if you read the top of the page it says these are the dates of last processed or are working on processing them.
it also said they were backloged with double the apps. when fee increased so all you can do is go visit your so or sit back and not enjoy the ride for it is a long road to wait so if you just filed it will be some time before it is approved best thing you can do is keep your self as busy as possible. godd luck on the journey

Hello everyone . From the tittle it's clear what i asked 

 

I filled out a "b2" visa to go visit my wife . cuz her work doesn't allow her to have any vaccation this year cuz she took 1 month And 2 weeks wich is not normal in the USA O.o

 

We applied for a "Cr1" and a "K3" Visa but they both take so long to get process . It's our first year from marriage we didn't have our honeymoon yet so my wife offer me to apply for visitor visa and come to her to pass our honeymoon and see each other for awhile 

 

My question is does anyone did that from before and what i need for the interview ?? I have interview on 22,february

Unfortunately, your pending applications are for you to permanently move to the U.S.A. That is the strongest show of intent to migrate. It still will not hurt to go for the B2 visa interview but to be honest, chances of getting approved is extremely low. Good luck and hope u are an exception.

I attended the interview with my husband in New Delhi, at the end of it all, I as the UC was asked more questions than my then my fiance did, I think it was totally work it, i went back to india two months prior to the interview to help get alll our paperwork together, then we flew back to the USA together, To share in that first time packing together and flying together and arriving at your new home together was worth it.

My I-129F was approved on July 28, 2006. I called the NVC and they haven't received it yet. They told me to call back in 30 days. My I-130 was approved July 19. So my question is - I want my husband here the fastest that I can and I understand that I don't have to decide right now which way I want to go (CR1 or the K3). So when my CR1 stuff starts coming through I have to pay money for a couple of things. And if the K3 is sent to the Embassy and we get an interviw, obviously we will be going that route. So with the money that I've already sent for the I-30, am I just out that money?

It took us 8 months to get the interview appointment letter (from may until dec) and 9 to have the interview (feb 2).

I was just in Egypt with my fiance and went with him to his medical exam. I dont know if it is different for the K1, but he needed to take passport photos with him to the exam. We saw the MD first and since he too had no record of his immunizations they gave them all to him again! LOL He had a chest Xray at the hospital and then we had to go to ANOTHER place across town for the bloodwork. He then had to go back and pick up the results about a week later to send to the embassy! I didn't even attach my NOA2! Here's what I did:

I put the receipt number in the subject line, and the following text in the body:

"Petitioner Name: __
Petitioner DOB: __

Beneficiary Name: __
Beneficiary DOB: __

Our NOA2 was generated by USCIC on [Date on NOA2]. We were instructed to wait 30 days for NVC correspondence before attempting to contact NVC.

We have heard nothing in X days.

Please provide us our Case number, IIN, and Beneficiary Number as quickly as possible."

The next day I received an email saying, "This petition is now eligible for further processing." It had all our pertinent information (that I already had received from my daily call to the operator.

Maybe it was a coincidence, I don't know. Seems suspect, so I'm taking credit for the nagging :)

The day after I emailed them to request (well, demand) a case number, I got it.


I wish I could do that but my hard copy NOA2 is in America and I am currently visiting my hubby in the UK. I left all packets, ready to go, with my mother so I could call her with the case number and she could send everything for me but that seems like it was pretty pointless now.

He was told that we just need to find another joint sponsor and then he can send in the paperwork along with his passport and they'd send it back with the visa. So he was approved except this one thing. Luckily we found a joint sponsor who is a single person household and they make between $35,000 to $45,000 a year. If this isn't good enough for a 2 person household I'm going to freak! lol I got all documents including the 1040 tax forms and W-2s for the past 3 years, a recent bank statement, most recent pay stub, and birth certificate. Faxed them to him last night in hope that we can get it all to the courier today!

My confusion now is how does he pay the courier to get his passport and such back to him? They told him he doesn't need to go back to the embassy for anything because everything else looks "perfect". If anyone has done this before can you give me some advice? Thanks everyone, we really appreciate it!

That is such a ridiculous reason. I got the 221g form too. My understanding is that you just need to satisfy the one requirement they have highlighted and then it should all be fine, they don't ask for another interview. If I were you I would make an appointment to do a same day passport renewal, it costs a bit more, but it's worth the time you save, then book in the courier to pick it up the next day, they have been pretty efficient once they have received the extra info but it's still a hassle couriering everything back and forth so get it all booked in. I have had two rounds of sending in info, both times they responded within 2 days of receiving the paperwork and as I was writing this the courier just delivered my passport WITH visa!!!!


You had to send in things twice? Did they email you or anything letting you know that you needed even more info than what what you sent the first time? I'm curious because we just sent in paperwork for our 221g and the tracking website says a package is due at his place on Monday (hopefully his passport with visa!!). Hopefully it won't just be a RFE.

I got a 221g for damaged passport (washed - doh!) - does anyone know roughly how long is normal for courier to collect and then return the passport with visa in? Tomorrow I'm going to book a delivery time hopefully for sometime this week.

Or is it possible to go in and drop it off in person?


We just had to send in more financial info for our joint sponsor so just went through the whole courier experience. We got everything collected on Tuesday of this past week and the courier delivered my husband's passport with visa stamp today! It didn't even take a week! I hope it goes as quickly for you!

Fortunately I'm living for free in Afghanistan and $1k a month covers everything my wife and son need in Thailand, so the money isn't a concern. My primary concern is any time that may be lost due to an error in filing.


Since you filed both petitions separately, time shouldn't be lost as your I-130 will keep trudging along by itself. As others have mentioned, the K3 has been obsolete for about 2 years now. It was ordinarily used to bring the spouse in the country while the I-130 was being processed (it could take years for the I-130 to be processed). Since the timelines for the I-130 have decreased significantly since then, the K3 will arrive at the NVC stage at the same time or shortly after the I-130 and they will administratively close it and just proceed with the I-130.

Essentially, the money you paid for the K3 is non-refundable and the application won't help you. But it shouldn't hurt your chances either.
