Water I wish I knew why! The doctors around here are not what i call real trust worthy. The first sign of preterm labor with me, the doctor had me on bedrest immediatly.

I just want to thank everyone for their prayers. Each day that passes by and she has no trouble gets us closer to her due date, or at least a safe date for the baby's sake. It means the world to me that you all are saying these prayers!

I am taking one day at a time. I just wish the girl were in the hospital on bed rest. That would make me feel a whole lot better than her being out running all over the place!

I found out this week, that my son's unborn son is in trouble. I hope you can forgive me to ask for prayers for him. She is about 20 weeks along (not due til April), having labor pains, and the placenta is presenting itself first. They say its very low and that if the baby is born anytime soon, he only has a 30% chance of making it. All I can think about is what i went thru almost 21 years ago with my son Christopher. She has placenta previa, I had abruption of placenta. I'm praying and hope you all will say prayers for Arron Jacob. This is gonna be a rough road for a while for me. So forgive me if I start babbling. I don't know if I can take another big loss like this!!!!

omg Tasha, CHILI! I would have killed her! Yea, I think it may be his teeth, or just another growth spurt. I was rubbing his legs and it was calming him down. After About 4 hours I doped him up with some tylenol and sang "twinkle twinkle little star" over and over about 800 times til he finally submitted and closed his restless eyes ...I hate to complain but its like when you have a child who has slept 12 hours a night since birth, and BAM one night he does the opposite, it kinda throws me off ya know? I will survive, I feel better after a nice shower and some homemade french toast.

Im soo glad I dont have a girl yet to worry about dating and such. I secretly want a lil girl but would be completely satisfied with all boys...I know my life would be a lot easier with only boys, not that sofyan is a strict muslim but its just too hard where I live to keep a lil girl "innocent" even the school at the mosque is FAMOUS for all its students having sex , etc...I have a lot of muslim friends whose parents did EVERYTHING right, yet, they are secretly doing EVERYTHING they shouldnt be...

Gosh kelly, isn't it something how Zaid has changed so much since his birth! I love the new pics!

I say....decorate your house to the 9's and show your baby boy in heaven that he has a strong mama. Make the decorations for him, that's what I'd do. Every light that you display is a signal to his spirit of how much you love him. I know that sounds silly but many ppl have done this for the holidays and it really has helped them to get through it with a much happier mental state.

Put that tree up. Celebrate like no other year. Give the kids a Christmas they'll never forget. This will help you to pull out of your sadness (if only a little bit).

rose.gif amal rose.gif

Today they are both home with colds and we will go to the pediatric office today at 4. I agree with what you are saying. I need to get things up... I kind of go foward then do really good , then sniff sniff backward, then panic attack, then good again. If I was strong I dont even think I would be panicking like I am. These kids are amazing. They are what is saving me, not me them I think. The kids are fun and give me alot of comfort. I cant really describe how weird all of this is to be happy and sad at all the same time..

That's very understandable. It is perfectly ok to move forward and fall back every once-in-a-while. That's the way the body learns to cope so it sounds like you are right on target. Slowly, the good days will overtake the bad days.

I loved the idea of letting the kids pick out an ornament for him. What a wonderful way to celebrate his life!

That is an awesome idea about th ornament. When Christopher died, I got a brass ornament with his name on it and its gone on my tree every year since.

well Ive had this question on my mind before so now I will throw it out here. Why would muslims have a problem celebrating the birth of Jesus if you consider him to be a great prophet? At least you have an idea of when his bday is or even tho its technically not Dec 25th but its still the time people all over the world celebrate the birth of Jesus. Celebrating Life is always a good thing right? Why not add Him to His own bday celebration? blink.gif

I feel the same way but what my husband said, before he got here mind you, is that it is mimicking what the Christians are doing. Again I'm sure someone more learned than me can quote it directly from the Quran but regardless I agree with you. Jesus, pbuh, was a prophet to us (muslims) so why not celebrate his b-day. Then again, we don't celebrate Abraham, pbuh's, b-day or Moses', etc. idea9dv.gif Just thought of new excuses to get presents! lol

And there are over 300 prophets! We'd have to celebrate all!

For Eid, I am making lamb. For Christmas we have a tree up and even though my hubby don't really celebrate, he lets me decorate and shop and do all the Christmassy stuff. This year, the tree is up and thats it. I decdied not to decorate or anything else cept the tree. Nobody else sees it cept for me and my son!

Terrie, when did he get here again? It's so hard to keep up with everybodies arrival dates anymore..

I know that mine had issues with holidays coz being here vs their home countries SUCKS when it comes to EID so some of them kind of get a bit cranky when we go all out for "our' holidays or celebrations. I say get him stuff anyways if it makes you happy to do so. I'm fairly sure that I won't get anything from mine but it makes me so happy to get him stuff that I don't really care if I get anything or not. (we'll see how I feel about that in a few years lol)

I know that mine does some stuff thru cafepress so I dunno if he'd like a gift from there or not. I'm totally gonna check it out though!

I might get him his own coffee mug so he'll stop stealing mine lol! Maybe some new clothes and cologne. i may get him a hat too coz he has a maroon one that he wears all the time and it doesn't match anything lmaooo

Amal, he got here last year in october. But if I spend more than a dollar my butt is in some royal hot dodo, if you know what i mean.

I just got into an argument with him about this. i don't why but he don't want to celebrate anything not even EID. I'm so pissed, I don't know what to do or say to him anymore. its really disturbing to me that he has adapted this attitude. When he was in morocco, he celebrated everything. Now that he is here, nothing. Any ideas? I wanna celebrate EID too i'm muslim!
