I can't believe how fast it is approaching and no I'm not ready at all. Not really doing any thing this year on the present front. I give all year to my family and friends and they will be alright. I told Den he has the greatest gift of all, me!

I wish I could use that line but our anniversary is the day after, so I guess I gotta find something to give this man! lol

Hey yall

KJ congrats on the Posted Image
Mrs P congrats on the Posted Image

That is so great to find out what you are having. 1luv and I wanted to wait but the anticipation was breaking us.

Mo make sure you consult with the doctor but also consult with your gut. As women we know when we are doing to much and overdoing it all. If you dont feel right even if the dr says ok go to JA, then trust yourself.
Can your son go with your hubby? and you stay behind if that is your decision? Get some me time
Im praying for you. I was spotting also, but the dr said it was a little but I thought it was alot
Theres a difference between spotting and bleeding thats when you should get worried, so Im glad you said spotting~! which can be sometimes as little as a to rough sexy party
Love you Mo Mo take care.

Go TEE congrats on your card!!!!! We have to do the AOS in 6 months not looking forward to that!

Always Sorry you feeling bad huh! God Bless

Hey Jess, Im sed you my address for my Xmas card.

Good evening ladies! Hope all are well! :star:

Always- you still holding on to that baby?!? How are you holding up? (L)

Mo- Hope you feel better soon. I can understand about your apprehension about travelling, especially when you're worried and not feeling your best. Hope all turns out well at the doctor. Keep us posted and take care of yourself and your baby! (L)

Mrs Tee- congrats on the GC!

Jess- Hang in there girl...remember at the end of every storm there is a rainbow. Take it easy! (F)

To everyone else, hope you all are blessed. Don't forget to love on those around you.

Hey ladies hope all is well haven't been on much just got a lot going on

Hey jess, im still waiting to see where to buy my car seat covers....

Mo. yes these man can be insensitive at times. Don't I know it first hand. I hope everything will be just fine. Keep the doctor informed of everything and keep yourself a journal. That will help you recall information. Trip to JA. Be safe and get a copy of your medical info from you OB to take with you, just in case.

Tee-- don't it feel like a weight is lifted off of your shoulders? Girl I know the feeling.

Yes especially since I only have 16 days of employment left... I needed to know where my 1010 was spent at LOL

Two of my bosses are taking the entire purchasing department (my dept) out for lunch at this fancy Italian restaurant.. That was nice since out of 6 people that are retiring 4 are from the purchasing department :star:

I'm smiling at what you said about me and Palmer wanting a boy/girl...
And oh yes my boy sure has quite some options with all theses vj baby girls on the way. Hubby insists that it shouldn't be spelled Aidan but Aiden
So I said ok honey, but he doesn't pay attention to deails anyway so when it's time to name him, I won't even be worried :star:

Lilla did awesome!

I was thinking the same thing about Always' baby, showing off her Jamaican colors already by being late.

Oh boy, 49.9?
Well I hope VK makes some more of that okra juice in Jamaica and you come back knocked up! :star:

Whispering... I hope she does too LOL

Thanks Always! My doctor just called & said come in later. So that's good.
I'm sure I can use ticket @ a later date. However hubby is so excited to go back & see his son & of course my son is bragging in school about heading to JA. I've already made it clear that I will be @ the house in JA watching tv & relaxing. HOPEFULLY things will be ok on the trip but feeling like I am @ only 12wks just makes me think about the "what ifs" while in JA.

Mo, Im sorry to hear this and I hope everything is alright! Keep us posted.

Hi ladies! Well, we had our ultrasound appt today. First of all let me tell you that this baby is something else! Barely stayed still long enough to get any pictures taken or to check all of the organs! Everything checked out though, except that I have to go back in two weeks because while they could see the heart & it beating, they weren't able to get a good look at all the ventricles, so they want me to come back so they can try and get a better view. This child was flipping, turning, waving, and ducking from the time the wand was put on my stomach! And finally sat still for about 10 seconds long enough for us to see that WE'RE HAVING A GIRL! You know, I was so hooked on the idea of having a boy (I wanted to be the only lady in the house! ) before, but as soon as the technician told me, I was ecstatic! That poor lady earned her paycheck today! She said she had seen 3 other babies that day and ours was the busiest! :bonk: I'm just thankful that things are going well...my husband was in shock (he honestly thought he would never have a girl) and my mother was laughing!

Cause momma knows what you put her through, now you are going to get it back ten-fold even if you did "think" you were an angel

Hi duppies down there

I had to call back the genetic counselor and ask if she was sure, she said in all her 13 years of practice, no one ever called back to ask if she's sure
But she caught me off guard when she called because I was on the phone with my boss when I saw her number and hung u on my boss :bonk:
So she asked, do you want to know so I said yes.
She asked what do I think so I told her I wish its a girl but my heart tells me it's a boy so she said follow your heart! I bust out :crying: :crying:
But it was both tears of joy to finally know and tears of a bit of disappointment. But I'm happy, very happy to know I'm having a baby boy
Can't wait to look at him in awe. Me and hubby finally agreed on Aidan and he promised not to mention music or tattoo anymore :D

I have faith that all will be well and what works better than prayer :star:

You know they say dreams doesn't come straight, well Jamaican ppl say that. For instance, if you dream of a funeral, you'll be attending a wedding. So the girl you saw was a boy, lol.

I thought I'd be upset but I'm not, I actually like the idea of having a boy now.
Smiley don't need no hugs, gimme all of it! :star:

Oh, and let me give my testimony about the goodness of the Lord! (don't wanna offend if you don't believe, but I gotta let yall know that God is always working!) :star: My mom has been a mentor and strong supporter to one of her coworkers for several years now. This lady has come to rely on my mother like family, and has dealt with alot with my mother's help. Well anyway, she asked my mother to let her keep her car in my mother's backyard at the beginning of the summer because she was going to visit her own mother in Ohio. She stayed there the entire summer. And when she came back, she still didn't pick up the car. Instead she bought a new car, and one of her coworkers approached her about buying her car. Well, about 2 weeks ago my mother and I were discussing helping my husband to get a car soon (gonna need it w/ the baby on the way) and I asked her to ask the lady if she would sell it to us. My dad who works on cars and knows several mechanics have checked it out. Its a nice 1st time car. Not way too many miles, runs good, and is in good physical condition. Well, my mother asked her if she'd be willing to sell it to us instead, and lo and behold she called my mother a couple of days ago and said that she was not going to sell it to us--she was going to GIVE IT TO US! Because of how supportive my mother has been, and how we've all treated her well and like family! The car is totally paid for! So we should be getting the title next week!  I'm telling you God is working everyday!

Well Amen! That is a great testimony. Isn't it a blessing when things just come together in your life? Hubby, job, baby, car! You go Mrs. P!!! I couldn't be happier for you and yes God is sooooo good! I hope you continue to receive your blessings :)

Mrs. P -- that's wonderful reminds me of my parents and things people have done for her/us because she has done so much for others. Almost a similiar story to how we got hubby car -- we had already gave her (stranger) a downpayment and she gave us the keys and the car; a few days later my grandmother passed and I told her I would settle the bill when I return from Jamaica. She REFUSED to take anymore money from us and I said, no I don't feel right, we have to pay you some more -- she said, I'm only going to tell you one time. I just stood on her front steps and didn't know what to do except to say THANK YOU! Come to find out years ago and I mean years ago -- her car broke down somewhere in PG county and it was late at night she was with her young kids and no one was stopping to help her -- she said my father appeared out of nowhere, got her car started, followed her to make sure she/car made it home safely and it was a good thing because the car shut off again. When my father came to test drive the car she was selling (she remembered) but didn't put it all together until I told her I was going to Jamaica. She said she remembered the man that helped her had a heavy Jamaican accent. ... still give me chills

so, HOW BB doing and don't reveal my nickname or we'll be boxing -- I'm not afraid to fight a PREGNANT WOMAN (((((((((chups)))))))))

That's great too Tre!!!

Just wanted to come through and wish everyone a wonderful weekend and beautiful day!

Good morning Always *Pushing her out the VJ door, praying she goes into labor*!!!

Mexico, Latin & South AmericaYardies at home and a farrin, Part 27!

i like the breakdown of how ppl met thier hubby or wife. can i share mine.... i had been single for almost 8 years it was 2005, i just left a church i had been going to since i was 19. so it was a tumultuous time. that and I was unemployed. I just retrained to teach adults and the manager where i was didnt like me because i trained her, and she couldnt take it that I was better at it than her( weird nervous little woman who claimed to have been bullied because she was gay in her last job) so i left, and happilly too. i worked for about a month and then up rolled september, then november, then december.. lol all this time i remember talking to my friend saying "i feel so excited and i dont know why" . I remember praying and just getting the drop that in two years i'm gonna meet my husband.that was 2006

I was going online at first looking for love, then i gave up by 2007 after all the gits that i met up with, players, ppl who just wanted sex. I used to go into a chat room to talk and have a laugh on yahoo. It got shut down and they all migrated to another chat client. whilst there i started talking to a few ppl, one dude with the longest name i was like who dis. we got to talking at first i thought hmm maybe but he was dating someone. so we just remained friends. all that year 2006 i was dating, so was he. we on the phone chatting. then we found ourselves free. We continued to chat, I put it out of my mind that he could be it, but that whole year from january new years day i knew, and kept on telling my friends and even him " this is the year i'm meeting my husband"

well to cut a long story short, it was about may that we realised something was going on, by june he knew i was for him, and by august i went over to meet him in Michigan and we both knew. three days later he proposed to me in the kitchen lol..... very informal.

it was two years exactly. I'm glad i met all those players because even if my husband gets on my last nerve i know what it took to get him.

ok soppy bit over..... back to fassing inna ppl bidness

yayyyyyyyyyyy nice story! (F)

*UPDATE*

I discovered that my Congressman's Constituent Services Office is literally across the street from my work. :wow:

I just walked into their office, looked the lady in the eye, told her my story and handed her all the paperwork she needs to make a formal inquiry.

Praying this helps!!

Forgive Them Father

Lord please take a moment
To hear my plea today
I heard some hateful things
And for the speaker let me pray

I say forgive them Father
For they know not what they do
Forgive them and allow him
To show them he is true

For I do not doubt a minute
And I do not regret a day
They may have doubts of him
But, my mind they cannot sway

YOU have made me know
That happiness is real
It's YOU that speaks through him
It's YOU who made me feel

My heart is numb no more
And only you could cure it
Through the angel that you sent me
You showed me I deserve it

They may never understand
So many people never find
A love that is so perfect
A love that is divine

So I ask you to forgive them
If they doubt he could be true
Forgive them for they know not
They know not what they do…

I like it. Lauren Hill has a song called "Forgive them Father" here are the lyrics:

Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those that trespass against us
Although them again we will never, never, never trust

Dem noh know weh dem do, dig out yuh yei while dem sticking like glue,
Fling, skin, grin while dem plotting fah you,
True, ah who???

Forgive them father for they know not what they do
Forgive them father for they know not what they do

Beware the false motives of others
Be careful of those who pretend to be brothers
And you never suppose it's those who are closest to you, to you
They say all the right things to gain their position
Then use your kindness as their ammunition
To shoot you down in the name of ambition, they do

Forgive them father for they know not what they do
Forgive them father for they know not what they do

Why every indian wanna be the chief?
Feed a man 'til he's full and he still want beef
Give me grief, try to tief off my piece
Why for you to increase, i must decrease?
If i treat you kindly does it mean that i'm weak?
You hear me speak and think i won't take it to the streets
I know enough cats that don't turn the other cheek
But i try to keep it civilized like menelik
And other african czars observing stars with war scars
Get yours in this capitalistic system
So many caught or got bought you can't list them
How you gonna idolize the missing?
To survive is to stay alive in the face of opposition
Even when they comin' gunnin'
I stand position
L's known the mission since conception
Let's free the people from deception
If you looking for the answers
Then you gotta ask the questions
And when i let go, my voice echoes through the ghetto
Sick of men trying to pull strings like geppetto
Why black people always be the ones to settle
March through these streets like soweto

Like cain and abel, caesar and brutus, jesus and judas,
Backstabbers do this

Forgive them father for they know not what they do
Forgive them father for they know not what they do

It took me a little while to discover
Wolves in sheep coats who pretend to be lovers
Men who lack conscience will even lie to themselves, to themselves
A friend once said, and i found to be true
That everyday people, they lie to god too
So what makes you think, that they won't lie to you

Forgive them father for they know not what they do
Forgive them, forgive them
Forgive them father for they know not what they do
Forgive them, forgive them

Gwan like dem love while dem rip yuh to shreds,
Trample pon yuh heart and lef yuh fi dead,
Dem a yuh fren who yuh depen pon from way back when,
But if yuh gi dem yuh back den yuh mus meet yuh end,
Dem noh know wey dem do,
Dem no know, dem no know, dem no know,
Dem no know, dem no know wey dem do

I hear Quana sangin this part lol

Girl, tell me about it!!!

I was soooo freaking done with men when I met my honey.
The last person I dated here in the US had some kind of double life going on for REAL.

He would disappear for days on end, never take me to his house, turn off his phone whenever we were together

The red flags were EVERYWHERE!!
And he used to tell me all the time I was paranoid,
I was the one making issues when there was nothing to be concerned about. cha!

I also saw so many players in Jamaica the 9 years I had been vacationing there...
I always said I would NEVER get involved in a LDR with a yardie...

Never say never...

He is everything I never knew I needed, and not once in all this time has he given me any reason to doubt his love is anything but 100% real. Always have his phone on, take me straight to his mothers grave the first time I went back. Make me talk to all his family and anyone who passes by know sey I'm his "wifey". He wear that promise ring like a badge of honor.

Okay DW, look what you got started

Imma stop now :luv:

Funny you are talking about this because I hadn't been in a committed relationship for 7 years before I met my hubby.. Now don't get me wrong a sista had need therefore getting my freak on was cool beans. My oldest also had some deep issues which is why I went on hiatus from committment because he needed me more. I kept reassuring all my friends that marriage wasn't for me although I knew I had what it took to be a wife, but I wasn't feeling it at all. Now I went on my regular June JA trip and when I met hubby, I didn't take him seriously at all. Even when he gave me his number my thought was okay, I done made a friend who I can kick it with when I go to JA. I even called when I got home but mustve dialed the wrong number, so I balled it up and threw it in the trash  . The next day my MIL called me and left me a message to call her. She was in NYC working. I was scared of her because I didn't think she knew my age and I just knew when she found out she was going to have a problem with it.. Surprisingly she didn't. He kept calling every other day telling me he loved me and I would just respond, "Yeah alright, take care bye" From then on we were on a whirlwind..(F)

When I met Kaci I new very quickly that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her. She is the warmest, sweetest, careing, beautiful woman I have ever met. I am so lucky to have found her and I would have gone through this process a hundred more times, if it meant that I would get to wake up beside her for the rest of my life.

:crying: :crying: Just beautiful

Jap.. its just down right disgraceful...turn about is fair play. I hate to see people who hold the power over peoples destinies just act so blaise blaise about it.. It's just sickening.. Maybe its time for some Obeah
No but seriously, it disgusts me. We need to just say a massive Yardie prayer for you and keep believing that things will turn around for good.. Everyting in God's time so when its right, you will have what you need and be where you need to be... (F)
