You know you don't have to order those flash cards. You can download them from the uscis website for free.
The flash cards, test questions, and a study booklet are all right there on the site and can be downloaded and printed
on your printer. This is what we did. Go to this website and scroll down to the bottom. You will find the vocabulary test, written test vocabulary,
gov. and civic test questions, and flash cards.

I dont have time to print them and make them into proper cards so for $13 I ordered them.....and they still haven't arrived. Customer services said either tomorrow or Monday. Talk about sticking to the 7-14 days delivery!

Maybe you'll get them in the mail today. good.gif I started using them for studying today and I put only 8 out of 100 aside because I wasn't sure about the answer. So it's not that bad. Have you started studying with the booklet you got when you got your fingerprints done? Don't worry, you should get your invitation for the interview at least four weeks ahead of time. That leaves plenty of time to study. star_smile.gif



Hopefully they will come today, I think I ordered mine the day after you. I did the test and probably know about 60%. I need to get the new cabinet names to change the cards. I feel like I am at least 50% there. I have read some of the book I can't honestly say I have studied it. I am hoping I will find the cards easier.

Fingerprints are all done. 8 hours drive for ten minutes of fingerprinting. We were number 3 and were gone in ten minutes. The guard did tell me that our interview will be in Sacramento and not in San Francisco. It is the same drive but we can stay at my mothers in Redding if we go to Sac.

The date at the top level (in your portfolio) changes... compared to what it was before... or compared to the date you see when you click the listing and see the original date that the listed status was generated.

In my case when I added the case first thing this morning the Portfolio date was 1/6/09 and the date when you click to view the full status showed 1/2/09 as the original date of the status.... when I checked back at lunch time the date had updated to 1/10/09

My NOA1 has an application number, received date, priority date and notice date. It also shows my date of birth. None of the fields are left blank.


My NOA had a bunch of info missing like others... it has an application number beginning with NBC* (yes, an asterisk in there) and it does not work for tracking online.


Use all the ten numbers 'INCLUDING THE ASTERISK'. It will work.



I will only work after a couple of weeks. Also I almost always does not get updated.

I have to say this does look good, althoug it always seems to mess up when I do it, maybe I have the font too big??? Maybe one of you could tell us which font and size you use to make it look the way it does here.

I've been doing some research on this and I think people write Attn:N-400 in the address they send it to whereas I didn't. I just wrote the address which was given on the form thats why they couldn't know it was N-400 inside and it wasn't redirected but it will be after they open it. Can that theory be right? What did you write in your address broma25?


I did not write anything other than the address on my envelope

USCIS received your application in the mail room on 12/3/2008. They opened your mail and stamped on 12/4/2008 which means the received and priority date is 12/4/2008. Priority date mean the date that USCIS should start working on your case when the time comes. For example if my priority date is 12/5/2008 then USCIS will start working on your application before me. First In First Out.


as I mentioned mine are blank.

What do you mean, I think I had another date of 12/10 on my actual letter in one of the boxes, I am not sure what that was for or what it means
