Well, then it hasn't even been a week yet! You need to sit back, take a deep breathe, and realize this process is going to be full of a lot of waiting, all of which is going to be longer and more stressful than the wait for the NOA1.

It was received at NSC on the 12th... Takes a couple of days to get to CSC. So lets say the 15th. Then another 7/8 days for NOA1 in the mail... I would guess the 22nd or so...



Bebop was right! If waiting a few days for the NOA1 is making you stressed then you have got to relax or you won't be able to take this process.
I'm sorry you're angry but waiting for the NOA2 is probably the worst. Then you have the NVC and the consulate (who you wait for 3 times - after the NVC, for packet 3, and then the interview.
Relax....find something to occupy your time, and good luck!




It is not that I am anry and I know the entire process is time consuming. However, it does not seem as though I have actually started my journey, and it won't untill I have a notice saying the process has started. :whistle:

I am preparing my documents to file for the K1 visa and I started reading and I noticed on the top of the I-129F it reads:

"OMB no. 1615-0001; Expires 12/31/06"

Just above the BOLD LETTERS "I-129F, Petition..."


At the USCIS website it has the following:

You have been so helpful. I am gratefull to have found this website. Now time to figure out how to make a timeline.

Part of my being impatient was I had already established an account on USCIS, and I included my email on the petition. I have yet to receive an e-mail regarding anything with my petition.


They do ask for it on the petition but if you do not set up an account with the USCIS and register your case file, you will never receive an e-mail from them.



I have set up and registered an account with USCIS. I have received my NOA1 hadcopy :thumbs: , my case is pending, and I know eventually they will update files and my e-mails will begin :whistle: . But at this point I'm not worried about that. It's not like I filed in Vermont and can be approved in 30 days :whistle: . Sorry to say I'm at CSC and probally have atleast 90 days :( , before my NOA2 they will have sorted out e-mail issues.

Ok, I know I know, its not at all unreasonable to wait a week for NOA1, just feeling a bit down and worried (I realize it will get worse). This whole sending to Nebraska just to have them foward it to California thing is so stupid. I will feel so much better when they at least cash my check... come on, CSC, you know you want to. :crying:



I was in the same situation. I sent my petition UPS next day to Nebraska 1-11, it was was signed for on 1-12, and then immediatley sent to CSS arrived on 1-16, check cashed on the 1-17, received NOA! hardcopy.

I obviously assume that any agent touching our petition will be so moved by the undated pictures spanning the six year period of our relationship that they'd overlook the lack of primary evidence of our relationship.

I also have a fantasy that the agent interviewing my SO will like the photo album that my SO compiled a few years back (when he was sad that I went back to the States for a few days) and that we've added to over th years. I will be invited into the interview and we will all flip through the pages of our albun, Edgar and I reminiscing about when each picture was taken while the agent looks on with a wistful smile, basking in the warm glow of love that transcends manmade boundaries and cultural barriers.

We submitted our K1 Visa application back in January. My Fiance currently has a valid multiple entry tourist Visa for the US. Can she travel into the US before the K1 is approved? What would happen if I married her while she came on the tourist Visa with the K1 application still pending?

If you married your fiance on a tourist visa (being that it was not planned...more of a "spur of the moment" deal) then she would stay in the US and you would file Adjustment of Status within the US. Keep in mind she would have to stay in the US unless she applied for travel while the AOS is pending.

How do you know his intent? Its a question he had thats answered. Even people with knowledge of the system take this route and we here on VJ or even the people processing the AOS applications will never fully know the INTENT of the couple who married. They only go by a 30/60 day rule. If you marry after 60 days of being in the country its ASSUMED there was no intent to marry when the foreign fiance entered. I think this is ridiculous but whatever floats their boat. I would love to go this route but however much of a ###### I am...Im not a liar........and I wouldnt put my fiance in this situation. He'll even miss the birth of our child because we're doing this the "right" way. Contrary to belief...there ARE faster ways to be together than the K visas.



Let us stop pretending Mre Bill Bong, or billybob1010, or Geraldine or Spammer, it's obvious your home on maternity leave ( hopefully ) or unemployeed, and you are depressed, bored and lonely. Why must we be subjected to your multiple personalities, they continually ask the same questions, take your medication and join them together. Not sending your cousin a bus ticket to stay with you while money is raised, wired or given so they could return to there country. ( makes you say hmmm )

I CONCOUR, Mrs Billy Silly seems to be an over opinionated brat :P .

IMO her obviously costumed picture appears to be a true representaion of her appititude to lifes situations ( a cartoon character performing in a one woman (girl) slap-stick comedy of a clown ), compulsively statng her overly judgemental views :whistle:, in every thread like a spammer. She's full of opinions, and when she blindly attempts to answer questions, she usually guesses the wrong answer.

Hi,

I picked up my packet this morning at the embassy. When I was going over the packet, it says to bring the appointment letter when going for the medical examination. However, I don't see any appointment letter in the packet. All I have here are the forms and instructions. Does it mean that the packet itself serves as the appointment letter, or I need to call the embassy and ask for the appointment letter?

The lady said to just come back when I have accomplished everything and I am ready for the interview anytime between Mon to Thurs, 8 - 10 AM. I think she meant I can have my interview as soon as I am ready, no need for appointment or anything. Btw, I am going thru the US Embassy in Belmopan City, Belize.
