At the moment it will be easier to reach Christina or Waleed through facebook. While she may not be able to respond to everyone that writes her at the moment, she does know that alot of people are praying for her. Im sure that since her husband is so new to the country that he will need some support & some men to talk too.

I just received a text msg from Christina. She said to let everyone know she is ok, but badly burned over most of her body. She is on oxygen & her husband Waleed is with her & she is out of the hospital and at her mothers house. She lost everything & is grieving over her angels (lost her 12yr old daughter & 16yr old son) She can not respond to everyone at the moment and thanks everyone for praying.

Dear Friends: Please pray for my friend Christina Wassef. On March 1st her apartment burned down & her 2 children died. She was injured with burns on her body. March 2nd her Egyptian husband arrived to America. She lost everything in the fire. I dont know many more details other than she is out of the hospital and at her mothers. Im trying to find out if her husband made it there too. Here's a link to the news of it.

Thanks ladies! So for those with age gaps plus older women ... If you & your hubby wanted a child together would you try to make it happen or go for adoption?

Considering the fact that you're still pretty young, Tamara, I wouldn't cut myself off at 5 years. I'd say you have a good 10 years left to try, safely. I wish you the best of luck in trying to conceive. :star:

Thanks! I know hubby is disappointed though every time we do the pregnancy test. I give up on showing him anymore.

Well for hubby & I we just wish we are able to have a baby within the next 2 yrs. he's been here 4 yrs and it hasn't happened yet. Ivf is not a possibility as I already have health issues that puts me at high risk for blood clots. For me I don't even know if I should try past the next 5 yrs.

Middle East and North AfricaTLC ( the learning channel) being 70 & pregnant

Seriously?? My husband recently showed me some article about an older woman (60s or 70s) who was pregnant, I think in Tunisia, and I thought it was just some bizarre fake article.
How did the 70 y.o. in India conceive -ivf??

I missed out on how it said she had gotten pregnant other than they went to a doctor in India and had her daughter

Middle East and North AfricaTLC ( the learning channel) being 70 & pregnant
So on TLC ( the learning channel ) right now is airing a special called Being pregnant at 70. As of right now they have featured 4 women who got pregnant in their 60s+ Their husbands have age differences of about 20 yrs younger. I wonder if anyone in similar age differences were to have a child at an older age how would you handle the news? A couple of the women have health issues & a couple of the women planned the pregnancy with ivf.

Edited to say they are now featuring a 70yr old woman from India who gave birth and how her & her husband tried for 50 yrs.

Middle East and North Africaany advice for a newbie
I hope you understand that each of us that posted are being completely honest with you. I hope what we say doesn't make you upset & go back to telling him your upset bcz people from the Internet just don't understand yalls love for each other ... Ect... Bcz all of us do. Most all of us been with our Egyptian or Moroccan spouses for years and are much further into the process & even many of us have our spouses here now but years later. We are just saying go slow, get to know this man & his family. I hope you do take the time needed to do that & that things work out for you & he.

My only advice is to slow down, take time to get to know him & his family & do NOT rush into marriage. If its going to work out for you & he then its best to not rush this. You are the age of my baby brother & I'd advise him of the same thing I told you if he were in your situation.

Yes for real u can request a name change! On the N 400 paper it asks you if you want to change your name & what do u want to change it to. From what I've read is that during the interview USCIS can not grant ur name change that it can only be done during ur oath ceremony as it is granted to you by the Judge. Even my brother in law did a slight name change last year & it was granted during his oath ceremony by the Judge.

And no you don't pay extra for the name change. Still $680 for N400

Nah this part is too easy IMO. He just filed it on April 12th & we just checked our case status & it says they mailed him the apptment letter for his biometrics. I was guessing he'd be done by his bday around Sept, but as fast as its going I'd be elated if he was done by our anniversary in July!

Yah somewhere near the beginning of all the questions ask if you are requesting a name change. He is changing it to Adam & does not want a middle name & is changing his last name as well. I was like why can't your last name be Hosny so I can be Mrs. Tamara Hosny! Lol
