Well when I first started coming here last year it was taking a good 6-8 months for NOA2's...and those were the lucky ones! Now i'm seeing tons of people from VSC getting them in under a month which gives us MUCH hope since we can't even file until April. Yet, there are still those of you waiting all these months. I don't get it. No rhyme or reason it seems. I understand your averages based on the timelines here but there certainly seems to be very little consistency.



I am one of those fast NOA2's...and I completely agree about the processing times...I am happy about it, of course, but it doesn't seem fair that some people have been waiting 10 times as long for the same thing...

USCIS, GET IT TOGETHER!!! GIVE THESE PEOPLE WHAT THEY NEED!!!



Just got back from England. I was able to attend the interview with Darren and it took all of 5 minutes (we waited a couple hours though). I can't believe this is finally over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I believe DOS is the only office that can help you right now. I mean, they'd be the most efficient option, I think. And of course we all know they aren't that efficient, but you should give it a shot. If only these organizations still communicated by telephone. How fast it would be to put the pieces together. They really make me nuts with their ridiculous protocol, so ancient. Stubborn @sses. You might have to bug the ####### out of them but eventually they'll figure out how to put everything back together again. There's no reason for them to force you to start over, from the info you've given. I just can't see that. but you are the last person who deserves this right now. Not after all you've come through. But you're super strong and WILL make it through this too. No doubt.

Ummm.....you only filed 19 days ago. I think you shouldn't worry until 4-5 months pass without hearing anything. You have to be patient. There are still vermont filers waiting from June (maybe even May!) Try to relax. Its gonna be difficult but you'll make it. I wouldnt expect to hear any news on your case until at least April. I haven't been on here in a bit... everything just going along smoothly and I had no updates to share. But now I'm just plain frustrated and I'm looking for some ideas.

Last Wednesday I shipped all my documents to my fiance for his interview. I made copies everything before shipping it off. I sent him originals of my boarding passes, birth certificate, receipts of when I was in India visiting last, bank letter, employer letter, pay stubs, w-2's etc.

Well... the box is now officially lost! I mailed it through the United States Postal Service Global Express Guaranteed (via Fed Ex). The post office knows they accpted the package from me, but has no idea what happened to it. Fed Ex has no account of receiving the package.

My fiance's interview is not until April, but I don't know how to get some of the originals (i.e. pay stubs, w-2's, boarding passes and receipts).

I feel like just sitting down and crying. I feel like this process has taken a long time already and has so many hiccups.

Anyone with advice?

We have a lawyer that hasn't been worth his salt. He went crazy when I told him that I sent him originals. I had to point out to him that the packet 4 asked us for them.

I wonder if it would have made a difference if you sent it directly via FEDEX without passing through USPS... USPS is good if within the US soil but once it leaves US you really don't know how sucked up postal services are in other countries (like the Philippines-- our postal service here is just... SIGH).

When would the transfer from USPS to FEDEX supposedly occur.. still within the US or when the mail get's to your SO's country? If the transfer would happen when the mail gets to your SO's country, well.. i'll just hope they are not like the postal service here coz here they would let it sit in their mail room for a couple of weeks first before sending it out (in your case, transferring it)

I'll pray you get good news soonest.


This scares the sh!t out of me. Just sent all of my documents to Sasha for the interview, using DHL. It seems to be the preferred method for Russia, as the postal system there is about as useless as a puppy with an Ipod. 106 dollars to send a less-than-one-pound package. blink.gif Good luck to Franseth. Could it be they haven't come back to update their time lines? When was the last time they were online?

There are a few May filers left out there, but about 3 weeks or so ago I combed through the May and June filers still waiting, and it did seem like a lot of them were inactive. I think you're right, there are some filers who never bothered to update their timelines for whatever reason. So I would really only count May filers who are actively posting as "real" filers.

Its horrible that there are still filers waiting from May, June and July. The good news is that VSC is pumping those approvals out at a good pace. I've noticed in other threads that there are September filers complaining about VSC. It must make the older filers sick to the stomach. Hang in there, guys.
