From my own searching it seems November has been the 2nd most productive month so far this year. Only March saw more approvals with 48. That's just from VSC and VJ members. We're at 43 already it seems this month could shatter the other monthly averages. They do seem to be back at pre pricehike productivity. Now they just need to clear the rest of the backlog.

hi guys,

im writing this here because most of my friends and family dont know that adriano is not in italy legally...they know he lives there and that hes albanian, but i never told them that hes there illegally because that sort of thing doesnt come up in everyday conversation...i spoke to him at lunch and i was really mad because he hadnt called me back when he told me he was going to (what a girl i am, i know)...and no matter how much i chewed him out about it, he just kept saying 'i love you, i love you, you're my life...etc'....this of course made me more mad because i thought he was just trying to sweet talk his way out of it...

so i called him a few times after lunch and his phone was off...i was getting really mad and also a little nervous...i called a zillion times and finally he answered...he was like 'i cant talk now' i said 'why?!' and he sounded all nervous he was like 'because im with the police'...all i said was 'oh nooooo, i love you' and he had to hang up...i dont know anything that has happened, and i can only assume that he is there because he has been living in italy illegally...i dont know when i will get to talk to him again, how long they will hold him for...if they lock him up or if they just send him back to albania....im so nervous and my heart is aching...

i know that people have a terrible image if illegal immigrants in their heads, but i want to make a few things clear...he is not a theif nor is he a criminal...he came to italy on a work visa which costs $4,000 to recieve and another $4,000 every time that he has to renew it (in his case it would've been every 3 months)...does that make ANY sense?!?! if one is coming to another country for work, 99% of the time it means that they have NO work in their home country....so he came to italy, overstayed his visa and never renewed it because he would be broke if he did so....he wakes up at 5 am and goes to work 6 days a week...he is a hard working and honest boy who is just trying to get by...he is my sweetheart....his heart is made of gold...i love him so freakin much and hope that we can still be together in america after this ordeal is over with...i dont know how this will affect the visa situation...of course its not IDEAL, but he was going to have his interview in albania anyway, so i PRAY that they just send him there and then everything will be ok...i dont mean to rant, and i know most people dont care about some illegal, but hes MY illegal and i want nothing more than to spend my life with him....if anyone has any ideas, please share...im trying to stay sane and i dont know who else to turn to

Susie, Really sorry to hear about this mess. I hope it all works out in the end. If you were completely honest in your application, USCIS will no doubt know that he's been in Italy. because of his G325A form. And USCIS will no doubt know that he's been there illegally. I'm sorry to say that, but when they do a background check on his name and personal info they will find this out. He hasn't done anything illegal with the U.S. which is good, but I'm not sure how USCIS will view his history of overstaying a forgein visa. I'm sure he's a great guy with good intentions. And if the Italian authorities send him back to Albania, which they will most likely do, then he just needs to cooperate and hope that Uncle Sam doesn't ask any questions. If you do get lucky and USCIS approves your petition, then he must be prepared to answer questions about his past visas during the interview. The U.S. is getting very tough on visa abuse, I'm afraid. And that includes visas issued by other countries. But these are just my opinions. Perhaps there's a chance they won't even notice, but I kinda doubt it. Boy, i really hope everything goes good for you. Good luck! And I also hope you hear from him soon to know that he's ok. I know that must be your biggest concern right now. Keep us posted.....

Not a bad start to the week, I guess. 2 new approvals for Monday and Byron's Leidy is getting better. Excellent news!

I see one approval from last week announced today (English Muffin). Did I miss the second one?

Well, last night when I did a timeline search it said there were 38 filers for November. then, just this morning someone posted that there have been 40 approvals so far this month. And without doing another search I assumed there must have been 2 approvals this morning. That's all. but maybe there was only 1. I havent yet searched again. And maybe the earlier figure of 40 was wrong.

Thanks Jason!!!!! Actually with her I act completely patient throughout this whole process....The only times i acted a little stressed with her is when she went though the miscarriage and last night, both because i feel so helpless being so far.

I didnt even notice that the picture was gone!!!

I didnt mean to say that you are both stressing too much. not at all. I stress more than anyone I know. So, I just wanted to say that I can relate to such feelings and would understand the physical effects it can have on health. Hey, you found your photo. That's better! It hasn't been there for many many weeks.

OK. Well, its good that this isnt something new. Sounds like she has experience with this and she will most likely pull through again. that's got to be a horrible condition to witness. Just keep telling yourself that soon she will be here with you where you can take care of her. And there's no doubt that she will have better medical care in NY than she has back home. I know that separation anxiety can worsen cases of asthma, so both of you should really try to remain as calm and patient as possible. Hang in there, buddy. I know you must hate hearing those words by now, but remember that your survival and sanity depend on it. good.gif

By the way, Byron....why did you get rid of your avitar photo? I know its been a long time, but I was curious.

God this process is sooo hard!!!!!!

I went through a miscarriage and my Leidy is in the hospital because she is having a hard time breathing due to her asthma....she is under anestesia and has tubes down her throat!!

I am suffering here so far away and feel so helpless not being able to be by her side!!!

I'm dying....God please protect her and let everything be ok.... crying.gif crying.gif

Byron, I'm real sorry to hear this. Is this something that has happened with her before? I mean with the breathing tube and the hospital? At least you will be going back to see her soon, right? How is she handling this process with the visa? I mean, is she stressed as badly as you are? Or does she seem to be a little more patient? If she stresses the way you do, perhaps the anxiety is a factor.....??? Maybe? Either way I hope she recovers quickly. Good luck and keep us posted.

Rescuing this thread from page 5 obscurity. Technically not Russian, but I think Ukraine counts close enough. Just who do we have to piss off to get Ukraine to invade?

However you feel about women in the military, note that these women are marching just like the men, but in high heels. blink.gif

Original link here.

Whoa! blink.gif those women crush our military women! No offense. How can the men get any work done? An interesting note. Their uniforms are all the same uniform. Uniformity. But their shoes are right out of some department store. Guess those aren't issued by the government. Interesting. Our U.S. military women have hideous regulation shoes. And their skirts are much longer. This can't be for real. Is this real?? I don't think anyone would fight these girls. The Ukraine should be ruling the world by now. laughing.gif

I have to say that i never made any friends in America when i was living there. Maybe, it's just me because i am the kind of person for whom it's pretty difficult to make friends. Sometimes i feel I'm not at all open to people. Though I did meet a couple of people whom i really like to communicate with but they were in their fifties so we didn't really had much in common. I can't call them friends of course. And i just couldn't make friends with American girls of my age. We were too different. At the same time I didn't really like Russians that I met there. Maybe i'm just too picky. So I spent all of my free time with Jason. And it was great. Never wanted anything else.
I think it's a normal situation for people who go to another country to live there. it takes time to find new friends. Sometimes it takes years. But i'm sure that when we are living together with Jason again eventually i will find friends. We are all sociable creatures, we just need to communicate with others besides our beloved ones. I'm not worried about it at all even if sometimes i have problems with getting to know new people. Sometime in future i will have close friends, meanwhile i won't be bored with Jason. I never was.

I must say that living in America while on J1 together with Jason really helped me to get acquainted with American life better. I know it's not that easy as some russian girls think. I know how many responsibilities i will have when i come there. I admit that my parents spoilt me and I admit that I have a pretty easy life here now. I earn enough money to pay for my rent , other bills and for everything I want now. But I am so ready to change it for living with Jason. I had an experience living with him, I know where I am going. And I felt so much happy working everyday but coming home at night knowing that my Jason is there waiting for me. Trust me, it's so much better than just living alone in Moscow.
The good thing for us is that I am working for American company now and when i come to the US I will still be able to work for them on-line. So, i think we will be fine. But anyway, it doesn't really matter how much you earn for a girl who really loves you. Together you will overcome financial and other difficulties.
And, Slim, just give your wife some more time. She chose you from all the other men and she doesn't want to leave you and come back to Russia. It says a lot. For some of us more time is needed to adapt.

I thought I would sneak into this thread, too since Jason is in bed with the flu. I just wanted to say that when all of us are finally reunited again we will form great families. Not only can I see that people in this thread really love and respect their other halves and these are the main keys to a family's happiness but also we will all bring smth unique in a family: our culture, our style of life, our way of thinking. Definitely there will be misunderstandings because of differences but i'm sure that in a loving family they will be of a minor sort.
Again I want to say that Russian women won't change in their essense, we will adjust and adapt to the style of living in America but we won't change completely and that is how it's supposed to be I guess.
And Jeffery, I really liked this idea about Russian day once a week. I hope we will have the same with Jas. I just need to teach him some Russian at first. But i know that he will definitely want to have "The day of Russian Food" more than once a week.
Well, good luck to everyone.

Actually, I prefer the Russian cheap stuff. It, well, cleans better! laughing.gif

Uh-huh, if you don't mind losing a layer of skin at the same time. And while I don't generally like losing a layer of skin anywhere, that's one of the areas I *least* like losing it.

Back in my military days that "official issue TP" was refered to as the "John Wayne" TP. Rough, tough, and didn't take any $#!t off of anyone.

I agree though, it is an "acquired taste" as I've grown quite used to the cheap stuff as well. Throw a little angel soft squeezable quilted stuff back there and I get a memo later asking "what was that, a pampering?"

Although I've got to say the absolute worst TP in the world is the little squares that come in the MREs. (Meals ready to eat. GI Joe food.) They come with these little 4" X 4" pieces of napkins that are passed off as toilet tissue. From what I've been told (I was in the Air Force, remember. We never actually had to use the restroom out there in the woods.) it takes at least a squad-sized collection of them to "get the job done."

Edited: Oh, and by the way, the pictures are great too. Keep 'em coming!

the $hit paper in MREs is horrible. But trust me, you quickly become an artist. Most troops will tell you that its easier to use a few squares at a time, strategically patterned in your hand, so that you finish the job in one crescent-turned swipe. Perhaps that's too much info blink.gif Haha. Damn MREs. Hope I never see one of those again!
