K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresWhere are the NOA2's

I'm a January filer, and I'm unpatiently waiting for NOA2  . I have not seen many approvals this week. Has any petitions been approved since Monday?

CSC PLEASE HURRY :crying: :crying: :crying: with our approvals.

This is starting to get depressing. January filers are talking about getting NOA2's now and my NOA1 from 1 November isn't approved yet!! Better get back to my list of things to do while waiting for NOA2.

I'm so sorry your petition is taking long, and though I probally should not complain, I can't help my self.

However, I hope you soon will have your NOA2 approval. Again sorry for the delay in processing.

I'm only 5 days behind you so I'm waiting impatiently with you. I wish we lived in Vermont. They will come in due time and someday you will look back at this process and laugh about it. It's also going to be a good story to tell your grandchildren. You know you really love someone when your willing to go through THIS process. Hang in there. I'm right there with you. Ken

I don't think my SO and I will ever laugh at this process. To be abscent from the one you love is mentally draining, To want to be with someone and you can't his heart wrenching. This waiting!!!!!!! is the worst.

I will be sending out my I-129f sometime next week. How do I tell USCIS that my fiancee is pregnant and how to expedite my petition? Thanks all.

I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Informing USCIS of a pregnant fiance WILL NOT expedite your petition, unless you are in the military and facing deployment, and then her being pregnant still has no bearing on the expedition.

If it were only so simple.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresHow important is the Letter of Intent To Marry...?
I think it is an important document. It is like your declaration stating the desire to marry your SO and their acceptance. It obviously is possible for an approval without, but, I would be prepared just in case.

I would be more concerned about receiving the letter from your SO, have them send it regular mail and if you don't need it no problem, but if you do it is there.

I don't tell people to read the guides, I answer their questions.

Bumping an old post is far less productive than posting your own question in a new post.

I was speaking in general..

I don't know you, nor do I follow your posting comments!! I never meant or said you specifically. I just happened in this area and commented on what I have noticed.

People are told to search old post for information, and in the search, they find something that interest them. They are then told to start another thread to continue a conversation that someone will post a link saying to read. IMO they have shown you the research and now you specifically know what there concern is regarding.

This is just my personal observation.

I agree, So many times you have the veterans of VJ posting guides6ly.gif and that includes doing research and using the search engine for old applicable topics.

Now you have new-comers using the search engine and they get reprimanded for that as well.

I have not seen this poster lately, but KitKat was the waiver go-to person, have you tried getting in touch with her? She might be able to assist you. I am sure that overstaying a visa is more seriuos then spelling your name wrong (misrepresentation). well she might be able to direct you t counsel that are more reasonably priced or give youa guidline on how to write the waiver yourself.

Enough with the doomsday....People here are grown and I can tell you the pot is hot and that you should not touch it. But, if you decide to touch it even if I disagree it is your choice. All I know that I said to you what was in my heart to say, and will be able to move on. You may get burned you may not, but either way I will be three to walk with you whatever path choosen.

If someone would have told me my husband was scamming me I would not have believed them, I know that anything is possible and I can only make decisions from what I feel is right for me. I have made some wrong ones but, I have made more right one using the same logic. It is my opinion that we should not nag and harras people all repeating the same scammer comments. There has been a many of times I have typed something and walked away, I will come back and copy my thoughts and see what the last post pointed to. Alot of times I would read my exact same thoughts posted by someone else or the flow of the conversation might take a turn, so I don't post those thoughts. I lost my window to comment or the relevancy of the point..... so be it.

I am merely saying that it does not take 35 people saying the exact same thing making the exact same warning. If maybe, you see someone has already posted your sentiments maybe the thumbs or diitto or just silence knowing your point was already made by someone else might suffice. JMHO

Something else that is concerning that has not been mentioned is the time you spent talking online. It is extremely expensive to get online in Nigeria. Only people with money have it at home that have to contend with the power outages to boot.
If he was trying to scam you, he is online trying to scam others while he maintains this relationship with you.

So even if your relationship has turned legit there is a good chance he is scamming other people. Scammers do not fall in love and just stop scamming. This is his way of life and if he found his way to it he will continue until another form of money is available. Would you want to be with someone who scams for a living? Even if it is there only way of making a means?

If someone is sick in the hospital in Nigeria you are not chatting online at all unless you are rich. Internet cafe's are expensive and per minute use. Some are owned by scammer so that is when a scammer is set up for free, because they are bringing in an income. Mutual people will pretend to be one person so that if one is in the cafe they can correspond for the person who might not be able to make it in.

I only wish you the best. No one doubt you or your capabliities or mean to insult you. These scammers are educated people with degrees and no place to use them.

You will get support with your journey no matter what you chose so keep comming back. It works if you work it! *wink

All other things aside with the beginning of your situation, you seemed to have worked that out in your mind and seem very comfortable. My main concern would be the time frame of your visit. I think that is a major red flag, I think that a first visit of five days and then submission of documents based on the 5 days may pose an issue. I know travelling can be difficult, but, if possible please try and visit again or a few more times as the K1 works its way throuth the approval process. Beause the problem will not likely happen with NOA2 approval but solely at the Embassy.

Everyone seems stuck on e-mails, and they are a good source of evidence. But, phone calls are as well. My SO and I did not have 10 usable emails between the two of us (well I did but he was typing in a sort of pidgeon text message language) and some of them were Xrated and private, I submitted about 3 or 4 of his emails. But I had a years worth of Pingo call logs that showed we spoke on the phone atleast 3-5 times a day. My point is that PINGO or phone logs can help substantiate a relationship not just emails.

I mentioned this because you seem to want to give your man less reasons to go to the internet cafe and just wantedx to make sure you kenw that emails are not the only evidence to prove relationship.

I wish you happiness and success with the pursuit of your journey.

We_Destiny, you make an excellent point about the time frame of Imnop 123 visit good.gif

Imnop 123: If at all possible, I would spend at the very least 3 weeks with your SO. I know that may not be feasible to you with your career and all but I highly suggest this for a few reasons.

1. Only meeting your SO for the first time in 5 days will raise a red flag. Unless you have extreme hardships that would prevent u from staying longer (burden of proof will be on you), immigration would expect that you would either have longer stays in Nigeria of more frequent trips to see your SO.

I met my hubby during my first trip to GH. My second trip was 3 months...which brings me to #2

2. It was very important for me to stay a long time in GH in order to see if my hubby's intentions were really real. I did not doubt his intentions before, but I am a natural critic/Colombo and I just wanted to be sure. Staying 3 months allowed me the opportunity to read my hubby as well as his family and friends. 3 months with me up his a** 24/7 literally...he could not hide who he really was. I really got close to his fam and some of his friends and they were more than willing to tell me about his childhood to present...embarrassing stories and all.

I say this to tell you that you need to spend more time there to read people and to read him. You seem to have a great judge of character so you should be able to see people for who they really are. People can play the role in 5 days and even 3 weeks, but not for long so I really suggest that you maximize your time so that you know you are making the right decision. I'm not just saying this becuz your SO has been less than honest at one point...I'm saying this also out of pure compatibility. Are u guys meant for each other? My feelings for my SO was definitely solidified after a couple of months into me being in GH.

AS for the e-mails...

I sent all the intimate e-mails to USCIS. The more freaky the better laughing.gif Hey...I don't know them and they don't know me...I just know it made my case pretty strong. Girl, you should have seen my pics! I was so happy when the embassy called for my address to mail it back to me. And they actually did! laughing.gif

Africa: Sub-SaharanLaptop power cord while in Africa
Also, becasue a laptop stores the power on the battery, it is usually not affected by power surges or power (generator) cutting on and off like a desktop. You can use an adapter purchased in U S or a surge protector purchased in Nigeria that has the proper plug. Or if you layover in in Europe buy the proper connecting cord. The cord coming from the computer with the box attached remains the same only the cord that goes into the socket changes, and can be purchased at the airport or on line. This is the surge protector I use.

I hope this helps.

On the main street in Osu, they have a hotel a resteraunt with take away and a bakery on the street level, upstairs they have a main resteraunt (the fried crispy chicken is good) and on the second and third floor a hotel. Rooms will run you about $50.00 a day, but they also have a free full breakfast in the morning for hotel guest.
