When in Egypt and Jordan I would always make remarks like...."well, in the US we can....or we have...." tongue.gif I used to make fun of the fact that fast food delivered to homes WTH??!?? blink.gif I would talk about their plumbing, AC, refrigeration, transportation, etc.... Not on small trips but on trips I spent an extended amount of time i.e.: summer, etc and it drove my cousins and my hubby crazy. So now when my husband has said things like that, I pretty much agree w/ him on what he misses and then we start talking about "imagine not having...." etc. It's really not much of an issue now.

Last time we talked about it he said I have nothing to go back to except to visit family. My life and family are here now and thats the truth. That does not mean he doesn't want to go back and visit or for us to have a home there one day but not without our entire family.

rose.gif

I think you are all missing the whole premises of this post (and maybe thats my fault). My beef is not that its my country this and that but, I have to pay for ramadan cause i am under doctor's care and am not allowed to fast. So I bought up the subject with hubby and he wants me to always send the money to Morocco. I want to keep the money here. There are plenty of people here in need as I am sure of people in Morocco too. But I live here, not in Morocco. He is always worried about Morocco. I told him all he is obligated to worry about is his family there. This has been a real struggle to me. I have never yelled about sending money to morocco but this time am putting my foot down!

I also think that he wants to be like his brother (whom has money) also. He wants to be able to give to whoever and whenever.

Terrie, what about compromising. Half here, half to Morocco. Just a thought hon.

I have gotton so sick and tired of hearing from my husband, my country this and my country that. Please excuse me, you live in this country now, not that country. I am trying to do something that is right and it has to do with poor muslim people, and he wants everything to go to Morocco. He says, I know people...Well excuse me, I know people here too. Its so darn frustrating that everything always reverts back to his country! This coming from a man just talking about getting his citzenship in a year or two. Grrrrr mad.gif

4. My mother taught me LOGIC. "Because I said so, that's why."

5. My mother taught me MORE LOGIC. "If you fall out of that swing and break your neck, you're not going to the store with me."

6. My mother taught me FORESIGHT. "Make sure you wear clean

underwear, in case you're in an accident."

7. My mother taught me IRONY. "Keep crying and I'll give you

something to cry about."

8. My mother taught me about the science of OSMOSIS. "Shut your mouth and eat your supper."

9. My mother taught me about CONTORTIONISM. "Will you look at that dirt on the back of your neck!"

10. My mother taught me about STAMINA. "You'll sit there until all that spinach is gone."

11. My mother taught me about WEATHER "This room of yours looks as if a tornado went through it."

12. My mother ! taught me about HYPOCRISY. "If I told you once, I've told you a million times, don't exaggerate!"

13. My mother taught me the CIRCLE OF LIFE. "I brought you into this world, and I can take you out."

14. My mother taught me about BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION. "Stop acting like your father!"

15. My mother taught me about ENVY. "There are millions of less fortunate children in this world who don't have wonderful parents like you do."

16. My mother taught me about ANTICIPATION. "Just wait until we get home."

17. My mother taught me about RECEIVING "You are going to get it when you get home!"

18. My mother taught me MEDICAL SCIENCE. "If you don't stop crossing your eyes, they are going to freeze that way."

19. My mother taught me ESP. "Put your sweater on; don't you think I know when you are cold?"

20. My mother taught me HUMOR. "When that lawn mower cuts off your toes, don't come running to me."

21. My mother taught me HOW TO BECOME AN ADULT. "! If you don't eat your vegetables, you'll never grow up."

22. My mother taught me GENETICS. "You're just like your father."

23. My mother taught me about my ROOTS. Shut that door behind you. Do you think you were born in a barn?"

Well I am having a great day Boss called this morning and said work from home till the afternoon and just do the deposits. oh yeah answer the phone and do the deposits it is a great day. Think I will make hubby enchiladas today.

I went to buy some pants and the 2nd hand store since my pants and shorts are falling off me and I took some 14 and 12 in the dressing room, I wanted to see how much I had to go to fit in the 12 and they fit, snug but great.I was so excited. since it has been about 10 years since I have worn a 12. My husband said good but only buy a few cos I am only 2 1/2 months since surgery and I have went from 18-20 to now a 12. This Saturday I wore a size large dress and looked great and felt like a million bucks.

Hola MENA peeps - lots of love to you all.

Awww, Sister Nagi - I'm so happy for you. I hope you have a wonderful time training him. May he delight your soul! star_smile.gif

Ladies, I would like to ask for a small favor - keep my hubby in your prayers. He has a job (and I'm grateful for that) but he's terribly frustrated and I have been praying that God opens some doors to a better job for him.

Thanks!

Last week it was Kim and Nancy, and today at the weekly meeting they announced that yesterday they let Margie go crying.gif When they said that, I got like 2 little tears slipping down my cheek. This is getting VERY scary and I thank God every time I avoid a cut. Can't cut me,,I'm sales. I bring IN the money. If I get cut, they will be locking the doors. Sad, I say, just sad to watch an 18 -year employee get let go. I pray this recession turns soon.

Have a good day.

Quick note. My husbands friend and his wife (in the UK) just got back from visiting his family in Morocco. He is one pissed off man! He says he will never go back to his home town again. He says that all of his so called friends were all after him for money. He has become so disillusioned by them all. What were once his good friends are now just users. My husband and I have already seen that side, although my husband hasn't been back yet. One thing however, it does show who is and isn't true friends. Luckily my husband has no expectations on his friends there. He just wants to see his family.

Maybe you can answer this for me, my husband and I want to go back to Morocco, but he thinks he needs to haqve money for everyone. WTH is up with that. We are in no position to hand money out just cause! Maybe for Mom or the brothers, but nobody else!
