Called USCIS and talked to tier 2 they said they still in February ... they said would take 9-13 month total to process my I -130 I said nope you updated the system and it said 7.4 months!!!! she said they were backlogged and even so I am not outside of normal processing times have a good day and hung up. So they haven't done anything as of yest with my case even the birthday change I requested and they have until dec4th to change :(  feeling little down hearted because what are we paying these people to do... except be rude?

They are only over the phone assistance. Very useless when it comes to questions about a pending case. Trust what you see from people and hope for the best. These people over the phone get paid to deliver to you the worst case scenario.

My status on the website changed slightly for a third time since Monday.  We are in Hong Kong.  Not sure yet where our case is and not sure how to find out at this stage but glad we're being worked on somewhere:
The I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

Please fill your timeline or mention your priority date so that we know how concerning your update is.

Why is everyone thinking that acceptance requires a transfer? The transfer process is only because of the backlog. Cases may vary from one office or one building to another. There are thousands of cases that are processed and finished without a transfer and I believe that not all of them provide their stories online. I believe that what I am experiencing here, including my case status of a PD of May 14, is a sample of viewing some of thousands of cases. Which makes me think that the averages acceptance has a wide variety of changes. I personally know a friend's case from March 8th who got accepted in August 8th and never announced it publicly. A family member who filed in January got approved in June too.
When it comes to what I thing, I could be right or wrong at the same time. Never close to accurate.

All I wish for is a faster process to everyone to be able to have a decent life near their loved ones.

Cheers!!!

Hey guys, I've finally been approved :-) I wish I could be of more help but I was expedited so my timeline really doesn't help much at all. :-( but I do recommend that everyone use their congressmen/women's offices to help get information, mines felt lik a life saver :-)

My timeline is exactly like yours. What situation did you explain to your congressman/woman's office? Was it anything related to a humanitarian crisis, civil war or medical condition? I'm just wondering if only stressing the long wait in a convening letter can help. I would appreciate your response
