for her cr1 visa, she showed the consular officer the appointment letter for liaras crba, and the consular officer wrote down the date as if it was important to my wife's case. Is it going to be a problem if we reschedule the appointment after the consular wrote it down? I think if i postponed the trip alittle so my wife would have time to receive her passport that would be perfect but, id hate to cuase problems if its written on my wifes files that she told the consular officer that appointment letter for our baby then didnt go on that date.

it's absolutely a legit site, ive used this site last year and did get my birth certificate.

ok i ordered the birth certificate, how do i pay for it, theres no place for a credit card number? also, my baby is only 2 months old and what if her name is not in the NSO data banks? I know its in the LCR databanks but im not sure if its in the NSO's

Then she may not be required for DNA coz like u said u are already married to her.

i thought with just the via alone it would be ok. like seriously, that proves we are married and together on the day of our marriage. And she had untrasound pics to show she got pregnant after our wedding. So with her Spousal visa, isnt that irrefutable?

Then she may not be required for DNA coz like u said u are already married to her.

my main point is that i dont want them to request a dna test because that would cost lots of time and money i dont have when i know that that is my daughter
Regan LMalePhilippines2013-01-26 00:20:00
PhilippinesCertificate of Birth Abroad

I just went through getting a CRBA myself in December. The best advice I can give if you want to avoid the DNA test is bring as much evidence of your relationship as possible. It may have helped that I was also present for the interview. Either way I will list everything I provided. I would also like to point out that conception occurred before my marriage(but after engagement), but due to my compelling evidence I was not ordered for a DNA test.

I provided for evidence:

Receipt of engagement ring
Passport stamps showing I had been in the country a significant time before and after conception(since you cant be there have her bring a photocopy of the pages showing this)
Medical records documenting the estimated date of conception(ultrasound pictures from 10 weeks, 5months, and 7 months all giving the same estimate within a few days and maternity records)
A series of approx. 10 pictures of me and my wife in various places which took place before conception(placed in chronological order). Im not sure he even looked at them.

I presented everything in a very organized manner. I honestly thing the biggest factor is going to be how comfortable and relaxed she seems to the CO. If she seems really nervous they start suspecting something may not be accurate. She will also want to be sure that she brings evidence that you qualify to give the baby citizenship. I didnt have any of this with me(didnt expect this when I packed my bags to go see my baby girl born) and MOST of my interview was him confirming I had resided at least 5 years within the US. I over-provided information to every inquiry which reassures him it is genuine. He actually cut me off at one point and said "ok ok thats good enough". Now the guy I had was serious about his interview but they are people too and a few simple injections of humor really opened him up and he was more personable. At the end of the interview he just told me "ok its all set" and at that point I had to ask "so is there going to be a need for a DNA test?" and he just told me "no I believe you are the father". So I'd conclude that its really what you say and how you present the answer that it has to really convince him. Be sure your wife appears confident, not fidgeting or nervous.

If you plan to apply for the passport at the time the CRBA is applied, if you are not present she will need a notarized "Statement of consent or special circumstances: issuance of a passport to a minor under age 16" DS-3053. Without permission from both parents, they will NOT process the passport application(I had this happen to me because while my wife was present she doesnt have an ID that the embassy would acknowledge). I signed the CRBA, but the passport still not done until I go back in feb.

If they do order the DNA test, she and the baby could head to st. lukes and get swabbed while still in town. You could then go to an approved facility near you(they have a list somewhere I dont recall where though) to be swabbed and then they'll put the results all together in st. lukes. I know this takes time but if they order the DNA test nothing else can be done at that point.

i have everything you said plus other things, its weird because i even have the wedding ring reciept too. All the important documents are notarized and i have already gotten the statement of consent signed and notarized. Plus she already has her spouse visa with me, and we were married when we had Liara our daughter.

PhilippinesCertificate of Birth Abroad

I went home to give birth in the Philippines and did my son's CRBA without my husband's presence. I got approved and no DNA.

As long as the consul is satisfied with all the documents presented then there will be no DNA required.

Medical records and other pre=natal proofs is very important

I have all the requirements and tons of other documentation plus my baby is white just like me, much lighter than her mom. I thought the fact that she just got her cr1 visa would prove for sure that we were married and had a relationship.

The fact that you were married before helps. Rather than pics, show proof you were there around the time of conception (creidt card statements, boarding passes etc).

Plus i don't have the money to keep sending my wife to Manila because she lives in Southern Mindinao.

Do you think they will still approve her if im not there if my wife has:
1. Every requirement requested on the Certificate of Birth Abroad Checklist
2. Pics of us together as a couple from throughout our time together in the Philippines.(We were married b4 she got pregnant)
3. Her approved CR1 visa
4. Her CFO seminar stamp on her passport

Yes. They will approve. I myself did the whole CRBA process while my BF-the USC, is not physically in the PI. We were not asked for a DNA test. Just need to make sure that all documents that needs to be notarized are notarized. Bring originals AND photocopies of the documents needed. for the passport, make sure to bring the statement of consent form - notarized.

Added info: have your wife apply for a PI passport when she's in Manila - to document the dual citizenship and to "get away" with the exit fee and all other "penalties".
Also, your wife can apply for your baby's SSN.

Turn arount time for the CRBA and PI Passport - ~3-4 weeks
PI Passport - (if rush) ~2 weeks
SSN - ~1 week

good luck!

BTW, pretty much how it is with Caucasian/Filipino children.

Just complete the form to be safe.

Again not trying to be offensive to say, it could be some other "white guys" baby. Just because it's "whiter" than her and every Filipino in any pictures" doesn't prove the kid is yours just that it's possible SOMEONE with anglo blood impregnated her. Could have been your brother who doesn't have US citizenship so you're helping him out by helping his wife and child get to the US. Seriously, don't play the "but the baby looks white" card.

well theres no time to include the form, thats why im wondering if i need it. well how does anyone prove the kid is theres without a dna test? Ive herd people pass them without dna tests, i dont know how rare that is.

YES she WAS conceived IN wedlock, so do i need the “Affidavit of Paternity and Support” (DS-5507)? I wont be at the interview, only my wife. I sent my original birth certificate like you said. i also am having her bring more photos of her b4 and after pregnancy. Btw my baby is whiter than her and every filipino in any pictures i see my daughter in, we skye every day and her eyes are dramatically wider than a Filipinos eyes would be.

Sounds like they lacked the ability to establish a biological relationship with the child/applicant and the claimed U.S. citizen parent. I doubt it had anything at all to do with "crooked people trying to break the rules before you.' By the way who's the crooked people? The US citizen parent(s) trying to establish 'Blood Relationship' with the child? You sound ignorant of the process.

my main and only consern right now is if a “Affidavit of Paternity and Support” (DS-5507) is required, they will have my notarized passport with entry and exxit stamps, and my original birth certificate. theres no way i could have left the states without a passport and i was born in the us so i have to have resided in the US, plus i couldnt have got my wifes CR1 visa if i didnt reside in the US
