K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Typeing in the new I-134	For all that are frustrated by the stupid locked I-134 form on the USCIS website. I downloaded form I-134 from the USCIS website, and found that I could not type on the lines like all the other forms available on the USCIS site, for some stupid reason someone locked the form before posting it to the site. So I printed it out and started filling it out by hand, my writing is OK, but I prefer to type in the answers and print the form out completed, it just looks neater. So there I was hand writing the form looking at the example form here on VJ for guidance, and realized the form date of the example form on VJ is the current one and started wondering how the example form was filled out. The example already posted in this thread has been proven time and again to be sufficient. Your attorney is confusing that with question 18 on the form asking how/when you met your fiance -- and that does not have to be 2-3 pages long either. I have to admit that i am so silly and stupid and i really need your help. As in my case, i am a beneficiary while my fiance is petitioner for me. And one of members in this site already made his posted here about this. Below is a post of his letter of intent for his fiancee: Fiancé Letter of Intent -Non U.S address- -USCIS address- -Date- To Whom It May Concern: I, -Foriegn Fiancé-, do hereby state that I am legally able and willing to marry -USC-, and intend to do so within 90 days of my entry into the United States using the K-1 Visa. Signed, -Signature- Is it correct? And if so, what about this part " or when submitting for interview - United States Department of State, United States Consulate, [name of country where Embassy is located][embassy address] " ? Why didn't he fill in that part? If we don't mention the address of embassy here, then why do they put it there? What for? And if the letter of intent for beneficiary above is correct, then how is the letter of intent for petitioner supposed to be? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Almost 3 Weeks, NVC says it could take 90 Days???	It took 4 weeks for our file to get from CSC to NVC and off to the consulate, and I'm the only one. The good news is, once it finally gets to NVC, it doesn't stay long. hi all - my letter from the NVC was dated sept. 18,2006. and it said that... the state departments NVC has recently received an approved I-129F petition filed on behalf of your fiance. this letter is to let you know that within a week the petition will be forwarded to the appropriate visa-issuing post where your visa interview will take place. they gave me a case number and the address of where they will send my petition across seas... then it says your fiance will soon receive a packet with instructions from the consulat section on how to apply for the K1 visa at that post... and its... Oct. 2 and news that it was even sent yet... so do i just take it that it was sent overseas?? one more thing on the support doc... i am haveing a co-sponser and does the co-sponser have to cover the # of their family and my family or do they make up the difference what i dont make???? thank you, michelle/otman	Michelle_Otman	Female	Morocco	2006-10-02 18:21:00

I need some 'exert' advice	ok i met my fiance on american singles and i was not a member but i had 30 replies and i wasnt sure if i really wanted to pay the membership fee. then out of the blue a 3 day trial popped up and i said y not. so i used my debt card and checked my mail, out of the 30 there was only 3 that i replied to. when i replied i gave them my yahoo addy and told them that i was only going to be a member for only 15 mins. the next thing i know i am chatting with my fiance on yahoo he was online and received my message and he messaged me in my yahoo... through chatting as time went by i found out that he had only just messaged my profile only 45 mins before i became a member and messaged him. i am pretty sure u will have to show proof of the dating service u met on any messages and what not. we had no proof of american singles. i was advised to say we met online in yahoo chat. and i did just that. best of luck... K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Fiance visa to expire	In less than a month my fiance's K1 visa will expire. She want's to be sure about the marriage and does not want to marry just because of the 90 day requirement. I was ready to go ahead with the marriage but of course I am now worried if she is not ready. She was thinking that she could staya and marry later. But she now understands that on day 91 she will be out of status and must return to her home country, or she is an illegal with probably no chance of ever getting permanent residency. If she returns to her home country, she is thinking that she can apply for a fiance or spouse visa later. I cannot imagine going through this process again, not to mention the expense. Many questions arrise. Can she request an extension of the K1? If she returns to her home country, and we cancel the current K1, what is the likelyhood that another K1, or K3 spouse visa will be approved later on? What is the likelyhood of her being approved for a tourist visa, so that we could see each other? If she over stays and we marry a few months from now, I would think an application for adjustment of status would be shot down and she would be deported? when i checked into the k-1 visa my attorney told me that its mainly for couples who really want to marry without a doubt. and that if you dont marry he or she would have to leave the U.S. and they more then likely wont be granted another visa.. because they will think that u used the k-1 just for a visit. and thats not what the k-1 visa is for... people need to make sure with there whole heart that this is what they want... the k-1 is not a 90 day trial!!! best of luck!!! michelle/otman	Michelle_Otman	Female	Morocco	2006-09-30 20:39:00

He has been to the States before for work but does not have a current visa. He does have a valid passport. I'm in need of help to determine which options would be better. We are not wanting to rush into marriage as I would like him to come here and see if he can adjust to life here before making a BIG committment. Does anyone know about a visitors visa? If he comes over on a visitors visa can he go back and start the fiance visa process or can that be done while he is here. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Change in K1 Law? HELP HELP HELP HELP	I filed the form I-129F and was received February 2, 2006. It was approved by USCIS (Nebraska) April 20, 2006. The National Visa Processing Center approve my file May 4, 2006. We are currently waiting for packet three, however, my fiance has yet to receive it. I faxed the American Embassy (Paris) to inquirer further about the situation. They wrote: "In reply to your inquiry about the status of your fiancé's approved I-129F petition, the Department of Homeland Security, US Citizenship and Immigration Services is conducting a new procedure on all K1 visa petitions. Therefore, we have not received it yet." Apparently the Embassy returned our file to USCIS (according to the National Visa Processing Center) May 25, 2006. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Visiting my fiancee in the USA	This is kind of straying from topic a bit, but something Jaylen Brit said has triggered my memory on an issue I'd been thinking about. I've seen several people mention the correct way to answer the "business or pleasure" question. Now I know flying to the US from Canada there is a small card you have to fill out with some basic information and you can check a box for either "business" or "pleasure". You then present this card to the customs officer and they start in on their questions. Not once has the officer ever asked me "Is your trip for business or pleasure?" they have always asked me things along the lines of "Why are you visiting <insert city/place>?" This is, obviously, not a question that can be answered with just a generic "pleasure" line. In the past I've always just stated who I'm going to visit and possibly why (my friend for her wedding, my family, my boyfriend for his graduation, etc.). So what I'm curious about is, how many of you are actually just asked the simple "business or pleasure" question? Actually when i returned to the US from England I was asked all sorts of questions including, who i was there to visit, if he was my fiance, and if he was traveling back with me that day. none of this was volunteered info, he just asked me straight away. i guess be sure to fill out those little cards carefully.	sheenakev	Not Telling	England	2006-04-25 10:28:00

Since then I'm waiting because supposedly they'e doing a background check so as I was told nobody knows how long am I still gonna be waiting. I'm in Canada, and my fiance is from Chicago. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	G-325A	I have just been checking over the forms that we have sent in and noticed that on my G-325A that i filled in by hand because my computer was playing up..the part that asks for any previous names used i only filled this in on one of the forms instead of all 4...what difference will this make? You probably will get an RFE... it depends on how picky the person looking at it is, but you should. Dont worry too much though, it doesnt add much time at all onto an approval if you get the paperwork sent back in straight away. If I were you, I would get it all ready NOW and then you can send it back that day if and when the RFE does come. I too suffered the loss of a son (stillborn at 36 weeks gestation) so I do understand the pain you are feeling. It is absolutely cruel that they won't allow your husband come here to mourn the loss of your child. It's his child too!! I would like to see your story get media attention and WAKE PEOPLE UP!!
