4th - I remember I gained 7 lbs when i was with him last year - With all the workout of a new husband's arrival, believe me hun, either you will both be fat from eating together (lol) or you will lose a ton of weight from all the travelin and walking together.

5th- I don't think either of you will have any problems with being intimate - it has been a long journey and the relief of it all will relax both of your minds - just not right now cause you haven't seen him yet. When you are together, it will all flow....smile.gif

Yes, best not to make plans, you should enjoy a relaxing lunch and have a wonderful day of no priority except erasing all of the trauma from your minds. The journey is over! A new one begins.

These people are crazy. As some of you might know, husband had his interview on May 29. They have his passport in hand. Now today they called him and asked him to come back tomorrow to do his fingerprints. He already did this at the interview. mad.gif Has anyone had this happen before? Anyone know why?

They like him to speak English so they know you both can communicate with each other...But, if you both speak French, he just needs to tell them that. They will (usually) ask him what language he wants to do the interview in. If you have the time, I would spend some time practicing up on his English - just to be on the safe side.

I would be calling them daily to inquire about the expedite. Explain that you have had no response. Have you told your Senator and Congressman that you have not heard from her in 2 weeks? Keep calling them too. This sounds serious and they can easily call the servicing center to find out what the status is on the expedite.

This is what i do and it's worked great I got my checking account and added her as my wife(shows proof of relationship) I then gave her a debit card and when she needs money she pulls it right out of our account with a predeetermined limit a month. She keeps the reciepts to show proof of me supporting her. The only negative i can think of is the machine charges me a dollar pertransaction...but I used to send WU but it can be slow and unreliable so this has worked for three months and God allows will be only a few more months and then we are done...but maybe we leave card there with her family so the can get at cash from her when needed just seems easier as long as you trust.

Oh yes, a much cheaper way until they figure out how to stop it. Open a second account at your bank and link it to your checking account. Have the debit card placed on foreign status and get it to her (don't use RP postal service). to send money, just log in online here and transfer money to that account. Tell them not to leave a $0.00 balance so the account will remain open. Next week marks 1 year and this is still working for me.

Your so right about the costs my phone bills alone for the first two months back was over 500 a piece! Yahoo messenger was just not doing it for me. Then i discovered skype! WOW...now i know!...nothing new for some of you...however I left my wife with a lap top then i have her connected using globe as her internet and we now can see each other and talk unlimited time for free! WOW...I can't help and wonder how people did this ten years ago and not have this service... sad.gif This has made all the difference in the world casue I told my wife I will pay for the internet and her sisters electricity if she would consider her job is talking with me and she does this. So we talk in her evening which is my morning of course 5am until 730am then I go to work. I get home around 6pm so we talk from 630pm-midnight. So we are majorly growing in our realtionship even though I'm not there...So to anyone not using skype...it is so worth it but i know to get the ultimate use out of it you both need a computer and have access to the internet and the best service is to have unlimited internet at a monthly fee. Using Smart and paying by the hour is still expensive. Hope this can help someone...

Let's not forget to mention our daily costs to keep in constant communication (PLDT phone cards to call him during my lunch break and MagicJack at nights & weekends). Rick flips his schedule around at nights and the weekends so he could be with me while I was awake. He is very devoted and I feel blessed that he is who he is. Of course, all this staying up nights while trying to maintain his regular work schedule & home errands is finally catching up with him...he hasn't been feeling well for a number of weeks now, and I am afraid that if we are not home with him soon, he will be in worse shape.

Actually I am going at chrismas for two weeks. I teach high school so I get two weeks off I have already been there two times(21 days each time over the summer) since we got married and it's been a year since we were introduced...so patience is wearing out a little bit...but we just want to get on with our new lifes here in America... I understand the pains of K-3, but to us its ok cause we are genuine so thats not the problem. But seriously if it's just as fast I'm for it..when do we have to make decision by? We just submitted our I-130 in August and then our I-129 in September so is it to late? Thanks again for all your positive remarks everyone! smile.gif

right now some cr1 takes faster unlike before...it really depends on your documents and how fast you process your papers...

if money is not important for you then just go visit her in the philippines and get know her more and her family...

Just a few reasons why to go with the CR-1. If you are eligible for a IR-1 then you would be nuts going with a K3!
The K3 has to adjust status which cost $1010 + $131 visas application fee.

Have to go thru the cost and hassles of getting a I-693 also.

K3 normally has to do biometrics and have a AOS interview. Time off from work cost the petitioner. PLUS the hassles of submitting the paperwork and going for the interview. Tain’t fun.. Especially if denied or questioned. Ever done a Stokes interview?
That’s the second interview if they are in doubt of your relationship.
Also a possibility of being deported. Yeah doesn’t happen much but it happens.

K3 has to wait about 90 days after they file to get EAD or GC so they can get SSN.
Can’t do a LOT of things without SSN. Like work or get a drivers license in some states.

Some K visas don’t get GC for a LONG time.

If petitioner goes belly up before you get GC you stand a chance of being deported.
If the petitioner loses his/her job after the interview you don’t have to worry about getting a co sponsor to adjust status!
CR-1 cost about $470
Get their GC and SS card in the mail within 6 weeks of arrival.
No biometrics , dealing with civil surgeons, AOS interviews, going to SSA for SS card.
I’m sure I’ve missed a few things.
Bottomline is anyone that goes with the K3 the way things are now are masochist!
Yeah I did but at that time K3s were a LOT faster. That’s not the case anymore.

WOW!! you are really moving along Man I wish you all the luck in the word!...then maybe some will come my way...lol Anyway I filed my I-130 Aug 31, and I got my NOA-1 on the 16th of September they sent it to me on the 9th. I then mailed my I-129 in on the 18th of Sept, they recieved it on the 22nd of septmber and I got my NOA-1 on 29 of sept. So at present I am patiently waiting on my NOA-2. [b]How is everyone else doing who has filed in this time period? It shows on the USCIS site that my paperwork was last touched on 23 Sept. I pray that it wont be much longer we were married June 17th and it seems much longer ago as you can imagine I'm sure. Anyway take care sorry for long post but I wanted to get my info out so we can compare...
