Can't believe Sunday will be a year already. He has to plan the events or what we are doing on our actual anniversary day I am planning for when he has off from work on the 30th and the 1st. I have to tell you guys if you don't book your hotel on priceline you really should look into it and name your own price. I just booked a 4 star hotel for $50 a night in downtown St Louis. Then we are going to go to a Cardinals game one of the nights. Hope he likes it because if not I am going to have a BLAST!!!! None of us want to be here.. Speaking of Disney... since everyone has so much love for it...let's have a Disney Yardie link up. They even have a hat that is Mickey ears with dreds and beads. Ok so I know it's expensive, but they are offering free food if you stay in one of their hotels. I'm just trying to get a link up going where I don't have to travel. lol Can you recommend a hotel? Mexico, Latin & South America	Yardies at home and a farrin, Part 27!	Good Morning All, Hope everyone is doing well. Hope everyone had a great weekend as well. Is anyone a nurse on here? I currently have my BA in Business/Human Resources and work as a Workers' Compensation Specialist, However, I been wanting to get my Nursing Degree, with the hours I work this has made it difficult for me to persue it. However, I am signing up for a Medical Assistant program that is 9 mnths long it will start next month and then I am looking to transfer into the RN program immedately following which I have been told is not a problem by several people at different schools. I just wanted to get a perspective from a nurse's standpoint if this would be a good move because I remmeber several years back you had to do the LPN and then RN after the Medical Assistant program and believe you me, I do not want to go through all those hurdles. A VJ member Heaven Sent is in nursing school now. Im not sure if she could answer this for you or not but I will forward this to her and see what she says.... Come on down Tee! Anyone else?? Flight aren't too bad because we have so many coming for Disney. He is a sweety for sure. Didn't see him for long, but could tell that no doubt. He and my hubby talked for a bit so he would be fine. I think what makes these yardie link ups pretty easy (and awesome) is that all of us girls have talked to each other and then the hubby's all can talk about Jamaica and where they came from. So it's not like the usual ackward first time meeting people. This west coast link-up is tempting me! I agree, gives them something familiar to discuss,their home! We walked around a lot. I was in so much pain when I got home, not to mention what should have been a 45 min drive turned into a 2 hour drive! Traffic was a b**** and there were about 3 accidents (glad I wasn't one of them given my current track record on my car). I took a hot bath in epsom salts, popped some motrin and hubby rubbed my foot for me, which helped me so much! (Thanks hubby!). He and I were together for a LONG time, and his Mom is like my Mom - but for a variety of reasons, I decided it would be better for all if I didn't go to the funeral. One of his sisters, who I am close with, is housebound, so they did a live feed from the service. I logged in, and just had to log out because I am bawling - He started to do the eulogy and absolutely lost it - My heart is aching for him right now, his Mom was his everything. I thank God every day for my friend, who is Lilla's Godmother. She was there when Lilla was born, I know my baby is in loving hands and I am thankful. Still hurts to see her look to my friend when she cries... she is bonding with another woman and the selfish part of me wants to leave this place I call work and just hold my baby... but I need this job to qualify for Immigration... Then I get a txt from him saying he could not talk this morning We talk every morning, it's what gets me through the days... I know sister's boy was sick yesterday, just hoping everything is ok and trying not to be selfish. I sure need to hear his voice right about now tho... Sometimes I want to move to the likkle board house in JA and forget all this... Then I think how irresponsible that would be with 2 children to support... Today I just feel lost, and all I can do is pray. Momma listen: It's natural to feel that way about Lilla bonding with another woman, but listen. She is not bonding with a stranger. She bonding with another woman who you call "friend". That means alot. With the way people are abusing, killing and making our kids suffer, it is reassuring to know that she is being left in good hands! Yes, we'd all like to pick up and run away to JA and just be free of all the worlds burden's but realistically that is not the case either. You are HUMAN and some days are going to be better than others. So go ahead and cry, get it all out, because tears are cleansing your soul. Pick your chin up and stay focused. Remember you have 3 people depending on you right now so you need to be strong for them and for youself. If anything happens to you, they suffer too... Keep the faith ALIVE and know that God is good and will NEVER give you more than you can bear! Just remember those smiling faces of the 3 people who love you and need you the most and this will help you get through those not so easy times...
