Wow, that's a tiger.

Yep, a real tiger, and he was growling for the picture, you want to talk about uneasy!

In China anything seems possible. Never would have thought I could pose in the cage with a Panda either!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresGreetings Friends, New Here with 2 Q's
Sorry, GUESS U just don't see; wanting to see your bride or groom here as soon as possible. I was honest and polite in what I said. Some of you are rude! You are rerering to another persons loved one. I'm sorry if their typed English was not good enough for you. Please make fun of people in the future that you can see face to face! I came here to get help from people that truly cared about others! Those of you you that need to pray on the weeknesses or truly the week ones.

Well as a follow up; Raspect and I are now talking on Yahoo. He did not feel I was rude at all and I hope I can either help him or point him to one of the senior members posts on this site that are quite helpful. I never intend to insult or disrespect, although I see it frequently from posters on this site.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresGreetings Friends, New Here with 2 Q's

Good day all
I have two quick questions about this process. A little background: I am going to bring a female, high school degree, no english, 25 y.o. from Peru. I am 26 m from WI with a university degree.

Where do I send this I-129F form, and all my info??
It said on the I-129F form that the place for me to go is Nebraska, is that correct?? Even if Minneapolis, and Chicago are closer?

ok, 3 Q's please. I was just reading a question a minute ago. He said that he needs the 2007 form, will I have to send this before Jan. 1 to be able to use the 2006 form still??

and my last question. If her birth certificate is in Spanish, do I have to have that translated to English?? Would a Spanish high school teacher be fine to use to have her translate??

Thank you very much all

Without trying to be rude in the least, al respect intended if you have a degree and you can't understand the six pages of instructions on the I-129 please get an attourney because it gets worse from here, Good luck, Jim

Congrats! :D

Can you see a copy of the cleared check in your online bank account? If so, view the back and look for your reciept number... mine starts with EAC, I'm not sure if it's that for all service centers or not. Get that reciept number and go here, https://egov.immigra...ectusertype.jsp , to set up your USCIS account. Then you can log in and check your status online and sign up for e-mail updates so you get an e-mail when you're approved.

Oh, and happy birthday!

Yep, I can see a copy of the back of the check, but..... my bank stamped over it all and its a blur. Guess i'll have to wait for the snail to bring me a number. Thanks for the info

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresNoa 2 question

I plan on flying back to China to visit my Fiance On March 25th. My timeline shows that NOA2 should happen on or around March22. Will there be something mailed to me that I am probably going to want and miss because I am in China? I'm going to be there for 35 days, if there is something I'm going to receive do I want to have a friend get it to me in China quickly by UPS of something?

Jim

Just your NOA2 itself. If I were going there, I'd take everything I need for her interview with me, all original documents +1 photo copy of each. I'd tell you what you need for her interview, but that seems to vary by consulate, but its safe to say that the main thing you'll need is all the supporting doucmentation for the I-134. You may also want to bring certified copies of: any previous divorce decrees, your birth certificate, deed to any property you own and the amout of any oustanding mortgages on said property, banks statements, bank letter, pay stubs if required, statments from pension plans or brokerage accounts, - everything you might want or need for her interview which may vary by consuate.

Bill

We must be thinking alike, I have duplicate of everything so far and was planning on taking her a copy of everything. I just didn't know if she needed the originals as mailed from INS for the NOA2. I'm taking my laptop as my 14 yr old son is going and he has to communicate with his school teachers on a weekly basis to stay current. He is not happy he has to do American homework in China!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresWhere is my NOA2.......
I have been watching the China timelines and none seem to be getting processed with October dates. it is Interesting that there may be some geographic tampering. No way to prove anything. I'm just hapy they seem to be speeding up.

Jim

That's funny, I was wondering the same thing because, when I looked at the Visa timelines, it looked like it was mainly people from the Asia Pacific region who hadn't got their NOA2s yet ... but I think it's just coincidental ... funny how being anxious can make us start reading into things!!!

:clock:

Yes, same thing for me! I'm starting to feel anxious too ... our NOA1 was dated 24 October 2006 and filed at Texas then transferred to California ... in the Visa processing times I can see other people who filed at Texas and California with the same or later NOA1 dates (even November dates) and they have already received their NOA2 ... but our file hasn't been touched at all! The USCIS website says they process the petitions in the order that they receive them but it doesn't seem like it to me ...

I wonder if they seperated them from different countries, then look at them by different groups of people... that might make it slowly? Well I'm happy to see those who filed in Nov. getting theirs these days, but I'm getting worried

I would read the Guides to start then ask questions about what is confusing. If your using a lawyer they can answer alot too. I went without one.

Jim

Hello all,

I am new here and have tons of questions so please bear with me :P
Is K1 visa faster than K3 and does anyone know why?
i will start my process somewhere in the March and I was wondering if any changes happened from 2006? Also, I am planning to do through my lawyer, his price is very decent ( $280 + $170 for DHL) but I already purchased do it yourself kit just to take a a quick look at those papers and to see what it's all about. I am meeting my baby next month and I was wondering if he can sign some papers there and then just to give it to the lawyer . Are they coded somehwere or have some kind of bar code and the USCIS will see that the papers from my lawyer are different?
Thanks for any info :)

I'll become a regular forumer here cause i know i'll need a lot of :help:

Hi everyone. Here's my story...
In September '05 I took a 1 year contract to work a construction job in Beijing, China. The month after I arrived, I met a cute, beautiful girl and we started dating. It wasn't long before we were totally in love and we decided that she should come to the US so we can get married.

Well, I got back in September '06 and immediately started working on my I-129F. I turned it in mid-November. Today I got an email saying it has been approved! They say they are mailing me some info.

What I want to know is, what's the next step? This is making me very anxious and I can't sleep, I miss her so much. I know she's probably gonna need to get a bunch of immunizations, but is there anything else I'm missing? How much longer of a wait are we looking at?

Congrats on NOA1!

The copies are mostly for your own reference I think, and perhaps for your fiance. It is a good idea to make copies of what you send in and to have a duplicate copy of the entire package in your own file, but as far as I know, it is not at all necessary. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Also, the consulate should already have the package. Am I wrong?

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedureshotel receipt translation ????
very true. i did not bother to have any receipts translated at all. I figured since they were only an insignificant amount of the pile of proof that i supplied why bother. FWAGUY is very correct in his statement though, Guess I will find out in a few days if I made a mistake.

§ 1003.33 Translation of documents.

Any foreign language document offered by a party in a proceeding shall be accompanied by an English language translation and a certification signed by the translator that must be printed legibly or typed. Such certification must include a statement that the translator is competent to translate the document, and that the translation is true and accurate to the best of the translator's abilities.

If you fiancee meets the above requiremtents and signs a statement as such then she can
