well, medical system in Ukraine is not bad is not good. We don't have medical insurance like you have here in the USA. But still you have to pay for some service. All depends who a doctor is. Even private hospitals sometimes have not experienced [skilled] doctors. There are many hospitals in Ukraine everywhere( state or private ). What region?

Hello everyone does any body know is I can summit my e-mails as a proof of relationship with my fiancee even though they all are in Russian? Do I have to translate those e-mails to presented at the interview?

thanks

Yes, you can print and take some emails to the interview (I took about 10 of them with me), and no, they do not need to be translated into English.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionVietnam and Ukrainian Police Certs
She needs two police records. If she lived over 6 months in a foreign country she needs one and one Ukrainian police record. It doesn't matter where she lived or lives in Ukraine, she will be given one police record.

About Vietman police record, I think she needs to call to Vietnam Embassy in Ukraine.

Hi all,

Does any one have an e-mail address for the embassy in Kiev? I need to ask them about how many police certificates are needed from Vietnam. A cert from each district lived in in Vietnam or just from the last district lived in. All help will be appreciated.

I think better is to call them. You will get answer quicker and can ask more interested questions.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionInterview today visa?

Hello every one, today my fiancee have her interview today at the Kiev embassy, the CO told her she will get a visa but she need it to take back to the embassy more proof of our relationship like more e-mails and IM records or Skype records. she got the pink slip and they kept her passport. she took took back to the embassy more than 100 more e-mails and Skype chat records of us, and gave it to the security guard. Now we are wondering if she is going to get her visa or not? any insights?

Thanks in advance.

Jo and Sveta.

A pink slip in Kiev usually means that the visa has been approved, though they could still request for more proof (as you stated in your post). Just make sure the guard has in fact handed the package over to the CO.

Keep us posted.

I'm Canadian. As much as I regret this, I got married and sponsored him to Canada from China. This was primarily because of pressure from family and etc., there wasn't really anything there between us.... But regardless.. a divorce is currently pending.

In the midst of all this, sigh I met someone from the States and we want to have a married life together after this whole divorce is all over and done with. But because of my past, that obviously doesn't look good.

What are my chances of being sponsored to the States in the future?

As far as I know, that shouldn't be a problem for your USC fiance to bring you to the US as long as you get a divorce first.

I never in my life wished so much I could read upside down!

Kim and Russ were stuck there for three weeks back in September, and then it seemed a great many from around November onward ended up there. 53 days added to my wait sure did not impress me much.

There isn't anything to say so, but it seems to me a percentage of cases are being set aside and subjected to further scrutiny. I guess we just drew

Does anyone know what gives with this? A couple of my good friends from VJ have had this happen recently, it just never seemed to be a problem until late in 2008, early 2009. Has anyone discovered what is going on? I feel bad for anyone caught up in this, is this something we can all look forward to in the future? I mean, I don't understand. A year ago VSC was by far ahead of CSC in processing petitions, the the trend reversed, the VSC starts to get caught up again and now this. I have only been on this site a year or so but it seems there is some sort of chronic malady with the system, there just doesn't seem to be a seamless and well run operation and there should be, I mean this isn't rocket surgery!

I don't understand it either.... it seems that a lot of people who got their NOA-2 late in 08 or early 09 are going through the same type of "screening".

I've read several things on VJ concerning this apparent form letter that often gets sent out from NVC concerning K-1 visa petitions and now I'm wondering what typically happens after this letter. As for myself, I received this letter (that states "...within a week the petition will be forwarded to the appropriate visa-issuing post...") dated the 8th of September and as of today, one week later, it still hasn't left NVC. I was also told today that our petition is undergoing "additional processing." I read one post that says your petition will be received at the embassy (in this particular post they were talking about Kiev/Kyiv) within 2-3 weeks after this "forwarding" letter. I'm hoping this is accurate. Actually I was hoping for a shorter stay at NVC but I guess I shouldn't complain about that if it does indeed happen as I have read that often it is much worse than 2-3 weeks.

In case anyone else is curious about what is really happening after this letter from NVC, I thought maybe those of us that have received it could list the date the letter was received and then the dates of any significant occurences after receiving the letter--hopfeully the day it leaves NVC and or the day it arrives at the embassy. This can either help to ease our minds or to give us more reason to worry, but either way it would be nice to know what is really happening.

Forwarding letter dated: Sept 08, 2009
Date petition left NVC/number of days after letter: */* days

P.S. Thanks in advance to anyone willing to participate.

So, if NVC tells you that you are in AP there is no reason to panic. I guess the next step is to wait 2 -3 weeks for Kiev to put my case in the system before I can call them so we can get the interview right?? Also once they have the case in the system how long do we have to wait for an Interview???

That's great, isn't it?!? good.gif good.gif good.gif Congrats!

Yes, right.. it takes 2-3 weeks from NVC to put your case into the system. As soon as they do it you can call to the call center and make an appoitment. When you call to the call center, first they will tell you the nearest avaliable day and if you don't like or don't need or whatever, you can say what day would be the best for you, except Ukrainian, American holidays and Fridays.

So let that be a warning to you all about finishing your sandwiches before re-entering the USA.

Holly Cow....you were smugling a hog's #### into the country?!?!?!?! mad.gif mad.gif ...shame on you good.gif good.gif those animals are dangerous and almost on the verge of becoming FOOD !!!! devil.gif good.gif

Don't sweat, at least you weren't carrying a stinky fisk..just as Gary about fish...you will understand. LOL LOL

Anyway, the ham has nothing to do with it... if you ever had any security clearence check, guess what? your name is on the database, and they will check it twice, 3 times.. if your name is something like John Smith, guess what!... they will check it...no kidding now...if you have a smiliar name on the SNA database, guess what!...if you were in Vietnam...guess what. if you are a veteran, guess what...the list goes on and on and on....gotta love big brother....

I don't mean to bring you down brother, but here's the pitch....it can take a long a$$ time (2 days to 8 weeks, that's the way it is)...so in the mean time, get her documents together, meaning, BC translations, get ready for the interview as much as you can.

As Gary & Alla have said so many times, and I have to agree with them, Kiev is one of the easiest Embassy's you will have to deal with, as long as you have all yours ducks in a row.

WOW!!! Congratulations!!!! Now NVC works faster, it takes about one month! That's great!!! kicking.gif kicking.gif kicking.gif

Our K3 got to NVC on March 6th and was stuck in AP on March 10th. It was just sent to embassy today star_smile.gif Which means we were in AP for 34 days total.

This is bitter sweet news to us since we had decided to follow CR1 but today found out our CR1 is also stuck in AP wacko.gif Stupid AP mad.gif Anyways, my hubby and I will follow whichever one gets us reunited faster cz we are so freakin' tired of this separation and nerve-wrecking wait!!! So we shall see where that leads us...We are now hoping to secure a May interview for K3 and be able to flip to CR1. I still beleive things happen for a reason. NVC closed the May interviews yesterday so maybe this happened in our favor seeing as how we can still get a May interview and possibly flip our K3 to a CR1 interview ...Still keeping the faith innocent.gif

For those of u still stuck in AP, I wish u lots of luck star_smile.gif star_smile.gif star_smile.gif star_smile.gif and hope u too are out soon. I know how frustrating it is when ur hands are tied.

My Congratulations to you too!!!!!!! kicking.gif kicking.gif kicking.gif

Ron [USCANDUAL], I read your post and can imagine the difficulties and challenges that life has presented you and your loved ones.
You'll be in our prayers for relief, peace, joy and happiness to all of your family.

With sweet emotions, I would like to say that my call to NVC last night was the one we were anxiously waiting for!!!

I then called my fiancee and told her the good news, and spent a great deal of time planning our future and talking about our life together starting a family as we have been talking for many hours everyday since the first day that we met. (now that I recall blush.gif ).

With respect I would like to express my gratitudes to all for your kind support and sharing,

especially Joe and Nadya, and Ron [USCANDUAL] for sharing your fine programming skills with our AP family. star_smile.gif star_smile.gif star_smile.gif star_smile.gif star_smile.gif

Let's all pray for quick relief for all who are anxiously waiting to be with thier loved ones. kicking.gif

I would like to say that although I'm not religious, it really helps to pray and meditate ( in any order ). good.gif

Hi Jam wink.gif How are you doing? I want to tell you that our case is in Kiev right now.. you can see that I have passed medical interview. All is ready. I sent email to our Embassy in Kiev and they replied me and sent me Packet 3 and 4 through email. And they said they have got our case and as soon as all documents will be gathered I can call to the call center.

Today I called there but I couldn't schedule. You will need this info. Embassy sends the list with new cases to the call center every Friday and the call center has an updating info only on Friday. Usually it takes 2-4 weeks to get your case to the call center. The operatos from call center can't schedule any interview for May because April is still wide open. And they said to call them again in 2 weeks. So, right now we are waiting, doing nothing sad.gif
