US Citizenship General DiscussionN-400: May 2010 Applicants
The mis-information line was not very helpful. I called today since I haven't received Biometrics notice yet and they said I have to wait 30 days after I receive the NOA and if 30 days have passed and haven't received Biometrics notice then to call them back again. What a waste of time ! Any body with DO as Philly having to wait for their Biometrics letter ?

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionI-751 Documents
Did you guys send the documents (mortgage statements, checking account statements, utility bills) for the past two years since the Green card approval or for 6 months. I have all the documents for 6 months except the auto/home insurance which was for two years.

I certainly see and understand a lot of the advice regarding covering the entire span of the marriage, but given that, it still seems to me, submissions should emphasize current proof the marriage is ongoing and genuine. Just my two cents and how I plan to weight our submission.

I think your list looks great! Good luck!

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionI-751 Petition Filed at CSC
Hi,
I thought the children table in I-751 is for children who might have obtained the permanent residence through the same person. I am going to leave it blank, since she was born here and didn't get permanent residence when I obtained.

Hello VJers!

I mailed off my I-751 petition to the USCIS California Service Center yesterday (5/1/09) using Express Mail at the local USPS post office, requesting delivery confirmation and a return receipt so I'll know for sure when my package arrived.

My petition plus all the evidence totaled to a three-inch high, 3lbs 11oz monster. Here's a breakdown of all that I sent (I basically just cut and pasted this list from my cover letter):

  • Check for $545
  • Cover letter giving a breakdown of all the evidence
  • I-751
  • Attachment to I-751 for Part 3, item 9 listing my legal permanent residences since obtaining conditional resident status
  • Form AR-11 Change of Address electronic confirmation
  • I-551 Permanent Resident Card (front and back)
  • Kansas Drivers Licenses – Myself and my spouse
  • Birth Certificates of our two children
  • Baptism certificates of our two children
  • Proof of joint ownership of our house
  • Deed
  • Mortgage loan application
  • HUD-1 settlement statement
  • Title insurance policy
  • Statement from moving company (signed by my spouse)
  • AmTrust Bank mortgage statements
  • WellsFargo mortgage statements
  • County's yearly property valuation statements (2008 & 2009)
  • Home warranty policy we got from our sellers

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionI-865
Hi All,
I am a conditional permanent resident and my wife is my sponsor. I filed AR-11 when we moved, but forgot to send in the I-865 for change of address of my wife. It's been more than a year now since we moved and I have recently sent my Removal of Conditions. Do you guys think it would be ok if I send in the I-865 now or has there been any cases of penalty given by the USCIS for not filing I-865. Any response would be greatly appreciated.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionI-751 reminder letter from USCIS
I moved and then filed the AR-11 and also changed the address with USCIS online (https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=coa). Received the reminder to remove conditions in our new address. I also remember getting a letter once I did the USCIS change of address online stating that they have updated all of my AOS applications (130,485, 131 and 765) with this new address.

We have moved also and just got the reminder letter at our OLD address. Hubby was pissed and frustrated. I went online to file another AR-11, wrote down the new confirmation number, and came on here to see if anyone else had some info. I hope this won't hurt us when we apply to lift conditions at the end of the month!

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionI have a huge doubt!!!
You are correct. Unless your country of origin (Peru) has some visa regulations with Scotland, where you could walk in then you can just go with your green card. If not, you need to apply for a visa before hand. This all changes once you have your American citizenship and American passport, then you wouldn't need a visa to visit scotland. Check out http://www.scotland....visa-passports/ for more information.

Hello
I don't know if this is the correct place to ask this question. I got my conditional green card in July of this year. I am extremely happy because i won't deal with UCSIS for the next 2 years. My husband is American (obviously) and his parents are Irish. He plays the drums in a bagpipe band and next year he and the band are going to Scotland to compete in the world's bagpipe bands competition. He's very excited to participate there, his parents are going also and my husband wants me to go with him.....NOW, I have a conditional green card but I am Peruvian. Do I need to apply for a visa to go to Scotland, even though I have an American gren card? My husband and his parents told me I don't need a visa, only my green card but they don't understand that even though I have a green card, I am still Peruvian....can anybody help me with this???? Thank you so much in advance good.gif

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionDo we have to remove conditions?
From your signature, it looks like you have been married for less than two years. If that's the case, then the green card must have been a conditional one (where you remove conditions after 2 years). They must have made a mistake approving you for 10 year card instead of 2 year one. The same thing happened to me and then I filed I-90 along with a cover letter explaining that I must have been approved for a conditional green card. I also attached the marriage certificate to prove that we were married for less than two years. I entered in the I-90 where it's because of USCIS error. I sent the I-90 off along with original green card (kept a copy of the green card with me). I don't remember exactly how long it took, probably about 2-3 months for them to send a letter acknowledging the mistake and then a 2 yr card.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionForgotten to file AR11, now have to file I-751
I think you should file AR-11 now. Better late than never!. Also I was in the same situation with I-865, where I didn't know about it. Once I found out that I need to file I-865 even though it was about 6 months after we had moved, I filed the form. I got a NOA acknowledging the I-865 and never had any problems so far. I think you should file the I-865 now.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsApril Filing NOA1 Question
I don't know much about I-129F, but a word of caution. The Numbers written on the back of the check don't always match up with what you get as NOA number in your letter. It happened to me, when my case numbers for my AOS on the back of my checks were different than the numbers in the NOA.
