Philippines	Can A Filipina Really Be Taught How to Drive? A Car?	I feel bad for you guys because I can already fathom how Jordan feels about this. I've never driven a car before. I know how to drive bumper cars and golf carts so if maneuvering a vehicle is no way close to what I've mentioned then he's in for the ride of his life! I suggest that you take her to an isolated area and muster all your patience because it's going to take a while. Driving is a skill which I have yet to learn and see if I possess it. If not, I can walk around LA and drop a few dress sizes! lol. Be patient with her, it will happen! You have to make her feel comfortable so that her nerves won't get the best of her because in my case, I panic whenever I feel that I'm under pressure. I tried driving once and I "burned" the clutch. Some people learn better through imitation so why not give that a try? Instruct her step by step and demand that she pay attention to what you're doing and eventually, with your guidance, she'll get the hang of it. Update us! That woman forgot to mention that the average Korean can't speak English worth a damn, ...and all the Koreans go to 'Pinas to take English lessons from Pinoys! Mabuhay ang 'Pinas! True, Toni was an ESL teacher to a bunch of young koreans a few years ago. She said that they knew almost no english at all, one guy was so bad that when he talked to her, he had to get out a dictionary and point the words out that he wanted to say. Philippines	Finally got that GREEN card	Hey everybody, haven't been on here in a whiiile, but after so many months on transferring, processing and waiting (almost 6 months), I finally got a text from the USCIS saying that Toni has been approved for her green card and without an interview! So now all we have to do is wait for that welcome letter and card. Thank god and thanks to all our VJ friends that helped get us through this and the advice. It particularly makes me laugh since I grew up with a yaya and didn't speak a lick of Tagalog back then. I love our yayas but sometimes my mom, siblings and I like to tease them in public and go, "Whatever yayas!!!" In return they respond, "Ay so naughty si Ma'am Angelina 1,2,3,4,5 and 6..." It was funny cuz I was playing that meet me game and I saw her there, I thought she was so pretty that I said I would. When I said yes, it showed that she was from L.A. so of course I said yes. Then we started commenting each other for a while, then we moved to YM, then she told me she was really from the Phils. We kept talking and talking until we devolped feelings for each other, then we couldnt hold our feelings back and just had to come clean with our feelings. I met her last Nov. and just came back from seeing her almost 2 weeks ago. Philippines	St. Luke’s Medical Exam Walkthrough	They probably don't include it in the package since the cervical cancer shot (Gardasil) is more of a preventative measure to lessen the chances of developing that disease. Another reason could be the fact that it's pricey and like I said in an earlier post, it's a 3 shot series. You can get the shot at any age but it's most recommended for those who haven't had sexual contact yet. You can get the shots in the States. I think it's a little over $300 over there. It most probably varies. For now, you can get your routine pap smear test done. Maybe your friends got the cheaper version of Gardasil. I think it's cheaper because it doesn't fully protect you from warts and such. I have no idea. Once you get to the States, you can get it there since it's for your protection in the long run. Wanna know something funny? I found out that guys can get that shot too! lol. @ryanrec That's odd. I guess there's a time frame that she needs to observe to get the second shot since she recently got it. Your fiancée can bring her passport with her to the interview at the Embassy and just submit it there. @Armenia Lucky you! You didn't need to go through an entire day of waiting. It all depends on what the doctor feels is suitable for you. Bring your vaccination record if you have it. The cervical cancer shot is around Php5,000 per shot. You need 3 of those for it to be effective. My doctor offers it for 4,200 per shot. You can ask your OB-GYN. P.S. You're not required to get the cervical cancer shot at St.Lukes. Yun sinasabi mo kasi na anti cervical, that's expensive. My aunt's an OB-GYN so the Gardasil costs 5,200 per shot. You need 3 shots to complete it. HPV shot. You get that thrice with an interval of 2 months per shot, I believe. Get it in the States if you really want it. MMR at ung titanus ata un.. If you're worried about the vaccines, don't be because the doctor will ask you about your history of drug allergies. Tell her what kind of medication you're taking right now so you won't get any adverse reactions. Based on your timeline, I'm guessing you don't have to rush to the medical just yet.
