*shrug* Then more power to you. I certainly don't think the extra three sheets would hurt any, but I suppose that's just me.

The new form only has one sheet, correct, however four copies should still be sent in with any package you are filing.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI-129 Canadian visiting

Hi
I'm filling out the I-129 and under the section where it asks if I'm currently in the U.S. I said yes, just as a visitor.
It than asks for the I-94 number.
From what I'm aware Canadians don't need one for the states.
Any idea on what to put in there if anything?
Thanks.

I, too, was in the States when I filled out the petition, and just put N/A for the I-94. Never had any problems or RFEs because of it.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresDoes anyone know if you are denied if they. . .
Unless VSC has quickened their pace in more recent months, you appear to be within their processing time from your NOA1 date.

Mine took 5 months between NOA1 and NOA2. Don't worry! You will get a letter if denied, they won't simply leave you in limbo forever.

Hello my peeps. I's so good to see VSC starting to get into our files finally. Today is exactly 4 months since our NOA1. Although I haven't seen any approvals from today I expect to see some at night. So lets keep our faith high. hehehe

PEACE.............

Ours is getting close to that too, Sunday in fact.

I have a sneaking suspicion that we won't see our NOA2 until I'm down there visiting. Although that's later than I'm hoping, I've just got that feeling..

I saw another approval that had my same NOA1 date of 4-14. Since I never check the USCIS website I figured I would log in and see if I had any touches. This is what I found:

Application Type: I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

Current Status: Approval notice sent.

On August 18, 2009, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.

Congratulations. All of these approvals are giving me such hope. smile.gif

I was reading the March filers and there were some folks on 3/27 still waiting...but I look at April and there are approvals. So I guess it's a hit and miss smile.gif

So I arrived in Moscow to see Kirill yesterday I woke of this morning to check my e-mail and to my surprise I see the approval notice in the inbox. I could not believe it! Just last Friday I called all of my wedding vendors to cancel the wedding - now I may be able to put things back on track. Thank you God, everyone here for their support (especially when I was going crazy trying to organize a letter campaign), and the VSC!

Congratulations! Good to see more of us April filers getting welcomed mail.

For me to take time off isn't a hassle - small business, where the owners actually like when they don't have to pay me to be there, heh. And when I go down to visit Ben, he doesn't take time off, so it doesn't really affect the job, thankfully.

He has gone over his vacation days by two weeks this year, however, and we're hoping they won't hassle him too too much when he attempts to take off a couple of days to come up for my interview, and then a week when I move down. Hopefully, compassion on his boss' part will come into play?

Mara, I'm so sorry to hear about the issues at the border. I nearly lost it with my round of eighty questions at the counter itself last time. I can't imagine two hours of that! *hug* The one good thing for you is that customs is after arriving, at least. If they decide to give me that kind of struggle, that's all still before I get to the airport. Weeee delays! Haha.

Hopefully we'll be hearing you dance for joy within the next couple of weeks and you'll have one final crossing to deal with.

I find that, everytime the distance, or my job, or random stresses that I can't find an escape to, doing something productive with all of this gets my head straight. Knowing that I'm doing something that will bring me closer to my other half just helps all of those other problems and concerns sink away.

I am hoping that I can make another trip for the beginning of September, but I haven't gotten around to telling my current boss that. So many things going on at work, half of me doesn't want to request it, the other half is just itching to go. blink.gif Figure if I'm lucky enough to get another three weeks down there, we can receive our NOA2 while I'm there, I'll return home to find that NVC has sent away our case to Montreal, and I'll feel like we're already on our way. Of course, I'll have nothing to keep myself busy with for the two months to follow that, as everything's prepared... but hey, at least I'll feel like we're moving.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsApril 2009 Filers
So as of yesterday, I have officially filed for everything I'll need for Packet 3:

- Went to the police station Monday to file for my police clearance, should see it in hand within the week.
- Called up my local health unit and asked for them to mail out a copy of my immunization record, should have it in hand within the next couple of days.
- Called up my doctor's office and convinced the secretary that it wasn't a big deal for my doctor to be listed as a guarantor so I can get a long form copy of my birth certificate, and to inform her that I was putting him down (thankfully she really had no idea what I was talking about), should have that within three weeks.

Once I have everything I need, time to get on hubby-to-be's butt about finding and/or filing to receive copies of his tax records for the past three years. kicking.gif

Packet 3 will list off documentation that is required by the beneficiary to bring to the interview. Burden of proof is on you to prove that your relationship is legit, so any evidence required to do so is over and above. This package includes a checklist that you must check off and sign once all of the documents listed have been gathered/filled out, then that list must be faxed off to the consulate. Once they receive that, they'll continue.

Tried to attach an example of the checklist for my consulate, but that didn't work out. blink.gif If I can find the link around here, I'll post it for perusal.

Everything. Absolutely everything.

All of the originals (that we could get our hands on) of the paperwork we sent in with the I-129F, which was basically all of our relationship-related evidence pre-filing. Extra evidence pre-filing (excerpts of over four years of friendship). Evidence of every trip and piece of correspondence because the two of us, and our parents, since filing. My copy of the I-129F that we fired off. All of the forms required for packet 3 and 4, everything I've recovered to date regarding my immunizations (boy was that stuff hard to track down), some information regarding my consulate, reviews, what to look for, etc. Basically everything regarding this part of the process. I've also got my passport in there for safe keeping.

All of my paperwork for my wedding, pre-AOS, SSN, etc, I left in the big binder. I still found it had usefulness, haha. Plus I didn't want to make it seem like I was walking into the interview with assumptions of approval (but I am, oh I am, haha).

Your case is bigger than mine, but mine's green. I claim victory. tongue.gif

I wish we could've agreed on the civil ceremony. Like there aren't enough tedious details to worry about without throwing in a day that will be cataloged in every photo album.

Oh do tell on how you organized the little folder, I have no clue what to do...I have to send something that will fit through a slotted window. Just another thing I have to worry about...haha.

My original was a massive binder... until someone pointed out about the window. headbonk.gif

Soooo... my new system, which I finished up this weekend, consists of something like this, with each section inside labelled, and the information in each section contained in a folder like this., to be easily removed and handed over.

It actually looks so much better now, plus it'll be easier to carry, as it'll be closed when not in use. No worries about everything falling out in my frantic rush.

Oh my goodness I'm glad to see that someone else is avoiding wedding plans! I get so overwhelmed when I start talking about it, and my husband to be thinks everything is simple and we can take care of it all when he gets here...within the 90 days. It takes that long to just find a dress...for me anyway...hahaha. Men know nothing about wedding preperations...so cute.

!!!

Can I please, please, please give you a hug?!

Yes, my fiance is completely oblivious to anything involved in planning a wedding (yet expects me to know.. um, it's MY first marriage too... blink.gif ). He, too, thought we could plan a wedding for fifty or so within the first two months of me being down there, invite everyone and be on our merry way... Haha. Riiiight. And he was very much against the idea of a quick civil ceremony first, which would allow us to plan the big celebration six months or so down the line... So now I'm in contact with various wedding coordinators, etc, and I don't want to deal with any of it yet!

Not to mention, it's Orlando... The capital of destination weddings without a pricetag! I wish.. So I definitely feel your pain.

Hahahaha...they are clueless aren't they? Mine doesn't want a civil ceremony either with a party months later...what can I say....I agreed of course...haha. I'm thinking a rented beach house by the sea with a beautiful yard, nice lighting...around 50-70 people. Then....I thought about the weather! I can't plan anything, I don't know if it will be cold out, or raining...can't get married on the beach if it's raining! So frustrating. At least you don't have to worry about the cold, it's always warm in orlando! I just keep praying it will just come together in some magical way...haha. blink.gif

True, in the wintertime, I don't have to worry about the weather at all. In the summertime, I simply couldn't have an outdoor wedding as it rains almost every single day. But, I get the added bonus of trying to plan it all from allllll the way up here. Somehow, I cringe at the idea of putting down deposits right now.

If not, I really do reiterate the desire to have my file buried in that same box.

They did seem to be working in overdrive yesterday... (sad to say when there's only some six approvals, but hey, still major improvement to one or two). Maybe a few will kick that trend into high gear one last day before the weekend? Maybe, perhaps?

No. I did not file military expedite.
Now I am waiting for the official NOA2 document in mail.

My fiancee has no property in Cuba so the rest of the process should be smooth.
Yes Cubans need permission from the government to leave the island, it's sort of a visa that is only given once you are cleared to go. That means EVERYTHING you have is now for the government . The goes from house, bank accounts, bicycle, TV, rice maker ....

good luck guys!!!
I ll be here informing you about my progress and congratulating you on your approvals which I am sure are just around the corner.

Wow, that's the first I've heard of that... Well, goodluck to you and your fiancee. Praying for a smooth process the rest of the way for you both.

Did you file for a military expedite, by chance?

If not, I really do reiterate the desire to have my file buried in that same box.

They did seem to be working in overdrive yesterday... (sad to say when there's only some six approvals, but hey, still major improvement to one or two). Maybe a few will kick that trend into high gear one last day before the weekend? Maybe, perhaps?

Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between September 16, 2009 and October 2, 2009*.

It moved up 2 days.. yesterday it was October 4 dancin5hr.gif

Well.....the problem is that is easy to make up some info and create a timeline. If it's true then thank God for the good news. If it's not then that was a bad joke.

PEACE..............

After looking at all of the approval for march, April and 6 in May all I can say is come on the rest of April. How in the h--- did May filers get approved so quick? some of them was less the 1 month from noa1, what's up with that.

Military expedites.

Wow.....this are very good news. The thread looks very alive now. That is so great. Come on Vermont!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PEACE...................................

I just checked the Igor list and the last one to be approved was March 17 and there has been 6 total in March with approval, soooooooooo I am not sure if he even has a timeline at all and if so it isn't anywhere I could find. I sure hope I am wrong, this could be very good news, someone took more then 1 file to the bathroom.

I daresay someone might've actually brought a box along...

And no, he doesn't have a timeline yet, which is why it isn't popping up. There is, however, one listed approval for April (switch the settings from unapproved to approved in order to see), and their timeline looks... insane/improbable.

I believe one of the May cases that were approved was a non-expedite, so who knows. Mistakes happen, and that may prove lucky to those involved.
