Middle East and North AfricaDO they deport me if my fiance leave me in US?
Hello, just wondering if you and the woman have age differences? Was she married before? Does she have kids? Are ya'll the same religion? Do you have doubts that she will marry you when you come into the USA?

Middle East and North Africaany advice
Best wishes for you and your wife! I know the separation time is hard but one day it will all be worth it when ya'll can be together. After I married my husband in Egypt I spent 13 months away, then went back to Egypt again and came home without him. 4 months again without seeing him then he was able to come over. 17 months apart sucks! We are about to be having our 6th yr anniversary in July and we spend so much time together. I think I've only been away from him for 3 days in the past 4yrs!

Kathleen..near Warner Robins. How did your hubby like Georgia? I'm curious to see how my SO will find the climate/culture here. He's pretty laid-back so I think he'll do fine. He hasn't had the opportunity to drive in about 10+ years. Interested to see how that works out. :hehe:

He loved Georgia as far as the city life! If we lived in Houston he'd love that too but we live 35 miles from it in the country

It's so true even when Adam & I go on vacation. No worries, no work, no responsibilities so that time on vacation is great! But that one second vacation is over then he's driving me again! I don't think there's any magical formula for long lasting relationships with or without age gaps. I think it's about two people that love each other, communicate with each other, respect each other and work on the relationship. I know people with age gaps, religion differences, cultural differences or a combo of a couple or all of those things that had long lasting marriages. If someone's spouse & them want life to work then they will make it happen.

My husband is almost 28 & I'm 30. About to be 6yrs married and known each other almost 7. We are growing old together here in Texas and hopefully this year will be completed with the naturalization process. Successful marriages are possible- you both have to want it and work for it.

Adam is on the phone with his sister in Cairo. She has been hearing gun shots in the street of her flat and that neighbors have been robbed. She is terrified. She said that the good protesters have told them to prepare hot water in water bottles so when the bad guys come to rob them they have something to try at them from the balcony. The bad guys are turning off peoples hot water. So we just got off the phone with her so she can fill whatever she can with hot water.
Now he is calling his mom is Alex to find out whats going on there now

I was in Cairo earlier this month on business with several colleagues. My boss, who is also my cousin, her husband and young son stayed behind to visit family in Giza. We haven't heard from them in three days, and continue to try to reach them. Insha'allah, all our loved ones are safe and that the best outcome for all is the result.

^^ Hi Sofiyya! I hope your family is ok too. I wonder how Aya and Medo are doing and if they are able to come back home as planned?

I see on the news that Mubarak named Omar Suleiman as VP for Egypt.

LaL 100 dead? CNN is saying 35 dead - but with all the violence going on there, I'm thinking more than 35. Sad!

Adam just talked to his mom in Alex. She said the police stations have been burned, the banks were robbed, the drivers license office burned, and stole the money from that office, the governor of Alex office burned, boss of the police in alex -his house burned (that house is across the street from where his mom used to live) She dont know how her and Adams grandmother will get paid this month. Its gone from protesting to rioting and things are being made into a big mess over in Alexandria. Its going to start making problems for alot of people for money, for their jobs, for food ect.
I hope that those of you that have spouses there that they can get away from there safely.

Just checked the weather for Houston on Sunday and theres suppose to be thunderstorms! I hope not bcz we are off work and are totally free to go down there at that time. I have bday party and dinner in humble at 5pm-9pm so I could be near Houston at 230 easily. Would sooo love to participate!

Amanda, my BIL said that after he applied, then he had a date set for finger prints and there he was given a booklet to study. Very thin booklet maybe 20 something pages. There is 100 questions and he will be asked 10 of them and has to get 6 of them correct, plus read and write in English. He went ahead and gave the booklet to Adam to borrow for now. I'll find out more details on May 2nd from my BIL.

Middle East and North AfricaMental Illness
Well Im not one of the negative posters, however ... I was abused physically by my biological father, I was abused sexually by a biological grandfather and I watched my biological mother beat constantly, prostituted out in front of me as a child then at almost the age of 6 watched her beat to a pulp, broken bones and shot in the head 2-3 times in front of me by my biological father.
I was adopted, had a great home... my adopted dad died in front of me when I was 16 - he had cancer.

I never got close to any guys other than just friends -until Adam. I would never settle for one who hurts me, abuses me phsically or sexually or cheats even though I've been through hell as child. I never wanted what became of my biological mother to continue in my life. I choose well when I chose Adam. He's a great soul mate for me and my love of my life.

Middle East and North AfricaConversion as related to visa approval...

I dont think the majority of those that revert especially to marry mena men really really understand what they are doing. I think there is alot of half hearted stuff going on and frankly if most really reverted, its because they didnt have a deeply based christian belief to begin with. I love muslims and have spent alot of time around Islam but I dont like agree with hijab and honestly, most of what I dont like is the cultural interpretation of islam and not islam itself. I also dont think many even understand that once you take shihada, that apostasy is punishable by death in several hadiths and frankly I think if most knew that they couldnt easily leave a religion, they wouldnt revert or convert to it. Couple that with complete intolerance for churches and christian beliefs in several mena countries, I doubt most reverting even really understand on a deeper level what it means to be a muslim and the lifetime commitment it is. You cant just switch back.. oh excuse me, you CAN in the United States where sharia law isnt enforced. Leaving islam is not allowed and talking about christianity is punishable by jail time in several mena countries. I doubt that most reverts really even contemplate all of this. They think... oh yes Jesus is a prophet and I am not a really strong christian to begin with so I can relegate Jesus to the prophet status because I really dont like church anyway. But to completely toss a lifetime of belief systems in a short time? I think they are cupid conversions and nothing more, not really thought out nor adhered to after the relationship goes south unless of course, they start another mena relationship with another muslim. In the end, without the support system of their American friends and family, they will be floating aimlessly. With a very low percentage of these relationships lasting , the best piece of advice is to keep your american family close and family close because you will need them later after your youth fades and this adventure ends.. and you are back with the people of your youth and heritage..

I know of people that believe that. Some muslims argue that this isnt true, but some do believe it to be true. Makes me want to hold Adam alittle tighter each day and thankful GOD gave him to be my husband.

All of the day time ones are at 340pm. Im tired of customers making stupid comments like its our fault someone is calling in and us all having to evacuate the store. Its sad to see elderly customers who are in need of their medication or have health issues being rushed out the store. Im tired today and frustrated.
